So flavorful and perfectly crispy. We ordered the chicken fried rice and it was also AMAZING!! The waiter suggested the donuts and WOWWWW. Please don't leave without trying them. Food was 100/10. The place was clean, and they were playing good music. But my favorite part was that they had toys for kids to play. My toddler was able to grab stickers and toys to play at the table which was so refreshing to see. Not a lot of places put in effort for kids and I thought that was such a sweet touch. We ordered from here through Postmates for the first time this past weekend. The soy garlic boneless chicken was so beyond salty, we couldn't eat it. At first when my mother-in-law said it was too salty, I thought it's bc she doesn't like salty stuff. But when I tried it, it was too salty even for my salt-loving palette. Quality of the chicken seemed good. If they get the marinating/ seasoning right, I'd be willing to order this again. Been hearing about Korean fried chicken at work all week so I decided to give this place a try. I barely made it for the lunch specials (got there before 3pm). I ordered the "Mixed" which comes w 2 drumsticks and 4 wings in Soy Garlic and Yangnyeom, and a side of Seasoned Fries. This was a lot of protein, since the drumsticks were huge!! The Soy Garlic was very flavorful and garlicky and the Nangnyeom was sweet and spicy. What stood out the most is that CRUNCH!! I believe Korean fried chicken is typically made of potato starch coating to give it that special crunchy texture even after being tossed in sauce. The inside of the chicken was very juicy as well. 12/31/2024 I came for lunch one time and got the 6 pc combo lunch deal. The chicken pieces were pretty big and juicy. So I thought for our New Year's Eve I would order the 45 piece drums and wings. They were foiled wrapped in a large tray when I got home and saw the chicken I was sadly disappointed the chicken pieces were tiny. So the pieces are a different size from the lunch combos. This is my go-to! The one dollar wing deals are definitely worth it imho. I would say 4/5 for the wings over several encounters with them. The Yeongnyum has ALWAYS been on point and is imho the most delicious 5/5. The soy garlic can either be perfect or have too much soy sauce sometimes 3/5. Customer service is always fantastic. They're always super friendly and nice--even asking us for our honest opinions and listening. Best KFC in the SGV. A much better option over bb.q chicken. Chicken meat is darker and more flavorful than the dry white meat that bb.q chicken often uses. Sauces and seasonings are better too. The Spicy flavor is actually pretty spicy. I also really like that they let you get up to 2 different flavors for each order, which you can't do at bb.q chicken. Tried out Bonchon for the first time in SG! Came for the May promotion for $1 wings from Mon-Wed, and so glad I did! We got there before the dinner rush after work, and were seated immediately. There were 2 workers taking orders and waiting tables during peak dinner time, so service was a bit slow, but they were very nice. The wings were so crispy and big compared to some other places! Bonchon's prime was definitely in 2020 when God's Plan and Astroworld just came out. The chicken was bigger and the overall ambiance felt much better. Now, it feels like the hype has died down and Bonchon has become just another spot in the 626. My recent visits have been underwhelming. The last time I dined in, there weren't many people, yet the service and food timing were slow. I'm actually writing this while still waiting for my food that was supposed to be ready by 8:30 PM. I checked in at 8:00 PM, which I know was early, but the guy at the front didn't even let the kitchen know someone was there for pickup. There was no line or crowd, so that was disappointing. At 8:30 PM, someone finally came out to say the kitchen hadn't been informed and they were just starting the order. It was supposed to be ready by then, not just starting. Service is pretty mediocre at times, though I do notice and appreciate the few staff who actually put in extra effort. Overall, this place could really stand out in the 626 if they focused more on improving service and stopped cutting corners with the portion sizes. We love the onion rings but the popcorn chicken was way too sweet. The wasabi dipping sauce was its saving grace. I did like portions and taste of the spicy chicken and garlic soy chicken. But would have preferred to be less sweet and salty and more spicy. I definitely am not a fan of the fried rice, it was too sweet and needed a little more savoriness. There are very few places I would EVER drive out of my way for... Bonchon is one of them. For starters, the staff is super attentive and helpful. It was my first time there, and they offered some of their personal recommendations. I went on a Saturday evening, and I was able to find parking and we didn't wait to be seated. They had a special going on ($5 beer pitcher ) which is a pretty nice deal! My favorite part of the meal were definitely the chicken tenders. They have such a special crunch to them. I tried both the spicy and and soy garlic sauces (both yummy, but I enjoyed the garlic sauce a little bit more) The japchae is pretty good! I would order it again! It's a nice side dish. On the contrary, I can't say I loved the buldak... I personally would not order it again but the wings and tenders are incredible The music and crowd was great as well! Prices are decent, it'll be around $20 per person but really depends on how many wings and drumsticks each person can eat, and depends on the size of the drumsticks. Some drumsticks are gigantic while other could be half the size, and this is one of the main reasons I've taken off a star. Another would be the lack of options on the flavors, there is only soy garlic, or spicy. Despite that though, the batter is crispy and very nicely done and the soy garlic is still one of my all time favorites. Each plate of fried chicken you order will come with a side dish of radish or coleslaw. These side dishes aren't worth it to order extra separately. You can also order a pitcher of beer for a pretty decent price if you come with a group. read more

I think out of all the Korean fried chicken in the area, bonchon will always be my tried and true. The crunchy skinnn and the flavors are limited but it's always consistently done well. With the seasoned fries, it's a perfect combo. They also have lunch combos on the weekend that you should try. I would say spicy is an ultimate heat. If you are looking for something more mild, I would say the yangnyeom is a perfect sweet heat and get the soy garlic as the other flavor. Service was great and we were seated quickly. Sometimes parking in this plaza is a pain especially with all the other food spots here. Give this place a try! It will satisfy that Korean chicken mukbang asmr forsure. read more
