    Moscow Mule and Peach Cosmo
    Ren H.

We didn't realize this is located in the New Yorker hotel but it was a great place for Italian food. I tried the Peach Cosmo first but then stuck with a Metropolitan cosmo which I preferred more. My friend stayed with his Moscow Mule he enjoyed. For food, I ordered the Whole Roasted Branzino and my friend got their Chicken Saltimbocca Rollatini. The branzino was already deboned but I liked they still gave me the whole fish body. It was perfectly seasoned and the meat was tender. I found very minor pieces of bones which didn't bother me. My friend really enjoyed his chicken dish which also looked good. We stayed chatting and enjoying several drinks which our server was attentive with. Hotel restaurants aren't always my preferred choice to dine at but we had a great experience here.

Someplace new for my vegetarian sister and my baby sis opening Aries season (6th & 14th). Dinner before the show ten blocks north (walkable). The options were atypical Italian fare. The location was well lit, no need for a flashlight to read the menu. The party we were seated a table away were very loud celebrating a retirement amongst a party of five. The vegetarian had a classic Margherita pizza with olives and extra cheese. She was delighted with her choice and she took some to go.Baby girl had a crab cake, spinach and mashed potatoes. She was pleasantly delighted with her choices. The eggplant snob I am ordered the eggplant parm and calamari. The eggplant did not impress me and I finished half the appetizer serving. The calamari was lightly fried and the marinara accompaniment was delicious. The waiter remained available checking in.

I had such a pleasant experience here! The staff was welcoming and friendly, like I just walked into my Italian friend's dining room. The cocktails are excellent- maybe a bit too excellent ; 0 ) I had 3 apple martinis!!! They went down a bit too easily... We ordered clams oreganata-they were excellent with a perfect balance of breadcrumbs/seasoning and clams. Next was oysters- fresh and perfectly shucked and the mignonette was delish. Then caesar salad with shaved parm and garlic crostini, and the eggplant stack which we took home. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. We'll be back!

We were the only customers for a weekday dinner around 5pm. They give you some bread with hummus. It's cold but alright. Then we ordered fried calamari and it was crunchy and delicious. The spicy marinara on the side was perfect. The short rib cannelloni was decent. It was filled with ricotta cheese, mozarella cheese and well cooked short ribs blanketed with pasta and pasta sauce. Honestly, you can make it at home. Nothing special. My boyfriend enjoyed the banana magarita and they gave me a large glass of malbec. We were satisfied and the customer service was fantastic because we were the only ones there.

Just steps away from Penn Station to Madison Square Garden. We are in need of a quick bite for lunch, and we stumbled upon this place. Thank goodness for the AC that day. The had a full menu for lunch. The pappardelle bolognese was made with fresh pasta. It was delicious. My buddy said the margarita pizza was great.

Came here for dinner with a friend from out of town. We both needed some Italian and seeing that it's right by Madison Square Gardens (MSG), it was a great choice. Just a few people were in house when we arrived. We had reservations for 7:15p and were seated right away. It is a large restaurant, so would be ideal for big groups. Our server Tina was amazing!!!!! She was such a pleasure to have. She gave us her recommendations on the menu. It was a pleasure to have conversation with her. For appetizer, we had the fried calamari, which was great! It came out hot and crispy, and the spicy marinara sauce was a perfect match! For dinner, we had the shrimp calamari and the bolognese pappardelle. Again, both came out hot and were full of flavor and was just the right portion for both of us. We both enjoyed our entrees. And to top off the night, we had the cheesecake for dessert, which was amazing!!! Made fresh everyday in house and was not too creamy or not too sweet, it was just right!! I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu. Prices were definitely not bad at all, seeing that it's in the smack of Midtown.

this place is large and good for big groups. we were able to get a last minute reservation for 10 people on a weekday for lunch. the service was friendly and pretty prompt, had no complaints. the food was fine. the pizzas were pretty good, but very very thin. still not bad at all. the pappardelle was ok but nothing special; lacked a bit of flavor and lacked some richness. the pasta was soft. my lunchmates said the salmon was good, the short rib cannelloni was good, the carbonara was just ok. overall, not a bad spot if you have a big party and need a work lunch.

Quite a tourist spot due to the location. More a diner rather than an Italian restaurant. Realized after that they also have a lunch sandwich menu, which wasn't offered. The salad was ok, although my friend throughly enjoyed her eggplant.

Came here before a show around the corner as a last minute reservation. Overall the food and service was fine, nothing special to write home about but nothing bad. Prices are standard for the area, but a little high in my opinion. The cannelloni was the favorite of the table in terms of dishes (but that was also the most expensive dish). The peach martini was also quite good. Overall this is a spot I would say is fine if you need to get dinner in the area in a pinch, but not a place I would go out of my way for.

We were looking for an Italian restaurant near Madison Square Garden and stumbled this location We enjoyed a beet salad and the eggplant stack parmigiana style and both where very good Didn't get the pics of the main course as we dove in too fast but the Halibut over asparagus was fantastic. The gluten free pasta was just that and the bolognese that accompanied it was pretty good Great service and enjoyed the time before the show

Tina (Konstantine) made the evening a pleasure! From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were part of the family. The vibe of the restaurant feels like a high-end Greek diner, but the menu is certainly Italian. Location is ideally convenient to Penn station, trains, shopping and Madison square garden. We had the pappardelle Bolognese, calamari, and a seafood scampi dish all of which were ideally prepared. We ordered drinks as well, as they have an extensive wine selection. The cost for dinner was less than $50 per person, which was value considering the quality, service and location. The next time we're in the area, will certainly be back.

I ordered the Lamb Ragù pasta, and every bite was packed with rich, slow-cooked flavor. To start, my brother and I shared a pizza and the lobster appetizer, and both were incredible. My brother ordered the truffle pasta, and after stealing a few bites, I can honestly say it was just as unforgettable. The atmosphere was on another level. When we entered the restaurant and took the elevator up to the restaurant, we were delighted to find free wine provided for us to pour in the elevator. Admittedly, it was red wine, so not my favorite, and it did taste cheap, but still appreciated. To start off, we ordered the onion torta, focaccia, and smashed potatoes. The onion torta was surprisingly good and tasted like a form of french onion soup. As a focaccia enthusiast, the focaccia was fluffy and delicious. We also got the charred beans, carrots, ravioli, tagliatelle, ravioli, and trout to share. The charred beans were surprisingly the long beans and not the smaller ones we expected. However, they were very juicy and better than we thought they would be. The rigatoni resembled cacio e pepe with its pepperiness, the tagliatelle tasted like standard red sauce, but i did enjoy the ravioli and the ricotta inside. For dessert, we had the basque cheesecake which was alright, but I'm not the biggest fan of cheesecake. Overall, we had a great time at Ci Siamo and I would definitely recommend ordering the focaccia and onion torta and we could have skipped the carrots, beans, trout, and tagliatelle.

I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess.
