    Seoul Sampler
    Jared H.

The last time I ordered food from here was years ago since the cost is higher than much smaller locally owned Korean restaurants. I ordered the Seoul Sampler and it was yummy! It consisted of fried chicken, bulgogi fries, potstickers, pickled radish, and Korean street corn. The potstickers were fried well, tossed in sauce, and were very crispy. The chicken was fried to perfection and had the perfect combination of sweetness to spicy ratio. Bulgogi fries were my favorite was the fries complimented the very flavorful chopped up bulgogi with cheese and green onions. The Korean street corn topped with cheese and pickled radishes were delicious, however both dishes are very easy to make at home and in my opinion are not special. Service was good as the employees were friendly and attentive. There were not very many customers eating here for dinner on a weekday. I'm glad moist towelettes were provided because eating this type of fried chicken coated in sauce is very messy!

I typically just order wings, but my husband and I opted to share the Seoul Sampler on our most recent visit. It was nice to try a few of the items I'd never had before (Bulgogi Fries, Potsticker & Street Corn). I wanted the pickled radish, rather than the coleslaw it comes with, so I asked to sub that out. Everything was very tasty! The chicken had light batter and was crispy. The fries were packed with flavor and had a bit of a kick to them. I really liked each item. Service was excellent. They were attentive and efficient, refilling water throughout the meal.

So this place deserves a rating every single time I come back to Sacramento because it's so good. They deserve a five star every single time I come back outstanding nothing to say besides outstanding. Their chicken is just amazing. I kind of wish I knew how they make it because if I knew that I'd make it at home and they would probably not get any more business from me, but since I don't know how they make it and it's absolutely addicting. I'm gonna keep coming back and eating here.

Mmmm Bonchon the best Korean chicken. Made an online order and picked up within 20-25 minutes. Customer service was great ...greet with a smile and asked if need utensils and other condiments. Everything was good!

Came in on a Saturday afternoon and surprisingly not too busy! Our server checked in with us very fast and every 15 minutes or so while we were eating. We ordered the wings + drumstick combo, bulgogi fried rice, and soteok (not pictured). All were really delicious.

First time ever at a Korean Chicken Place! I was driving around Elk Grove with my son and saw Bonchon at 8246 Laguna Blvd, Ste 370, Elk Grove, CA 95758 This is a major international food chain restaurant (see picture). The restaurant was very clean although did show signs of wear due to its age. The tables are lined up together (no separated booths) which when crowded can put customers too close together. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our server, Vivian. She was polite, professional, and helped us select from the menu. She provided Superior Service in the highest standards of excellence throughout our meal. We decided on the Seoul Sampler, which had Bulgogi Fries, Pork Potstickers, Korean Street Corn, Coleslaw. Also added Korean Donuts and Kimchi. So let's start with the food. We had the donuts as a appetizer which were hot and fresh. They were absolutely delicious and was definitely different tasting than a standard donut. I think what made it so good was the dough that was used and the way that it was cooked. The sampler then came out and I began checking different items. I was more interested in the Korean Chicken as I see it many times in K dramas that I watch. Again, it was hot, fresh, and excellent quality. It tasted different than standard fried Chicken that I am used to. It was lightly coated, fried, and you had different types of sauces on it. The Bulgogi was tender beef cooked to perfection, over seasoned French Fries. (Note-I am not a French Fry person but in this case I actually liked it). The Kimchie was excellent, though a bit spicy. Cole slaw, Korean Street Corn, and Pot Stickers were also hot and delicious. Which brings me to an issue that you need to be aware. The secret to a great meal here is it must be served hot and freshly made, which Bonchon succeeds at! Getting a to go order and eating it 20 minutes later may take away from the eating experience. I really like this place and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it! Other customer orders looked excellent and all servers were customer focused.

Searching for that perfect Crispy crunch? Well, the next time you want some chicken in Elk Grove, CA got to try BonChon on Laguna and order Classic Crunch $12 for 6 at lunch time. $18 for 10 after. The service durning lunch time is great. You can even dine inside while watching TV. The ambiance and service is very welcoming. Not a huge line or wait time.

Amazing place for fried chicken! The servers are very sweet and routinely check in. It is also well Air conditioned which is much needed in Sac. It's one of the bigger restaurants for Bon Chon that I've seen. Soy Garlic - best flavor! - chicken was nice and crisp Yangnyeom - sweet and some kick to it Seasoned Fries - it was good but not my favorite

I love Korean fried chicken so this is the spot closest to me to go. Service was pretty good and I got my food pretty fast. There is a lot of space in the restaurant. Overall I love bonchon especially if you are craving Korean food.

