    Butter candle

This place is a vibe!! Bonnie is so welcoming and it felt like a community. We came for a jazz night where you purchase tickets in advance that include a fondue, wine, and the jazz. It was quite a deal and a full house. That's impressive considering how hidden this place is in a pretty sparse area and tiny strip mall. The decor is absolutely perfect and really made it a nice place to relax with friends. And the jazz was nice - not too loud! With the ambiance, the happy crowd, and Bonnie connecting with everyone, it felt like a perfect "third place". The fondue came with all sorts of goodies to dip in it. We also tried the butter candle which to be honest is more of a fun idea than practical but I love the creativity! We also had the dessert fondue which was delicious! I'm actually not a huge fondue fan but enjoy the activity. I've heard the sandwiches are great and they have a great $10 lunch deal. I've also heard the house made potato chips are amazing! Can't wait to come back!

This place is definitely the up and coming hype in Chandler!! I don't think I saw enough advertisement and social media content to praise this place! Both the cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue were amazing! I literally had to control myself from overeating! The server was lovely and checked on us every 15-20 minutes. I'm very satisfied with the experience overall. I hope to come back soon with my family.

Nice casual dining restaurant tucked into the corner and easy to miss. Some co-workers and I stopped in and it was a great experience. The sandwiches looked good but we ended up sharing a cheese fondue which fed four of us for $20, which is crazy cheap compared to that fondue chain. Mostly veggies with some salami and bread. We were weak and ordered the chocolate fondue as well since it was even more affordable than the cheese fondue. We couldn't finish. Services was good, ambiance was nice. Decor and furniture were nice. Overall good experience.

Based on Yelp reviews and another something I saw on social media, I had tagged this restaurant as a place to try. We happened to be in the area so decided to give them a try. They are located in the corner of a very indiscreet shopping mini-mall area and once we parked in front, we also saw parking behind the stores. We were greeted by one of the chefs and a server, who were sitting outside with a hand-written sign advertising their BBQ. As we talked with the two, we learned that they were part of Bonnie's and they were offering a special of BBQ meats and sides. Said we would consider once inside and had a look at the rest of the menu. Think bread! Like their name reflects, there are many different bread options including the Bread & Candle option shown on the pages I had viewed. We did order this because we wanted to experience the uniqueness of this offering. Wife started with a watermelon margarita and requested a sugar rim in place of a salt rim, which they were happy to accommodate. She liked the flavor and said it was the right balance of tequila and watermelon juice. I decided to go with the BBQ and ordered the two meat option ($35) and chose chicken and ribs. The sides included cole slaw, corn on the cob, beans, and cornbread. It was delivered on a cute wooden board and looked delicious...except that the corn, beans, and meats were all either cold or room temp. The slaw was not cold, which I expected...it was room temp. I took a taste of the slaw, the beans, and a bite of a rib and that was it. Will say bbq sauce was good flavor and cornbread was really good with corn and chilies, the slaw had great flavor with a bit of a bite creamy sauce. I was extremely concerned about the safety of the food not being at the correct serving temp and when we mentioned it to our server, Emily, she was quick to apologize and removed it saying she would take it off the bill and talk with the chef. The response back stated that they had been checking temps frequently; obviously not true because what should have been served hot wasn't and what should have been served cold wasn't. Wife decided on French onion soup and potato skins. The soup was full of caramelized onions, again not at a hot temperature you would expect and the broth was overwhelming with wine. The piece of bread on top was covered with melted cheese, and again room temp. The skins were ok...semi-crispy skins with tons of cheese and bacon. So let's focus on the bread & butter...what a fun concept. You are delivered a round of bread, pre-sliced and in the center was a scoop of garlic butter which they have embedded a candle wick into and when lit, it melts the butter into the bread. The bread is delicious and so was the butter...way too much for two and we ended up bringing home half the loaf, which I have made into croutons! We arrived around 5ish on a Thursday afternoon. We were the only customers until we were ready to go and another couple came in and sat behind us. Wife asked about why it was so empty and Emily said she wasn't sure. From reading the Yelp reviews, it does appear they have their busy days...this obviously wasn't one of them. Cute decor, clean, well put together and gives off a warm homey atmosphere. Staff were super friendly and I made mention that the owner should claim their Yelp space and the reasons why. I have gone back and forth on what to rate and decided to do a 3 because of Emily, our server. The food was definitely at a 2...sorry chefs but food temperature IS a big deal! Not only did Emily take the cost of the BBQ plate off the bill, she also deducted another 10% because of the experience. She is an awesome server! Thank you Emily!

Okay this place will be on rotation for a few reasons. 1. Service 10/10 2. Happy hour! 3$ drafts and 4$ wells, hidden gem! 3. Food was great. We got cheese fondue with hatch chile and it was delicious. We left no crumbs. We ordered the small for 2 and that was perfect. This place needs to be on people's radar. It is hidden in a small plaza off Ray and country club(Arizona ave) right in the corner of the plaza. Don't let the plaza fool you. I really can't cheer this place on enough.

This is a hidden gem. If you didn't know it was there, you'd just drive by. The staff is very welcoming and even Bonnie herself came to our table to say hello. We felt at home. Prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. The hemp wick in the butter candle was something that I'd never seen before. The sourdough bread was great. They have only been open three months. I hope they eventually get some high chairs for children. I did like the decor.

My lunch group of 8 women went here and everyone loved it. It's one of those restaurants you hope can stay in business, but it's in a terrible location. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated. They have a nice assortment of dishes. Most of us ordered sandwiches, two ordered soup. One of my friends flagged down the server to tell her it was the best chicken wrap she had ever eaten! One fun item was the baked bread with a butter candle. You have to wait for the butter to soften, but it's delicious on the bread with all the herbs inside. At the end we shared a chocolate fondue that came with fruit, marshmallows, and Rice Krispie bars.

    BLT with House Chips

Wow, great new place in a strip center tucked in the corner. Met the owner and friendly Bartender. Both were genuinely happy to be helpful and accommodating First time around I did the BLT and house made chips. Perfectly done sandwich and the house chips were teriffic Second time I had the French Onion Soup in a bread bowl. The cheese needed a bit more sear as I like mine with a crust on top so next time I'll ask for more well done. Haven't t had the Fondue yet but it seemed pretty much a hit with other diners. I'll be back for another visit to try some of their other sandwiches. I hope to see them succeed as they did an awesome job on the build out and the food is certainly well worth the visit. Take some friends to try the Fondue.

This place is a hidden GEM! The food was amazing, service was good, and the ambience of the place is spectacularly done. We had the charcuterie board and bread and butter candle. It was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we end up trying the chocolate fondu for dessert. The dessert was excellent. Chocolate was very creamy and served with strawberries, rice crispy treats, marshmallows, cookies, and apples. Very affordable with 5 star flavor and service. We will define coming back. Hats off to David for the stellar service.

Food was great. The cheese sauce I could drink with a straw. Came with meats and raw veggies. Would love to see this plate expand with boiled potatoes and or small meatballs or something. The bread with a butter candle is a cool concept and the bread is delicious. We also ordered the dessert fondue and it was very tasty. 10/10 all around and the bartender/server was attentive and on point with drinks. Will def be back.
