    Fried Chicken - Soy Flavor
    Christopher B.

Friday, November 28, 2025 / 12:47 PM OVERVIEW: Pleasantly surprised. Couldn't afford to go there all the time, but the flavor of their fried chicken is delicious. PROS: - My first time to order Korean fried chicken. It was basically like ordering Buffalo Wings, but done Asian style. - Ordered the Lunch Special, Mixed (Soy Flavor) Chicken to go. Came in a small, cute box. Since the box was so small, I didn't think that the chicken volume would satisfy my hunger, but together with the lunch special side orders of rice & coleslaw, it was just enough to fill my tummy. - Although my order was to go, I noticed the warm atmosphere of the venue. It is perfect for watching a live sports event on their big-screen TV while chomping down on chicken. CONS: - It's not cheap. The Lunch Special is $13.99 without any drink and not including tax. (But includes two side orders as mentioned above) If you eat at the restaurant, order a drink and give a tip, you're looking at +/- $20.00 easy. But then again, it's a nice venue, and in a good location, the overhead costs are understandable. But in reality, in this current economy, the price is on par with places like KFC & Raising Cane's. - While the side order of coleslaw was delicious, the side order of rice seemed skimpy. - I'm basically a dude with a small appetite. But if you're really hungry for chicken, you might need to order more than just one of these lunch boxes to make you happy. CONCLUSION: If you're a fried chicken lover and want to try something different, please give this place a try! -

Mixed 6 PC: 4Wings + 2 Drums, Chicken Katsu, Bulgogi Fries

We came in on a Thursday evening. It was busy even though they will be closing in 2 hours. Majority of the tables were filled and we were greeted right away and they let us choose where we wanted to sit. We ordered the bulgogi fries, 9 piece mixed chicken with pickled radish and my friend ordered chicken katsu with rice. I really like the bulgogi fries, it had a great amount of flavor for the meat. My favorite part was how crispy the fries were. The wings had so much flavor. I'm surprised that they had new flavors. It was only soy garlic and the spicy one years ago. But I was pleased to see more options on the menu. I liked their menu as it was spread out and we were able to view everything without being overwhelmed. The restaurant was clean and had interesting decorations. I would like to come back and try other flavors as well.

They messed up my online order, not once.....

I love their food, but they messed up my online orders twice so far! Why didn't they check the order to make sure everything is there and the order is correct???!!! I would love to give them a higher rating, but they need improvement!!!

The food were all so good. Started with the pork bao bun and every bite had so much flavor. The original classic chicken was crispy to perfection, and the spicy flavored one was sticky and yummy. I chose a side of pickled radish to balance the spicy heat. And service was great! I love the attentiveness from staff. Very chill place with a mixture of music playing in the background. Had my six year old swaying to the beat of the music. You can watch the game while you're here, nice bar set up with beer and soju. Tteokbokki was yummy also. Had a nice cheesy, sweet, & spiciness balance of flavor. If you like sports, the screen is available for you and has a nice bar set up with beer & soju.

The service was super fast and very attentive! The ambience was quiet but still cute. The food is a 10/10! We wanted fried chicken so we wanted to try something different, the battered was so crispy and the seasoning was divine! Best flavor ever! We got the plain seasoning I forgot what it was called but it was the only one on there that was no sauce. The chicken sandwich was excellent as well very tasty and cooked to perfection! My kids got the corn dog and they loved it! I got the tteokbokki and it was so delicious. Generous portion ! Too much to finish but I wasn't even mad about it. Definitely coming back and highly recommend if anyone is craving Korean cuisine or fried chicken!

    Takoyaki

I love the chicken from here but I always have an issue when I order the takoyaki. Last time I ordered they were burnt and this time it's missing the bonito flakes. I really love bonchon and the service is always the best but I hope they do better with takeout.

I came here for the chicken and pleasantly enjoyed it. I initially ordered the chicken and wings with garlic soy sauce only. It's good but I was missing a kick. I asked our server if there was a hot sauce we can order on the side to dip the wings and chicken. She recommended their house sauce. She brought over their house sauce and explained they aren't allowed to serve a dipping sauce container, she drizzled our food as we requested. It packs a punch so be careful, I downed my water to help with the spice. It was really good. The Korean tacos are delicious, with a nice balance between the chicken, coleslaw and cucumbers. My husband had the udon soup, he enjoyed the flavorful brother and fried egg. We'll be back again, next time I plan to order the mix of the two sauces. The restaurant is small with a dark ambiance. It's cute, there's a bar available.

    Yummy Buldak

I have been craving Korean cuisine!! So I am so glad that I was able to try this place out. Firstly, I ordered the Bao buns which were filled with pork belly. They were very delicious and just right. You can also choose fried chicken or bulgogi as a filling as well. Secondly, I also ordered tteokbokki which was very tasty and just the right spiciness. Thirdly, I also ordered the japchae which was very flavorful and helped with the other spicy dishes. And lastly, I ordered the buldak with a side of rice. It was quite spicy, but was still tasty. The service was quick and very good. The place also provides a nice selection of seating and offers takeout. I highly recommend this place. And I will be back to taste some more delectable dishes.

