Stopped by for happy hour while waiting on my friend. Fairly nice day before the cold set in. Waitress came out quickly, very attentive and nice. I thought happy hour started at 2 but it's actually 3pm. I ordered the garlic parmesean wings and the garlic parmesean fries. For drink had the Aperol Spritz. The garlic wings and fries did not dissapointment. They were fried well and were basked the in the glory of what is garlic parmesean sauce; needless to say, the sauce was saucing. Finger licking good. I saved the rest for my trip since I couldn't finish it all. I appreciate the shavings of garlic parmesean on the fries as well. (Can you tell that's my fav sauce?) Of course the Spritz was good. I would def always reccomend boots n bones. I have to say, the food is good. Only thing is I noticed that happy hour consist of appetizers at regular price with limited options.

The energy was fantastic for a Saturday night especially with the MLB 2025 World Series shown on most screens. There are plenty of TVs where they play various sports. This was a nice reminder of when I traveled down south; just for a little bit. It's a fun and lively bar and all seatings are in booths very retro. I like the rustic, cozy vibe and western theme they have. Ordered the platter 4 with no appetizers before and we thought we'd finish it. We didn't. The servings were just right for a party of 4. The food was super flavorful and the meats weren't dry. Great selection of generous smoked meats and the BBQ classics.

This is my 2nd time going here and both experiences were exactly the same. The venue is such a vibe. Always decorated nicely and a great rotation of music from country, to pop, to hip hop. They also have a speakeasy on the bottom level. They also have a selfie machine by the hostess stand with a saddle you can take pictures on. A great place to grab a drink. Now the food...truly terrible. It's really a shame since everything else is good but if you are a foodie like me...you leave disappointed every time. I have tried probably 5 or 6 different menu items and each one was worst than the last. The best items are only ok. Nothing was good. If they could re-do their menu or get a new chef, this place would become a must-go immediately.

This spot was a good time! They have all the football games on and it's pretty loud so if you're looking for somewhere intimate and on the quiet side this is NOT it. Haha it's so fun and the service was great. The food was good and we didn't have to wait too long for it.

TLDR: great happy hour specials, amazing service, great food and immaculate vibes. Must stop by here for happy hour or to just grab something to eat. Will definitely be coming back Thursday happy hour until 9pm.... Where can you find that?? Taken care of by Samuel and Amanda- couldn't ask for any better service. Drinks were always flowing and they always checked in on us. Loaded Fries: actually loaded. Crispy, flavorful and hugeeee portion. Buffalo chicken dip: there's hugeeee chunks of chicken in that amazing dip. Pita instead of chips was an amazing business decision. Wings: I'm not going to see in THE wing guy but I've dabbled in a few wings in my life. Mango habanero, a slight kick not too much. EXTREMELY flavorful. BBQ: not too tangy, not too sweet. Perfectly in the middle and the wings themselves are cooked to perfection.

I had a great time dining here. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the standout for me was definitely the mac & cheese. I'd come back just for that. I also loved the fun detail of the little cowboy hats in the drinks. Such a cute and memorable touch! Just a heads-up: if you visit during March Madness the games are on at full volume. If that's your vibe, you'll love the energy, plus they have some great specials to go with it. If that's not your scene, you might want to stop by another time. When there's no game on, they play music instead.

Myself and 4 close friends dined at "Boots & Bones"on Saturday, November 15 for brunch. The Tex-Mex eatery at 116 Newark Avenue in Jersey City is a great place with superior food, decor and servers. We all loved the brunch selection and drinks were excellent. Special thanks to managers Kelly and Francis and server Miranda.

This place seriously lacks flavor and seasoning. I did the three amigos tacos, and all three meats tasted the exact same. When you order three different kinds of meats, they should be separated by flavor profile. I was warned this place wasn't good and shouldn't have tried it tonight. The bacon wrapped jalapeños - those are not supposed to be cooked in a way that your bacon is soggy either. They call that spicy mayo on top I believe, and it tasted like mayonnaise with a little bit of paprika in it. Definitely skip this place and find better food elsewhere.

Came here on a Wednesday night to celebrate my friend's birthday, she loves this place. They were able to seat our party of 8 with no problem. The place was lively because the Yankees were playing. There was a DJ spinning, and good ambience. Drink was tasty and I really enjoyed the brisket fries (that are shareable). Manager Chris was very accommodating.

Came here for a quick dinner on a Friday night with a friend. Seems like the place gets pretty packed quickly. We sat near the bar and ordered our food. This place is pretty casual spot but a very nice size venue. I ordered some ribs with fries and they were good. The menu is not extensive. We visited under the Boots afterward to chat and for a few drinks and had a blast. The DJ was on point playing a really good mix of music. We had a really good time.

The food was great. The waitress was great too. We had a party of 10 and everyone was happy with what they ordered.

First things first, Marian was our server and she was perfect. Started us off with chilled bottled water. We had Boneless wings, lemon pepper...plus nachos with cheese dip. Drinks were good cold. Cool Bar area and we had a nice little booth. Great time, will return. Hope to get Marion as our server.

