The boneless classic crunch is pretty good! It reminds me of popcorn chicken. It's a bit on the salty side so definitely recommend eating with the coleslaw, rice, or dipping sauce. My friend and I shared the medium wings, side of fries, and sotteoksottek. For the chicken, we got the original and yangnyeom. I have very low tolerance to spicy/heat, but was able to eat the yangnyeom sauce with help of ranch and fries. The flavor of the sauce was very good and I would probably get yangnyeom sauce again. Chicken was very crispy and very good. Probably one of the crispiest chicken so far for me. We patiently waited for our food. At 12:15 PM, the male waitstaff came to our table and said there was a delay and brought us fries. During the time between when we first placed our order to when we were told there was a delay, we were ignored. Even after making constant eye contact with both the male and female waitstaff. If our waiter forgot to put our order in, that's fine but be honest about it. We saw multiple takeout deliveries being handled. The other three tables were being actively attended to. We went on a Tuesday night and the place was popping, not like there was a long line, but it was a full house. But let's be real, do I think this is the best for Korean fried chicken? For starters, going to Bonchon on a Saturday afternoon, was not an ideal choice. Fresh from the gym and needed my chicken fix, not one but two friends said I should just go. So I went, I did not regret it. Korean Fried chicken on a beautiful Saturday afternoon is indeed a great move. But it was for a bunch of people. It was busy! But, high credit to the staff as they were hospitable and indeed attentive regardless of how busy it was! Bonchon is known for its chicken and I never want to miss out on that. So I got the Medium Mixed chicken (4 Drumsticks and 8 Wings) with a side (Raddish). Since it is a medium, I got two sauce selections, Soy Garlic and Yangnyeom Sauce. Level with me yall the Yangnyeom sauce was legit. Consider it a savory version of the Soy Garlic with a bit more tang on the aftertaste it was wonderful and probably my second go-to sauce here moving forward. The chicen was perfectly moist and the skin crispy. Bonchon rarely ever misses the mark on their chicken and today was another example of that. It always feels like a treat when we dine at bonchon. It is my favorite Korean fried chicken spot in our neighborhood. I can eat Bonchon wings all day with a glass of cold beer or bottle of soju. Bonchon wings and drumsticks are really crunchy, and I am happy that their spicy flavor is actually spicy. I don't like it when places say spicy on the menu and then be disappointed after when it's not. Bonchon offers two other sauces for their wings and drumsticks. I would recommend the yangnyeom sauce for those who can't handle too much spice. It is a good middle ground between spicy and sweet. The soy garlic is good if you want more sweet and salty. Although the wings are coated in sauce... they aren't really considered "wet wings," which I'm glad because sometimes wet wings are not as crunchy and can become soggy. However, the wings are not "dry" either. The meat on both the wings and drumsticks were meaty and juicy. I prefer bonchon-style over wet wings. Bonchon added a few new things to their menu overtime, like Korean street corn or Bulgogi Fries, but I love their seasoned zucchini fries. Yes, you can stick with the classic ranch sauce, but you must try their cucumber wasabi sauce with the zucchini fries! It was a pretty unique combo. The Korean street corn was okay, but not worth it for the price. The bulgogi fries were good for sharing. Really disappointed with the experience at this location especially with the host/server. We came in with a group of 8 and made it clear from the beginning that we wanted regular tables together or if not at least close enough for our whole party since there weren't exactly 2 tables next to each other at the moment. One table can accommodate 4 people each. They had sat half of us at a table and the other half at the bar top and had told us as soon as another table opens up the rest of my party could sit down there. The frustrating part was how the host/server handled the situation afterward. At first, he tried saying we couldn't switch tables once the food arrived except our food hadn't even been put in yet. We were literally still in the process of taking orders, so that explanation made no sense and felt like he was just trying to twist the situation instead of helping us. Then another regular table opened up, and when we asked if we could move there so our whole group could finally sit at regular tables, he immediately said, "Oh, that's for another party." The issue is that we had already made it clear from the start that we wanted regular tables for our entire party, yet they still prioritized another group over fixing the situation for guests already seated there. What made it worse was the lack of accountability and communication. Instead of simply admitting the seating was handled poorly and trying to make it right, it felt like excuses kept changing depending on the moment. Me and my friends (party of 5) wanted to come in for their October deal that's been promoted on Instagram. (BOGO small item) We recognized they might be more busy than usual because of the deal, so one of my friends called Bonchon to ask for an estimated wait time. The person who picked up said it would be "around 30 minutes." One of my other friends who got there two minutes later asked for the table and she said there was no wait and we could be seated once the party was there together. Look, I