Garlic Soy Chicken Wings with Korean Radish, Lemonade
    Penelope M.

If you're craving crunch, flavor, and a little Korean magic, Bonchon's soy garlic chicken wings are the answer. These wings are next-level crispy--like, audible crunch with every bite--and the glaze? A savory-sweet garlic bomb that hits all the right notes without overpowering. It's the kind of sauce that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate it. The lemonade was a surprise MVP: bright, refreshing, and generously refilled to-go. That alone made me feel like royalty. And the Korean radish? Clean, crisp, and perfectly tangy--exactly what you want to cut through the richness of the wings. Service was smooth, flavors were bold, and the whole meal felt like a treat. Bonchon doesn't just serve food--it delivers a full-on flavor experience.

    Kimchi fried rice
    Bethany S.

They have gone SO SKIMPY on anything with protein. Or kimchi. My favorite was always kimchi bacon fried rice, but there less than a table spoon of dried out bacon like protein and almost no Kimchi. How are you going to charge so much for regular fried rice with sprinkles of the flavors we were promised? Boooooo!

    Nav C.

I came exactly around 10 ish when they open and it was empty. The staff is so sweet. I ordered chicken and I also ordered the udon noodle soup. I did not enjoy the soup it did taste really bland and I was not a big fan of the broth or the noodles. I really love the boneless chicken here at bonchon. It's one of my favorites. I got the 12 piece! It is a lovely place to bring your friends especially they do have a bar. I really also like their fried rice as well it's a perfect pair to eat with the chicken! I recommend you to try it.

    Korean BBQ drumsticks
    Melissa D.

I had the Korean BBQ drumsticks, and they were still a little crunchy after delivery. Very tasty, and definitely would be better if I had it hot and fresh. The pickled radish sadly tasted like it was almost going bad. It was questionable, but the vinegar probably saved it. I threw most of it away. The japgae didn't have as much flavor as I expected. It needed more soy sauce, sesame oil, and garlic. Luckily, I had some sesame oil to add myself. The noodles had the satisfying chewiness that I craved. The ribeye also didn't have enough flavor or umami. My husband liked it after I added the sesame oil. Overall, the Korean BBQ chicken and soft rice were the best out of this lunch.

The staff were also friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. My only disappointment was the Thai Tea. It came in a can, which was my fault for not reading the menu carefully. I was expecting freshly made Thai tea, so the canned version just wasn't for me. Overall, I'd give Johnny Wokker Southeast Asian Cuisine a 9/10. It's located downtown next to the movie theater, if you're facing the theater, it's on the right-hand side. There was a sign on the door saying cash-only and no dine-in. I had cash and we were planning to take it to-go anyway, so that part didn't bother us. But oh my goodness... the staff needs improvement. Please address it ASAP. The vibe was not welcoming at all and felt very unprofessional. I could hear screaming and shouting coming from the kitchen from one of the younger girls, who honestly looked pretty mean. She was also taking orders. Thankfully, she wasn't the one who helped us, another girl took our order. Their POS was down and they said they accepted cash or Zelle, so we paid with Zelle. The girl told me, "Show it to me when you pay it," which I did. THANK GOODNESS I paid with Zelle. (I'll get to that). We ordered two salt & pepper wings and an order of garlic noodles to-go. The noodles came out first, so we sat down to wait for the wings. I noticed there were people dining in, so I guess the "no dine-in" sign wasn't accurate. When our wings were ready, we went up to grab them. The girl who took our order loudly asked in a rude tone, "DID YOU PAY?" It was embarrassing because everyone heard, and could've been handled so differently. I told her yes and pulled up the Zelle confirmation, the SAME one she had asked me earlier to show her. She clearly forgot and didn't make a note of it. Honestly, I can't imagine if I had paid cash. I wouldn't have had a receipt or any proof. So if you go here and their machines are down again... pay with Zelle. While we were there, I noticed a mother and daughter who had been waiting even before we arrived and still had no food. When we went up to get our wings, the daughter walked up to the counter very upset and said, "Give me back my money. We've been here for an hour and we were here before them." That pretty much confirmed everything about how chaotic things were. It felt like a total zoo in there. The system for handling orders and payments definitely needs work, especially with cash transactions. The tables were also dirty and could've used some attention. Additionally, the girl screaming in the kitchen shouldn't have happened. The wings? Still delicious. But the service and organization at this location really took away from the experience. The only parking available was at the garage across the street.

I don't think they have ever messed up my order and the service is always good for a take-out / fast-casual place. They have had interior decoration changes over the years and their menu is now displayed on tv monitors versus the wall, but it still has the same charm it has always had. Their food is amazing. I reccomend getting a fried snack or their bento box (don't forget to upgrade for fried rice or chow mein)! My faves as a vegetarian are the fried tofu & fries, fried tofu rice bowl, Kung pao tofu, and vegetables and tofu upgraded to fried rice. Those who eat meat tend to enjoy the orange chicken with chow mein, popcorn chicken, and Mongolian beef. Every bento ordered is filled to the brim and depending on your stomach, you can get between 1 to 4 meals out of a box. Come check out Quickly if you haven't. You won't regret it.