Burrito had awesome flavor and the corn bread was not only huge but also very moist and great flavor as well. Portions were big but also a little pricey, which is to be expected in a city setting and for how "upscale" the place is! The reason I put it in quotes is because it's not necessarily a fine dining establishment but not a hole in the wall authentic Mexican place if you get what I mean. Decor is all very modern and authentic with great music playing and big TVs. Service was great, bartender and hostess were very nice and welcoming and food came out quick! The two meats were good, not great. The turkey breast was drier than I was hoping. I was disappointed by the chilaquiles because no where on the menu did it mention the chips were tossed in BBQ sauce instead of salsa. I would skip this dish next time. The sticky ribs were tasty. Still a fun spot to visit, especially in summertime when you can take advantage of the outdoor space and extensive cocktail list. The churro ice cream sandwich is exceptional - highly recommend.

It was a full afternoon of food and drinks, and the kind of event where a lot of moving pieces have to come together for it to actually work. JP was the reason it worked. What stood out most wasn't the drinks. It was the kids. There were a lot of them, running around, excited, in the middle of everything. JP knew every single one of them by name before the afternoon was half over. Not in a performative way. He just made a point to learn who they were and made them feel like they belonged there as much as anyone else. He was checking in on them, getting them what they needed, keeping them engaged. Parents noticed. Everyone noticed. Beyond the kids, he was everywhere. Anticipating what people needed before they asked. Moving fast without ever seeming rushed. Making sure nobody was waiting, nobody was forgotten, and everybody was having a good time. The food, the drinks, the whole flow of the afternoon, it all ran smoothly because JP was paying attention to all of it. My sister-in-law's celebration was exactly what it was supposed to be. A big part of that is JP. If you are booking an event here, request him specifically. You will not regret it.

Honestly, I don't know what piece of rubbery crap I'm eating here!…read more Honestly, I was trying to make new cool friends around me at this bar while watching the World Cup and I was kicked out in front of everybody by this big security guard with the strong beard in a very embarrassing way (RIGHT AFTER I JUST BOUGHT 20$ worth of this rubbery, plastic bread crap where I can't even chew the bread, I'm being very honest) just because I did bring a drink to the bar. Yes, it's my fault, yes I did. It was a mistake. Instead of kicking me out, they should have just asked me to throw it away or put it away in my bag instead of pushing me out so drastically, so inhumanely, so embarrassingly in front of people in the middle of enjoying a game. People literally get kicked out of the bar for brawling if they're causing fights. I wasn't doing any of that. My food just literally arrived on the table, when we were trying to have fun watching the world cup and for heaven's sake, I really did buy such an expensive amount of something from the bar! It's not like I wasn't buying anything! And the guard even peered over my husband's shoulder extremely closely while my husband was trying to pack away the food. Even the other bartender/waiter who just served me food wanted to steal away my ketchup sauce (this stingy, really??) just because we were being kicked out. My husband has a sickness, his movements are slow, so when the guard had to be so close to us to intimidate us (instead of giving us some space to pack) that really incensed me, so I said to him, "My husband has a sickness! WAIT A MINUTE AND BACK OFF!" This huge guard got his ego hurt, he trailed us to the streets, he wanted to fight but was too afraid to do anything when he saw many policemen just at the corner, and I don't know what got into me but I spouted and yelled at him, "Man, this is my ONLY time to have fun in America and you spoiled it!! GO FUCK YOURSELF!! AND DON"T FORGET TO FAP YOURSELF WHILE THINKING ABOUT ME!!" And I spouted more and drew a lot of attention. He looked really embarrassed, powerless and retreated back. He didn't know who he was messing with. And I can tell anybody who witnessed this including the cops were on my side. :) America has turned into a really mean state. People simply just can't have fun anymore or at least be treated justly and with some respect. Everybody is there to make money and rob you, then kick you out immediately without enjoying the time eating there. I could have put away the drink so easily, and on top of that, I did just bought some expensive something from there!! DON"T come to this inhumane bar (that's always completely empty anyway except for World Cup days).

I arrived & joined the line at 12:05pm on a Sunday (5 mins after opening) and waited until 1:10pm before ordering. The line is deceiving since more than half of it was inside but I didn't realize how far it extends to the register where you actually order. There was around 40 people waiting when I got there...again, 5 minutes after opening. Anyway, I committed to the line and realize it's wildly inefficient. There's only 1-2 people taking orders and 2-4 different workers standing around or doing something occasionally. They really have to figure out how to reduce these inefficiencies, at least on weekends. Now for the food, it's definitely amazing for NYC standards but not quite as good as Texas, in my opinion. The Brisket had some tender & juicy bites which I loved but most of it was on the dry/lean side. I wish the worker asked us for our preference. The Pastrami Sandwich was a good try and only available on weekends. The meat is smoky and savory, and tangy from the brown deli mustard. I actually loved their Mac & Cheese! It was so creamy, cheesy, and satisfying. Even the Hometown Slaw was just right. Not too creamy, not too vinegary, and gave us a fresh bite to cut through all the savory meat. The worker was nice enough to give me some pickled onions which I absolutely love with my BBQ. I wish they had some more local beer options but the Stiegl Goldbrau Lager Pint was great to sip on as someone who likes light & refreshing beers. Despite the atrocious wait time, I'm really glad I got to try it!
