Went to Bonefish on 6/5/16. I ordered the Filet (medium)and Crabcake. My steak was overcooked and it was a sirloin because thats the first option or you can upgrade to a filet which is what I ordered. So the manager came by and told me he would box up my meal that was wrong and fix my original order. He was very courteous about it. My meal was excellent after it was redone and the manager paid for my meal. Great service and would go back. I didn't expect to get my meal comped since they made it again and it was excellent! Small portions. Basically a glorified bar that serves food. Could be great but sadly isn't. It's typical of the corporate food genre. Tables are too wide and seating allowance is too narrow for booth ingress and egress, dangerously so if you have back problems. Been that way since they opened and management won't fix it. I would use this place for an intimate dinner or a business lunch for employees, but I would hesitate to take clients to this place until you have tried it yourself. Some of the employees are verbally bullying customers for whatever their religion or mental problems dictate...So make sure this place treats you okay before you risk your business only to have a client treated rudely by the Wichita discrimination system of hate monger churches and mental case kids. We came to Bonefish yesterday, anticipating a lovely meal. We came in and were seated right away, and provided with water. Shortly after our arrival, and young girl vomited, right by us in the walkway. It was cleaned up, and then we sat there for 25 minutes waiting for a waiter to come to take our order. Consistently good, from service to freshness to overall quality. Since Wichita isn't flush on extensive choices for fish and seafood in one place, this is a nice addition to the restaurant scene. The servers are trained and knowledgeable, you are greeted and made to feel welcome from beginning to end and for me, at least, this is a well-run establishment, which reflects on management. I wanted to love this place but after huge inconsistency I won't rush to go again. First time I went for lunch and it was great, nice and quiet and we were served by the bar staff and the service was fantastic. Went again for lunch and served by regular wait staff, not so great. Went for dinner, wait was pretty bad to be seated but I didn't think to call ahead so not mad about that, bar staff were again fantastic but my meal and service with wait staff was so so. Last time was a lunch visit and my tempura battered fish was greasy and nasty and again average service from regular wait staff. I'd go again for lunch but only if the bar staff were serving me, wouldn't eat there again for dinner. read more

The waitress at bonefish was kind and the manager even came to check on us personally several times. I can't say enough positive things about the help we received. My son fell asleep in our booth right after ordering our food so the waitress offered to have his food boxed up to go. The steak and lobster was cooked and seasoned and cooked perfectly. I'm a 2 to 3 times a month diner at BF. It usually is good, however tonight I ordered fish and chips, an often ordered item. The fish was okay not great the problem was with French fries, there were only 13 a 14 fries, not even close to what you would get at Mc Donald's. A $15.50 meal, are You kidding me!!! All the reviews of this restaurant sound great! So great that I wanted to get a gift card for my mom for mother's day. I called and got a friendly greeting, and asked to purchase a gift card over the phone (since I live far away) and my father would come to pick it up. The person I talked to was friendly, and said "sure we'll take care of that when someone arrives" and then hung up the phone. I thought maybe I missed something, so I called back. Then I talk to a young man (i now sound like a grandma, but he probably was a young man), and asked him to help me buy a gift card. He put me on hold, got back on the line to tell me they didn't do that over the phone. The web site does offer gift cards in a very standard way, so i was puzzled. I asked him if there was any accommodation - it would be a great mother's day gift. I was put on hold again for longer. The young man to discourage me again, " It's really complicated, and hard for us to do. My manager says you have to fax your driver's license and credit card to us". I asked why, the answer because he web site doesn't appear to need my driver's license. The response "so we can tell it's not someone else using your credit card." I guess i can understand that, but I was able to call somewhere else and get a gift certificate without any problem. Why didn't the manager get on the phone to help me? I found the entire experience really disappointing. I probably won't be trying this place in any location around the country as a result. I can understand that they might have been busy, but I was trying to give them business. FAIL read more

I have been a big fan of Bonefish Grill for many years, so for my birthday, my girlfriend planned on taking me there for a Saturday night dinner then we were going to attend the Chiefs / Steelers game the following day in Kansas City. Needless to say it did not go well. The fish I ate was spoiled and I got food poisoning! When I called the restaurant to let them know they had spoiled fish in their freezer and that I had gotten sick, all the manager said was, "Huh, no one else complained." They never said a sympathetic word, never offered any sort of apology, nothing! We ended up missing the football game; there was $300.00 out the window, and was completely blown off by these clowns! Bonefish - NEVER AGAIN! They can keep their over-priced over-hyped food. Eat there at your own risk. If you eat there and get sick you cannot say you weren't warned! read more

