5 stars for the service and selection at this store! Richard spent about two and a half hours dealing with my indecisive self today and was patient and helpful all along. He was great at helping me learn about the proper fit for cowboy boots, explaining the proper amount of heel slip and where the boots should fit snugly. I must have tried on thirty pairs of boots! Richard and another employee- very nice young gal, I apologize I did not get her name but her service was fantastic- the two of them got me all kinds of boots and then patiently put them all away. My only issues with this store are they only have a small seat for trying on, and the lighting is poor where the full-length mirror is. After all that time trying on boots I still wasn't sold on what I picked out- making me feel horrible after being waited on so kindly and taking up so much time. Luckily after trying them on at home with good lighting I know I made the right choice. Came here with a friend looking for their first pair of boots and I wanted a new pair. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and the store is well stocked with a decent selection but not a ton of variety but I didn't really find what I was looking for. My friend found a great pair of brown distressed leather Ariat boots and I was considering a red pair of Laredo boots but I wasn't in LOVE so I didn't buy them. However we did sign up for the rewards cards which is completely free so my next purchase will be $15 off. This is definitely a good place to come for the basics. I will come back but I think I will do more research on line in the mean time. read more

This is by far the best boot barn I've been to. Not often do you find customer service like you do at this location. I went in to find boots for my wedding. Although I didn't actually find a pair that fit my color scheme, they have a GREAT selection of boots. They had much more dress boots than some of the other boot barn locations. Once I didn't find what I was looking for, their helpful friendly staff looked through catalogs and online to help me find the perfect pair. AND we found them! Lindsay and Hannah both helped me, and they were absolutely amazing. Both super knowledgable about boots, styles, etc. I highly recommend coming to this store. You won't be disappointed. Great store! Terrific crew....bought a pair of boots and wore 'em home. Next day they didn't look right, too scuffed so I brought them back to the store and they didn't bat an eye just told me find what I liked did an exchange and refunded my change in "cash money". Do Not Order Online!! Worst Customer Service Ever!! They completely screwed up a Christmas order! Received 2 confirmation emails for 1 pair of boots, but never shipped. Busy signal for days at their so called 24/7 customer service phone number, put on hold for 20 minutes then hung up on at their corporate headquarters in Irvine. I ordered the boots (in Stock) on 12/12, paid extra for shipping just to make sure they made it in time for Christmas, just got notified on 12/23 that they won't arrive until 12/26! This is a GREAT store with awesome employees. I received my first pair of boots for Christmas but unfortunately they didn't fit me. i brought them back to the Los Alamitos store but did not get any assistance from their employees and ended up buying a pair that were too big for my feet. I called the Lake Forest store this morning and spoke to Richard. He told me to come in to his store and he would help me with the right fit. I was informed that Boot Barn offered a hat pressing service. I went in to the Lake Forest location on May 21, 2018, at about 12:30 to ask about getting a hat pressed. The employee behind the counter (who I hope is not a manager) was completely rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I've been to other Boot Barn locations where the employees are much more helpful and polite. I would find another Boot Barn to make your purchase unless you enjoy terrible customer service. read more

Haha on a lark we finally stopped in for boots. We've been joking for years that we need to get cowboy boots. She asked us if we were interested in boots for being out in dirt or dancing. Ummm yeah. Neither ? Yeah, that's a hard "no" on dancing. So we opted for rubber sole and square toe. Got the shoe trees and hooks and remover and lotion. We have no idea what got in to us but it was fun. I couldn't name a country song or artist unless I know them from singing an anthem or being on The Voice but my boots are cute. I'll probably wear them on casual Friday for fun. They don't have a big selection for wide width in women's. But I jumped up a couple sizes and did ok since these are not serious footwear. If you are seriously into this style of boots and clothing, this is a nice store. I think we just binge watched Letterkenny and got inspired. I give them a Texas size 10-4. How I hate this place! I've gone here several times to buy boots and every time I walk out saying "Yelp You!" under my breath. Their prices are high, the staff is the most DIS-courteous, the stock is all over the place making it tough to find what you want. The last time I went in with an online coupon only for them to say they wouldn't honor it as the style of boot I wanted was out of stock (surprise!) and my next choice wasn't covered by the small print at the bottom of the coupon. I told the lady at the register (which I had to wait over five minutes for) that they should honor the coupon on the pair I was buying as they were stocked out of my preferred pair. This review is for the employees at this store. Although I'm not a fan of western wear, I came here because my brother is a big fan of Boot Barn and so I needed to maybe find something for him or at the least get a gift card. I went in and immediately was helped by a young man there. He walked me and my wife around making suggestions and giving ideas. I really appreciated his help and the time and effort he put in to getting us hooked up with something my brother might like. Seriously if it was left up to me to decide, I'd have my brother wearing all kinds of nonsense due to my lack of cowboy fashion! After all his help we ended up just getting him the gift card, mostly because the sales guy knew I was pretty hesitant and he said because western wear like any fashion is basically a personal preference. He was totally helpful and super nice and am happy to say, if I ever decide to go cowboy I'll definitely be back just because of the great service. read more