Everything came out quickly, and it was all very delicious, with pretty big portions and a good amount to take back home. My personal favorite was the pork and shrimp spring rolls! Will totally order takeout or dine in again.

We were seated quickly, and the waitress took our order, but after that the service completely went downhill. While we waited, three other tables came in after us. We received our drinks, but then watched as the tables next to us were served their food before us -- even though they arrived later. After waiting over 30 minutes, I politely asked the waitress what the issue was. Her response was that there were "a lot of things going on" and that we would just have to wait our turn. At that point, my coworkers and I decided to leave. It doesn't matter how good the food may be if the customer service is that poor. The overall atmosphere was unpleasant, the service was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this restaurant, especially during lunchtime. If I could give zero stars, I would.

THE CHEF IS FROM SAN FRANCISCO, SO YOU KNOW THIS SPOT IS AUTHENTIC! Opened in 2020, this business…read moreis CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED, this is the best dim sum spot I've tried in the 209! Unfortunately prices are similar to San Francisco too, so don't expect dirt cheap prices but for the quality and taste you cannot beat it. And the service is actually so attentive and friendly here! Dim sum all day, but if you order dim sum after 3pm then it's an additional +$1 on all items. Everything is made fresh to order and comes out PIPING HOT! [Beef chow fun $17.99] had a great wok hei flavor, don't be afraid to add soy sauce and chili oil on the table since it does need a bit more salt but the noodles are not overcooked in the slightest and the bean sprouts still have a nice crunch! Good flavor overall, I would get this again [Siu mai $7.25] and [har gow $7.25] were SO GOOD, nice meaty bites, seasoned really well and the wrappers were not overcooked, highly recommend. [Deep fried shrimp balls $8.25] were SO crunchy, crispy, a huge amount of shrimp inside, my mouth is salivating just thinking about it. Definitely need to add soy sauce and chili oil though [Bbq pork cheung fun $7.25] were GOOD! The pork inside is flavored so well and the rice rolls were chewy and not overcooked either! The sauce they add on top is also perfect, would definitely get again Pass on the [deep fried meat dumpling $5.45], the dough on the outside was a bit too dense and overly thick, almost bread like which I didn't enjoy. I wish it had a more mochi-like texture [Shark fin dumpling $7.25] had too much glass noodles inside, I thought it was still raw at first, but it was just a little mushy because of there being less protein inside. Pass [Salt and pepper wings $9.99] were okay, needed more salt and pepper flavor but they were cooked well! Would not get again [Bbq pork bun] was soft, crispy because of the sugar crumble topping and was so savory because of the delicious bbq pork inside! Highly recommend. [Salted egg yolk custard bun $8.25] were so fluffy, heavy on the egg yolk flavor, grainy but still smooth at the same time, really really good and highly recommend this decadent dessert. We also got these [deep fried custard dumplings] that had the same texture as the meat fried dumplings, except it had the most fragrant custard inside! Highly recommend. So glad we have something like this in Stockton, I'm definitely coming back!

Shoutout to Stockton, CA. Oriental Chef restaurant…read more I went for dinner with a large group of people. The majority of us never ate there before. So we were going in blind. We ordered multiple dishes.. The end verdict was ... the food was OMG delicious. Classic Cantonese. Anyways... onto the food. +Pork soup- it was simple and a good start to our meal. +Steamed sea bass - dished out from their tank. Steamed to perfection, topped with oil and sauce. Served whole. This was one of my faves. +Lobster-stir fried, chopped pieces. The lobster sauce was so yummy, you might find yourself licking the shell. +Sautéed greens- classic execution and flavor. +Chicken and green beans in black bean sauce-wok fried chicken and blistered green beans with that salty, deep black bean flavor. Mmm. +Beef and asparagus- tender slices of wok fried beef and asparagus in a light gravy sauce. Yum. + Roast duck- they only had half left. So if your heart is set on one, call ahead with your reservation. The duck was roasted to perfection having a classic crisp skin with deep flavors, moist succulent meat. +White cut chicken- a classic dish prepared well served with ginger oil. +Fried boneless chicken- Cantonese style fried chicken with its thick, fried crispy exterior and moist chicken. Eat this hot and fresh! +House chow mein - with thick noodles. Perfectly cooked noodles. A classic comfort dish prepared spot on. +Chicken salad with shredded chicken and jellyfish- shredded white cut chicken with shredded lettuce and jellyfish. The execution was a bit off; I tasted bit of shard bone. The customer service is attentive and polite with cool aloofness. However, the restaurant itself and the shopping plaza has definitely seen better days and could use a refresh. It has a neglected look. It tugs at my heart since I remember when this shopping plaza was first built.
