I was meeting my uncle with my girlfriend by the airport and bonefish was something close that we have never tried. I have heard many great things about this chain and I was not disappointed. It gets very busy at night with traveling professionals and had the atmosphere of a trending wine bar as patrons were enjoying social drinks inside and outside while waiting for tables. Florida has very generous warm winter nights where waiting outside was pleasant. The bar was commendable where we ordered a bottle of Conundrum while we wait which they had offered chilled which was a very nice touch. Not accustomed to chilled red blends but will definitely revisit. Our waiter was pleasant enough to suggest the Chilean sea bass Imperial style which was outstanding. It was grilled and topped with shrimp, scallops, crab and a lemon butter sauce that made you feel spoiled almost at how rich the overloaded sea bass glared back at me. The salad and bread to start were average and the accompanying sides were decent. Overall I highly recommend dining here for excellent quality seafood which seems to be semi-difficult in central Florida. read more

Waitress was excellent but dinner portion was small for dinner the shrimp should be large not the small ones from a Chinese restaurant charge more and give a better product. I know this is a chain restaurant, but the food was so bad, I had to comment. I had Lilly's Chicken, very dry and the cheese was too sharp. My husband had the Angler's Steak which was a cheap cut, he had to ask for A1 (which he never does), the Bang Bang shrimp app was good, but overall we couldnt even finish the poor entrees. read more

Went here for my first time tonight. The food was amazing. I had the shrimp and scallops. It was perfect. My mom had the spicy tuna bowl and loved it too. We ordered the strawberry shortcake and coconut cream pie, both were to die for. Service by Shelby was excellent! She took great care of us. 5 star experience for sure. read more

Wandered in here from my nearby hotel. It was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. The food was fresh and portions just right. Innovative cocktails added to the meal. My favorite was my server Blake P. Who should be working front of house in a Michelin rated restaurant. First time at this location, been a guest in their establishment numerous times both growing up and as an adult. Love the food and of course the bang bang shrimp. Unfortunately the manager on duty at the time seemed a tad unprofessional. The waiter seemed to be new and still on training so he's not to blame. But first it went a little south when my soda was flat, then I noticed there had been something red floating in my ginger ale. When I told the waiter he acted as if it had happened many times before and apologized. Immediately after he brought out our appetizer.. The food was good but my plate had the last persons food and oils all over it.. This time we called over the manager on duty and showed him the dirty plate and he also just said a half ass "sorry" like this has also happened many times before. The only offer he made to "fix" our disappointment was to give us chop sticks to eat our appetizer with... Chop sticks?? Smh... No thanks. My eggs Benedict was decent with really good potatoes though so not all was bad. Just killed our mood really and sort of lost our appetite. We are now back home and my boyfriend is currently over the toilet puking up all of his fish and chips. I paid with a gift card with well over the amount leftover on it but I just left it on the table... Free money won't bring us back to this place. My husband and I went out to eat here 2 nights ago and I'm still impressed with the experience we had. I was first impressed with their ability to accommodate us. It's been pretty cold out lately here in Florida and it looked like the only available seating for awhile was outside, but they had clear vinyl flaps to enclose the outside dining area and several top notch space heaters to set near our table, I was surprised how warm it was, and it was much more intimate outside anyway, so we were willing to take the chance when it was offered. We didn't wait long before several staff members were greeting us and bringing us water, they were all so friendly and professional. We both ordered the Chillean Seabass which was AMAZING, it was coupled with many sauces to use, our favorites were the lemon and mango sauce. Also, the Au Gratin potatoes were excellent too! Everything we needed or wanted was accommodated quickly and elegantly. I felt like royalty. We will definitely be coming back. read more

I had a bad experience here this evening. One of the server staff spilled my glass of water on my crotch. She seemed more entertained by it than apologetic. Manager and server seemed to care more about the paper on the table. Didn't offer any sort of comp. girlfriends potatoes were horrible. She did get offered a free desert for that. Bonefish is one of our favorite places to go it's usually great food and service but after the way management handled tonight's situation we probably won't be returning. I don't see how you spill water on someone and your biggest concern is the paper on the table. read more

We were in Orlando for vacation and had to eat something for dinner. I wanted to try something different, so we looked this up on yelp, which looked good. The wait was not bad and the atmosphere was nice. Our waiter was a tough but nice guy and was very efficient. However, my wife's side orders were messed up and we just left it behind, even after trading it out. I was at the Bone Fish Grill tonight and my husband and I ordered crab cakes for the appetizer and the waiter was telling us about their specials he really sold me on the sea bass that was filled with crab meet and it sounded really good. My husband ordered a steak and garlic whipped potatoes. When the food arrived we couldn't believe how small the portion was. My husband is a big guy, not fat. Tall and strong built. He finished his food in a feel bites, the he told me that he was still hungry, we laugh! Then when the waiter returned we asked for the menu, we decide to order dessert. We finished dessert and the waiter started a conversation with us, asking where are we from , we replied , we are from here, we have visited this place many times, then he said great that we relay alot on the locals. At that point I told him, tell your manager that the portions are getting smaller he immediately got the manager, she approach our table and she said that the waiter told her that we are complaining about the portion size. My husband replied, "yes" we come here quite a few times and the food portions are getting smaller and smaller. She said that she worked there for a few years and that the portions size never really change. She went on about the economy, then the most absurd remark she stated is that they are following the trend from NY that restaurants are serving smaller portions with dietary considerations. I had enough and I told her you are serving mashed potatoes from the ice cream scoop, and serve me with a tiny piece of fish and you are charging us $30.00 for my plate alone, sorry lady, but I don't need a restaurant to control my portion size. Lastly, please be aware that when the waiter tells you about their specials be sure to ask about the price. They are very sneaky in that respect!!! read more

You won't see me in this restaurant again, you can count on that. When I last went to the Orlando airport location it was to celebrate my folks's anniversary. We all ordered our food after waiting for an hour - the place was packed. I ordered the Ahi Tuna and I told the waitress I wanted it RARE. When I got my food I had NO idea what that was on my plate because the tuna was GRAY all over. I already knew the chef overcooked it. When I sawed into it (yes, it was that tough) and looked at the inside, it was more gray and gummy looking. UGH! The waitress came around and asked if everything was okay and I said NO. I told her that the tuna was not rare but overcooked and gummy; she took it away to see what she could do. She came back with another gray piece of ahi tuna but it was a little less overcooked. I opened it and saw it was gummy on the inside as well. I pushed my plate away because I couldn't stand to look at it. A little while later the head waiter came by and asked how was everything, and I showed him the mess that was served to me. All he could say was that he was sorry and could he get another ahi tuna for me. I told him no, that I was so done with it that I lost my appetite and didn't want to give the chef another chance to screw up my food. He needed to show the chef what the word RARE means because he clearly had NO idea how to cook Ahi Tuna. Even though I could have ordered something else, the experience was unpleasant enough that I just wanted to leave, which we did as soon as everyone finished what seemed to be more edible dishes. I left hungry, so I went to a fast food place and got a fish sandwich which was better cooked than that poor tuna the chef butchered at the restaurant. read more