The food is good, however, when you pay for 20 pieces, you should get a 20 piece and not a 15 piece. The waitress was nice however it's insulting when you tell them you only got 15 pieces and she checks your plate to see if you ate any, before notifying her.

Ordered the spicy and yangyeom flavors 39ct wings, soy garlic 5ct drumsticks, bulgogi fries, and japchae! Haven't had BC in some years, but I always tell people the stories of the Korean Fried Chicken that I loved so much at BC. Recently, now back in Sacramento, ordered a full meal for the family and myself to see how good everything still was. The wings- fire. So good. Worth the penny. Spicy was the favorite for the family, but is hot! Drumsticks- soy garlic was okay! Not bad but the flavor of the wings dominated. Regardless the large size made the drumsticks a pleasurable addition. My sibling got Korean bbq flavor and agreed that spicy and yangyeom were the favorites. Bulgogi Fries- 100/10. Do not sleep on these. Japchae- 5/10 Feeling ambivalent. Light, kinda refreshing. Recommend buying the gochuchang paste to add to give it more flavor. Personally, would not purchase again, but can see the appeal. Just lacked flavor compared to what I ordered. Korean street corn- 3/10 not as good as some I have had at Korean bbq spots. Would not order again, but still was okay. Overall, BC has held up to memory and exceeded my expectations. Some really good food thats worth the price at least every 2weeks when the new checks hit! Highly recommend the spicy wings and bulgogi fries!

Bonchon is one of my go-to spots whenever I'm craving Korean food. The place is spacious, clean, and has a lively vibe every time I come in. I always order the Seoul Sampler. It never disappoints. The service here is consistently great. Friendly, quick, and always on too of things. Definitely a solid spot for Korean cravings.

Food: 4.6 Customer service: 4.6 My family did some volunteering and finished by early afternoon, so decided to eat early dinner on the way home and our college girl got to choose where to eat. Walked in greeted and sat right away! We typically know what we want, but Bonchon has a new promotion menu, so we had to try their Seoul Sampler: two sides, two drumsticks, three wings and bulgogi fries, but we still ordered a small (extra) chicken, and bulgogi tteokbokki. I guess we were hungry because everyone was silent for about 15-20 minutes. We finally looked up and said do we need to order more...and laughed. Needless to say we enjoyed the food! If you're in the mood for CRISPY fried chicken with a little sweetness or spicy then give Bonchon a try. Note: The bulgogi fries become soggy if you don't devour it right away but other than that Korean "fusion" comfort food! Service is straight forward: sit, order, serve (but they do check in with you frequently), then pay...easy peasy!

    Yes

Is this place still open? No one is answering their phone and it's Monday today!?

They are still open. I saw a note saying they wont be open Mondays and Tuesdays though.

Does the happy hour discount include takeout? Or do I have to dine in?

    Dine in and takeout

    Do you deliver?

We will soon offer delivery option on Doordash and FoodJets.

How do you know which set of chicken is spicy if they're all on the same plate?

There should be a toothpick on the spicy side. Or if you look at the color, the spicy side is more red than the soy garlic side.