I purchased products on line because a store isn't close to me and it did say that if I had a a return I could return it to a store for a full refund. So I drive all the way to the store today to return and the manager tells me I can't do it today because their customer service is closed on the weekends and she can't call to verify the purchase. Now I have to drive back there AGAIN. Waste of my time and gas. I will never buy from them again. You mine as well take me off your mailing list and email list. Very dissappointed! read more

I came all the way down from Huntington Beach to this place. It looked alright inside but there was no one to help me. There were other people just standing around needing help as well. There was someone working the register but no one else. A couple people walked in and got in line at the register so there was no way of finding out if there was a way to buy some boots. Was going to take my 87 year old mother to a cowboy bar to see her favorite band Brian Lynn Jones and the Misfit Cowboys. Decided to go a little cowboy and bought two bolos. Great price, and nice looking. The register girl made a mistake and run up one of the bolos twice. She caught the error and had to get the manager to correct the double-ring. It took a few minutes but she apologized three times. So it made up for it. LOL read more

Went to Boot Barn on 05/08/16 with my husband and mother to buy some working boots. The store is well organized. They have cute boots for women and children and also have very stylish country dresses. You can literally taste the leather as you walk in lol. The girls in the front are helpful, so nice and not at all bothering. Even the people who are customers themselves are helpful and nice. The reason for the four stars is the owner (I believe) lacks personality and customer service. My mother asked him if they had any other sizes for a specific brand and yes he did answer our question, but being the owner he lacked personality for selling his own products. I was informed before coming in, that the boots they sell are on the pricy side (which is true) but are very good quality.. Hopefully it's worth every penny. But overall, it was a nice experience. read more

Later I found out they did in fact carry the boot on their site. The employee only wanted to sell me what they had in stock at their store. He lied to me in attempt to do so. UPDATE 4 years after I originally posted review. - 2 years after I posted review,, Boot Barn customer service saw this and wanted to know the details of what happened. 2 years.??? And I never got any notice of them trying to contact me when they did, so I guess their reply was just for show. The only thing I remember is to AVOID Boot Barn or get scammed. I worked there for a couple weeks and then had to leave due to family Emergency that's made me have to leave temporarily but I did talk to cooperate about being able to get a job back when I rehire but I talked to my assistant manager and told her I'm interested and available to come back and ever since I never heard anything back and saw that they made recent post about hiring and so that told me I wasn't wanted due to maybe me leaving? If that's the case, then I'll never work for a boot barn again if that's how they want to treat people and i guess management isn't great at all....won't be returning to this location EVER! This used to be a pretty good store when Diana worked there , now it's full of people just standing around drawing a paycheck. There's usually no more than two people on duty when is busy. I'll find a different store. If they don't have something in stock the answer is we don't have that anymore. If you're making more than minimum wage there paying them way too much, need to pay them a commission only that will light a fire under their butts. read more

I visited the Boot Barn Lake Forest store on a weekday about 4pm. I walked the displays until I found my size & selected a Lucchese boot in 2 sizes to determine the best fit. A salesman was helping a gentleman a directly in front of me. As I was trying the boots, he never looked up from his customer or offered another sales person. He left for the front of the store & never returned. There were very few customers. He must not have been noticed my Vintage Lucchese Snakeskin Boots from the San Antonio factory before they moved to El Paso. Nor did he notice the amount of Old Pawn Turquoise I so love to wear. If he were aware of the price of the boots I was trying to fit or the cost of my collectible ones, he may have realized I could be a valuable customer. Without assistance, I decided to leave. As I passed the checkout area, the same sales person never turned away from his chat with his co-workers. Oh well, when ordering directly from Lucchese, I can shop much higher priced boots than the limited selection from Boot Barn .... read more