see that it's kind of a "nice" lie but I don't really get why the person on the phone was telling us 30 minutes when there was no wait at all. Back to the "deal". While we were seated pretty quick, the servers paid us no attention and it was a struggle to get service. Before we ordered we asked our waiter about the October BOGO deal, he said today didn't count because it's "Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day and it's a holiday." I'm sorry, but on the IG post(S) there's absolutely nothing talking about specific days excluded. In fact, TODAY, the Instagram account was promoting it and in the caption it mentions "All day, every day in October." So yeah, I'm just not a huge fan of false advertising it's really annoying that the waiter was dismissing it. Water and cutlery also came ~15 minutes after ordering and yeah they paid no attention to us really haha. Food was okay. I really liked the bulgolgi fries and the chicken itself is really tender. It's just a little salty and battered in my opinion. (Also, WHY is a side of coleslaw $3 when they give you less than a Popeyes portion???) Overall, I thought the bulgolgi fries were definitely the star. Lastly, one of the waiters also took a smoke break and then proceeded to make a round of the entire restaurant to the point where we could all smell it. Even with the sauce and it being in a authentic hot stone bowl, the rice dish lacked flavor on it's own. Good thing that there's pretty of alternate carb options here. They also have chicken sandwich. Went here at 11ma when they open because I know if I go later afternoon or dinner time it will be so busy. Oof - this one breaks my heart. I'm a fan of Bonchon, have been for a while. The food is absolutely amazing - nothing comes close to their Korean fried chicken. When I made my first post, I was dating my then girlfriend - now wife. We love this place because it holds such a special place in our hearts - it's one of our first spots we went to as a dating couple. Now married - we decided to revisit Bonchon for our anniversary. The wait wasn't too bad, food was amazing - but.... when I told one of the servers that we were here for our anniversary, she asked "Why?". "Why here?" was what she asked. I totally get it - you'd typically go to a high-end restaurant for these types of occasions, but what she didn't know is that this location means so much to us. Bummer that she asked that - definitely not visiting here for any special occasion again. I'm writing this because it's so important that servers and staff understand the importance of these types of locations. It's not just the food. It's not just the service. *BOTH of which were amazing btw. It's the experience. It's the shared memories on these locations. *Big let down with the servers comment - I will definitely go to a "nicer" place next time we celebrate our anniversary. It was a little loud in there once it got busy. Great for larger parties. The food was out quickly and very tasty! I would like to try some other items on the menu. I arrived today at around 7 to a pretty packed house inside, which i assume is from their $1 wing deal from monday to wednesday for the month of May and also because the game was on. the employees made sure to continuously check up on the parties waiting outside to acknowledge and reassure them that they were still working on a table for us - which I really appreciated! after being seated, the employees were still very cheerful and kind, despite it being consistently busy and hectic for them, which should definitely be applauded and made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. the food here is very consistent no matter how many times I come, and even if I order takeout instead of dining in. the chicken is crispy but still juicy inside and the sauces are a good balance of sweet and savory. the kimchi pork belly fried rice wasn't too salty or sour as some kimchi fried rices can be and was packed with ingredients! the fried zucchini was also exactly what I wanted and l was perfectly fried and seasoned. overall, bonchon has been and will continue to be a spot that I go to when craving Korean fried chicken, for both the good food and the amazing staff and environment! read more

Food and beer here is always great. Now service is where it gets spotty. They seem to be somewhat disorganized or just plain understaffed. Water takes a while to come and a few times, no plates until we asked for them. The plastic cups always dripping wet is weird but I can just dry them myself lol. We hadn't been back since a few weeks ago when we left cash on the table including a generous tip for our bill. When she finally did show up, she only took my friend's order and completely ignored mine. The entire time, she just busied herself with napkins and utensils like we didn't exist. When I finally asked her for her name, she looked startled and said it was "Cindy," though I have serious doubts that was even her real name. It felt like she was just trying to dodge accountability. Bottom line: this was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. They have great radish daikon, and their seasoned fries are really good! The staff are polite and the kitchen staff is pretty fast with orders! I would like it if they returned their yumyan sauce or have different sauces I could try because I crave the spicy flavor only on occasion. I've tried a few of their other dishes that aren't chicken related, and I don't know if id try them again. But for chicken, it's a decently priced casual option with quick service and is delicious fried chicken! There is parking in the lot, and street parking.