The sauce in the skillet was not too heavy or sweet. It had a nice balanced flavor. All the different foods that came on the skillet were good. The meatball was a tad sweet for me. The baguette was warm and crispy. So good. Very good dish and one of the better ones I've had. Grilled rib eye rice combo: 5/5. I could be wrong, but I thought the beef had a slight lemongrass flavor that I love. The meat was tender. We got the garlic rice with it and it definitely elevates the flavors. Would recommend trying it with the garlic rice Egg rolls: 5/5. Came out nice and hot and crispy. The flavor is on the lighter side, but I thought it was flavorful enough. It also comes with fish sauce to dip in for more flavor and it was really good with that as well. Our boys love egg rolls and they approved. lol Kids noodle soup/pho: 4/5. Generous portion for the kids to share. They keep it simple for the kids. Just rice noodles and sliced beef. You can also add on meatballs, but we didn't since our boys don't always eat the meatballs. The pho broth was decent. The boys enjoyed it. I don't know if I would get a big bowl for myself. I loved it just as it ORIGINALLY was, but the upgrades are AMAZING... The main entrance has been totally remodeled and a beautiful bar has been added. They also changed the tv area, in the main entrance, to look like the windows of an airplane instead of playing destinations on the screen, which I LOVED, because it enabled me to see sky views of places I have never and may never visit. They were playing soccer, which I understand, because the world is watching the World Cup. One of my favorite things was the hot, moist hand towels given at the beginning of your meal. I LOVED it. I thought it was so elegant and sopisticated. I am not a fan of washing my hands and then eating from a public restaurant, touch on the door to enter and exit. Now they provide the hand towels at the end of your meal, but this is fine dining, I am not using my hands to eat, and I have a napkin, if needed. So, I would prefer to cleanse my hands at the beginning of my meal. I sat in the newly renovated area which looked like the inside of an airplane. Sooooooooo, DOPE!!! It was BEAUTIFULY done! Kado Asian Fusion has been on my list to try for a while. I've been following them on social media…read moreand have read the reviews on Yelp and was so excited to finally try it out. The restaurant is super cute and has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is covered and shaded which is perfect for warmer Sacramento months. They have a variety of menu items including a build your own bowl opton, tacos, nachos, sandwiches, loaded fries, musubi and an udon special. I ended up ordering the Umami Udon with special chicken as my protein ($13.50), a Build Your Own Bowl with fried rice, katsu chicken, the triple katsu sauce, and stir fried veggies with "The Works" ($16.50), and Musubi ($8.75). The staff was super friendly and helped me make some decisions for my order and recommended the umami udon special, which I'm so happy about. The food was made fresh and took a little bit, but was packed with care and was nice and hot. I took it home to enjoy and the food was still hot and the portion sizes were really generous. The Umami Udon was amazing, it had perfectly cooked udon noodles that had a great chew in a creamy teriyaki sauce with smokey bacon, mushrooms, onions and garlic. It was a great mix of sweet and savory and lived up to it's umami name. I would order this again and again, it was so good. The Build Your Own bowl was also delicious and I can see why the chicken katsu is a customer favorite. The veggies were fresh and the fried rice was really flavorful. The Spam Musubi had thick slices of spam with a nice marinade and came with sauces for dipping. I'll definitely be back again soon, and while I want to explore more of the menu the umami udon is happening again!

My husband had driven by Kado Asian Fusion a few times since it's close to his work so we decided…read moreto check it out for dinner last week. Kado Asian Fusion is located on Broadway and cater to the lunch/dinner crowds. They are open from 12-8pm every day except Sundays. The inside was clean and had a decent amount of tables. We ordered at the counter and then sat at a table while we waited for our food to go. They offer bowls, tacos, nachos, rolls and sandwiches! I don't always know what to order at new places - so I liked that they had signs for specials as well as "favorites." We ordered the Rice with Teriyaki Chicken, Oliver's Favorite which was Spam Musubi and Spam and Bacon Fried Rice and Mom and Dad's Forbidden Feast. Everything looked and tasted really good! Obviously, it would have been much better had we actually eaten in the restaurant, but still no complaints once we got it home. Spam Musubi is one of my favorite things to eat so I could have downed like 5 of them! Portions were huge too - they even have a 100 year old teriyaki recipe! Overall, I would definitely come back and try other items! Staff were also very friendly, personable and gave great recommendations! Check them out!

When everybody else wanted wings tonight I really was in the mood for a salad. This was a to go…read moreorder so I tried to minimize any special requests to make things easy. For example, I was thinking about getting a different salad, but I would've wanted it without onions. And there's nothing worse than getting your food home and realizing they messed up your order. Not to say that has happened at this location before. I just didn't want to take a chance. So I ordered the Caesar salad. I was very pleasantly surprised with crisp and fresh, Beautiful Romaine lettuce. The croutons and the Caesar dressing were delivered on the side. And the salad was huge. There was plain grilled chicken on top and a good amount of Parmesan cheese and some cherry tomatoes. I know this wouldn't be the first place to think of for a decent Caesar salad. But I was very happy with it. Big enough for two meals for me. Or shareable if I wanted to share. I forgot to take a picture of the full salad. But the picture I did take was my leftovers. Still looking good the next day.

Goodness, I haven't had Fire Wings in so long since I am a Wingstop lover but I do like to support Sac origin businesses when I can. I have to say I just had the most saltiest lemon pepper wings I've ever had in my life. The salt was packed on or something. I had to wipe off/scrape the seasoning off with a napkin on all of my wings. Luckily, I only did a 6 wings combo or I would've been more amped up. Even after scraping off the seasonings, they were still unbearable to eat, as I can still taste the hefty amount of zest/salt combo leftover. Had to eat rest of the bites paired with my fries (good thing I got plain fries) cos I was starving! Not sure if I will be returning after this. Just all around not a good experience for me.