I have dined at that this Bonefish and others before, but never have I have such a bad experience. Arrived at 5:15pm 02/26/2015. First off the hostess tried to seat us at a booth by the front door with the restaurant nearly empty, it was really cold so we ask to sit in a booth against the back wall. She said she would have to check and see if it was ok to seat there. Sorry but that booth is reserved, saw no reserved sign on the booth. We then asked for a second booth. She again had to check and said it was ok. The waiter was really nice told us about the specials and took our drink order along with an order of bang bang shrimp. We asked about bread and he said that we could have bread but it normally comes out with the meal. At other Bonefish Restaurants, the waiter brings bread to the table before taking the drink order. Guess this Bonefish is trying to save money. We did get the bread, but it was cold and hard. Thank god for the dipping oil. Our bang bang shrimp came out, but before we could enjoy it (2 minutes later) our dinner came out. I had the Ahi Tuna. Half my plate was covered in broccoli florets, 1 table spoon of couscous and my Ahi Tuna. The Ahi Tuna was a thin triangle 3 inches long and about 1/2 inch thick. When I cut into it, it was black, normally its red. The lights were set really low so I guess that thought that I would not see it. The piece I got was the dark bloodline trimmings or better known as waste. If I choose to go back to Bonefish in Wichita, I will ask to see the food before its cooked. I would also recommend that anyone else going there do the same. In all I guess they are really watching their food cost and nothing goes to waste. That goes for old dry bread to tuna scraps. Last night i was out with a friend and her family (Fiancee and 4 kids under 10 yrs old) and we tried 2 other places in Wichita and were told there would be an hour wait, we were near bonefish so we called and asked how long it would take for a table of 7 to be seated, they told us 20 min, so we hurried over, none of us had ever been there before, so we hadent realized it was a fancier place, or we might not have brought 4 kids, but the staff was wonderful, they didn't balk at the kids at all, simply counted them and then proceeded to ready our table. It was ready within 5 min! Our server was wonderful, They gave s bread with pesto and oil, which most of the kids even liked- a bit of a surprise- it was lovely.The kids food came out first, which was great because kids will whine if food is not prompt, and their food was great. 2 of them had the grilled chicken, and 2 had the Mac and Cheese- which i tried, and it was exceptional- all 4 kids were happy with their meals. when the adult's food came out 2 of them were perfect, the fish and chips, and the fish tacos, but my burger was almost blue rare -i am pregnant, and so that is a HUGE no no for me- I asked the server to have it cooked more thoroughly, and he was quick to apologize and get it to the back to the kitchen, not even 2 min. after he left, a front of house manager came over and let me know that it was not up to standard at all, apologized and offered me something in the meantime, nothing he listed seemed good so i asked for fries or something and he left, i swear it was less than 3 min later and he returned with a fresh burger and fries hot off the grill, it was wonderful! The 2nd burger was delicious, and it was cooked perfectly! The customer service at this place was freaking sublime! I would definitely recommend it, and I gave it a 5/5 because although i had to send something back, it was the least stressful experience sending something back that i can imagine. Don't bother going if it's just you and your spouse wanting a nice dinner, they seem to only give a damn if you're in a party. My experience was adequate when I went with a group of friends. Food is okay, drinks are great. If you have a problem, don't bother talking to the managers or store manager. Quite possibly the worst managerial customer service I have ever encountered. OK. So I went for dinner here for the first time. The waiter was nice, but seemed confused. After we ordered our entree, he came back to us asking what we wanted for the side about 5 minutes later. The raspberry iced tea was too diluted for my taste; it had the faintest hint of flavoring and sweetness. The bread and olive oil was fine. The wagong beef and ginger dumplings (6) came in a plate in it's own sauce. The sauce was tasty but too light again for my taste. The dumplings were really a very soft version of gyozas with a pasty center that just came apart in your mouth without much meat. We each had the sirloin and crabcakes. I got a side with the asparagus. The crabcakes were very tasty if not more like a mush than actual cake. The asparagus was actually quite thick and more chewy than crunchy. The sirloin was fine medium rare. My friend actually ordered medium well, but it came out well done (almost jerky like). So my experience for dinner was far less impressive than the happy hour experience. read more
