The service wasn't the best but the food was amazing! They really do know how to make Korean fried chicken, crispy, flavorful and juice!

The tenders weren't bad but kinda dry. The kimchi was one of the saltiest things I've ever eaten.

Found this place while walking the streets of New York. The food was good and so was the service.

A great spot for some fried chicken!!! Went with a group so we got some big platters. The chicken stays very crispy even with all the sauce so I loved that a lot! The soy garlic sauce was very tasty, but I think the korean bbq sauce is EXCELLENT. It was soooo good I just kept eating them without realizing how many I ate. The wings also come with a side and we got the pickled radish which was very refreshing alongside the super saucy and savory chicken. Y'all this chicken was so good I forgot to take a photo and I NEVER forget to take photos of my food. We also got some fries for the table which were sooo well made like they were extra crunchy but still soft on the inside. They have a pretty good soju selection but the photo I DID take was the ROUND OF TEQUILA SHOTS ON THE HOUSE!!!! How amazing is that!!! Best hospitality ever thank you Bonchon!!!!

Walked in to a packed house with everyone enjoying the vibe - music, big screens, and great food. Waiter asked me to give him 2 minutes as he cleared & cleaned a table for me. Fantastic service. Near the Empire State building I came for the Korean Wings. I did a split order (10 Wings, Small) with two flavors and my favorite was the soy sauce / garlic. SCRUMPTIOUS, tender and flavorful with a crunchy exterior. 10 Wings was almost too much but it was so good I finished the plate. Recommend the white pickled radish complementary side, but you may have Cole slaw if you like.

Service: 3.7/5 Food: 4.1/5 always dead, i've seen max 3 tables in here at one time. size down your order- inconsistent wing size- anywhere from medium to massive makes you full fast. What I Ordered: - Yangnyeom: good sweet-spicy balance. too spicy for me tho, could only eat 1 smaller piece before needing a break - Soy Garlic: my go to, a classic. not too salty. - Street Corn: very mayo heavy, sweet. looks better than it tastes (my opinion for all street corn)

I've had Bonchon in LA before and was excited to see it in NYC. The restaurant's very casual and felt more like a sports bar. Service was pretty standard. I ordered the small boneless wings in garlic soy flavor which came with a side of pickled radish. There were so many pieces that I was able to take some to go for the next day. The chicken still tasted good after airfrying. Only complaints were that beer was pretty flat and rice was really soggy.

The spot for wings!! It's easy to find right on the avenue. Service was great. They answered all of our questions about the different sauces, they even let us sample one. The wings well crispy and flavorful. We tried the soy garlic and the yangnyeom. The yangnyeom was a sweet and spicy mix, very good. The street corn was good. Reminded us of the Mexican street corn. Mango cart beer was just ok. They have a nice amount of tables for dining in. It's a good place to grab a quick bite. Definitely returning

This Bonchon location is a casual sit down eatery with a bar. It is in a great central location in midtown. The service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant was mostly empty since it was around 3 pm on a Tuesday. Their lunch specials were very reasonably priced at 13.99. I got 2 mixed drumsticks and wings specials, one with white rice and one with fries. One with korean bbq sauce and one with the soy garlic sauce. Both sauces were delicious and the chicken wings and drumsticks were both very large and filling. Would definitely go again.

I appreciate that the Bonchon chain is widespread and reliable for a lunch option without needing a reservation. We visited this location for lunch on a Sunday and ordered our usual favorites: Korean fried chicken (KFC) and bulgogi with white rice on the side. We paired our meal with our favorite local draft beer. We always enjoy dining at Bonchon; it never disappoints. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Haven't eaten here in years, but Korean chicken is some of my fave. Ordered the 20 piece wings and drums, half soy garlic, half Korean barbecue. Both were great, soy garlic is always my favorite. Tried the fried rice with pork belly, I thoroughly enjoyed it, coleslaw was decent, seasoned fries were very tasty, the TAKOYAKI, Fried octopus dumplings drizzled with Kewpie Mayo, katsu sauce and sprinkled with scallions, was my least favorite I thought it was terrible, the octopus is squishy and the dumplings are mushy. Had the lemonade, also terrible, very watery. The service was pleasant and the store seemed clean. No complaints there. I'd return if in the area, they also have a full bar, for those that enjoy a good cocktail with their meal.

I usually love Bonchon but today it was a little salty and the fried rice was mushy. It was okay. I probably wouldn't come again.

Im giving a three star because the service was terrible got sat at a table order was take waited over 25 mins to be served. Order just a plater. They where doing all order for Uber instead of taking care of the customer that are there. The food was good the chicken wing flavor was right on. Love the coleslaw and street corn. The ambience of restaurants was okay small place and music was fine. There margarita pineapple was good

We were seated immediately, which was a huge relief. I'm currently doing a detox, so I appreciated that there were plenty of things on the menu I could still enjoy. Our server, Annie, was incredibly kind and walked us through everything since it had been a while since my last visit. We also happened to catch Happy Hour, which was a nice bonus. We ordered the value meal, which included several cuts of beef, chicken breast, a plate of pork, veggies, rice, salad, corn, and edamame. The salad was a bit salty but still a refreshing start -- and Annie even mixed and split it into two bowls for us, which I really appreciated. The meats took a little while to come out, but once they did, we got right to grilling. At first, only about five plates arrived, and I thought the chicken might have been missing. Turns out that was just the first half -- the rest came shortly after. For a set under $80, the amount of food was impressive, and everything was good quality and filling. Service was excellent from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with lighting that felt cozy but still bright enough to see what you're grilling. Overall, a great experience. We'd definitely come back.

I got seated at a booth and was given all the menus (drinks, lunch special and regular menu). The lunch special is a great deal at around $20 (after tip and tax) as I got to choose 2 meats and it also came with miso soup, a big bowl of white rice and a generous amount of salad. The flavor of the salad dressing tasted like chickfila sauce but with a slightly stronger vinegar taste. The salad was a good side dish to eat in between bites of grilled beef. I went with the umakara yaki beef and yakishabu beef. Each meat selection came with about 5-6 slices of meat. 2 meat choices were more than enough for me but for those who eat a lot, maybe going with the 3 meats, AYCE or combos might be better. There's just something different about eating freshly grilled beef. The marinades added a slight char and sweetness to the beef. I liked that they described what each sauce was in the menu book, it was helpful for me to figure out which to choose. There were also dipping sauces (shoyu, ponzu and spicy) on the table and I liked the shoyu one the most. The service was also great, the server came by a few times to ask how everything was and empty dishes were immediately cleared from the table.

What started as a quick break turned into one of our favorite moments of the afternoon. We ended up chatting with the bartender for quite a while, swapping recommendations for speakeasies and cocktail bars around the city. It's always refreshing to meet someone who's genuinely passionate about their craft and happy to share local favorites. The cocktails were excellent, and the conversation made the experience even better. This wasn't actually our first visit--we celebrated my birthday here about three years ago, and I still remember how impressed we were with both the food and its presentation. It was nice to return and be reminded why we enjoyed it so much. We also learned that 53 has opened a speakeasy downstairs that's open on select weeknights and features live jazz. Needless to say, that's already on our list for our next trip to the city. Whether you're stopping in for a full dinner or just a well-made cocktail and a break from the Midtown bustle, 53 is well worth a visit.
