    Bulgogi
    Jeff C.

First time here. Good stuff. Tried the bibimbap and the bulgogi. Should have ordered banchan but next time. There will be a next time for sure - this was enjoyable. I always feel bad posting shots of takeout but it is what it is. On a dreary rainy day I can't get the better half to eat out so takeout it is. Fusion is a good descriptor for the offerings - one thing that stood out was the kale. Never in my life did I imagine I'd be raving about kale :D but the tempura kale was really, really good. Crunchy and tasty. Didn't really like the parking situation - but that's a minor consideration for pickup.

Updating my review after giving this place another try--and it definitely redeemed itself! I think the last time was just a one-off with the dish being too salty. This time around, everything was much better. Thr mom box either bulgogi is my go to. My favorite part is still the tempura kale--it's so good--and I always love getting a side of the tempura and a side of their pickles. Definitely a great lunch spot if you're in the area. That said, it's still a bit on the pricey side, but the quality makes it feel more worth it now.

I think people are way too kind to this place. And I can see why they want to be. Simple bop box food is trendy and hipster-friendly. But this particular food is not made with love. It's crude. It's over spiced. It's over cooked. It's over heated. And it's overpriced. I wonder if it's not made by an angry chef. I'm sorry but it just doesn't hit the mark. It also doesn't look good in the bowl. I was very disappointed.

What yummy food! We went to BopBox because we had an event nearby in Georgetown, but also because of its stellar Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed! The place is tiny! There were 5 of us, and we were lucky enough to get one of the two large tables in the establishment. There's some additional seating along the window, but that's about it. The person at the counter indicated that the place isn't really a sit-down place; most people order to-go. And he was right about the latter; there was a steady stream of Uber Eats and Grub Hub drivers coming through the place while we were there. My girlfriend ordered the stir-fried Yakisoba Soy Braised Tofu (vegetarian for her!), and I ordered the Eemo's Kimchi Fried Rice with Spicy Tofu, with a request to be made extra spicy. I love spicy food, and the Fried Rice, with yummy kimchi in it, did not let me down! My girlfriend loved her dish. Two others of us ordered exactly the same dishes (although less spicy). I noticed that they had the Yona Yona Ale from Yoho Brewing in Japan. It used to be that you couldn't find this beer in the US. It was tasty complement to our dishes that three of us ordered. We wanted Kimchi for the table, but they were out that day. I was seriously bummed. Note: you'll use their in-store kiosk to place your order if you're eating in. Be sure to select your utensils when placing your order or you won't be able to pay. That was not obvious to any of us.

Went for lunch on a weekend afternoon. Food was great and they have a decent amount of variety with proteins and sauce options. The tempura kale was something my I'd never tried before but was very fun. The potions are huge! I'd recommend sharing unless you're famished. Super fast service and the employee was very nice. Cute vibes in a cute area. I don't think I'll trek down to south seattle just for this spot, but if you're in the area it's worth a try.

Quick, friendly service. Very chill atmosphere and yummy eggs! There's wonderful window seating for street watching :)

    Delicious - banchan sampler

Loved the banchan sampler ... I think that's what I ordered.... Couldn't decide what to get - everything looked so good, and then I found this banchan sampler thing and I got it ALL. So good. My bf got some rice with pork. He said there was only a couple pieces of meat. For the price, it seemed a bit like a rip off for him, so minus a star. But I loved mine!

    Mom's Medley with Chicken

I found this place on Yelp. I checked out the pictures, and the food looked absolutely amazing. I stopped by for a late lunch. I ordered on a tablet at the front. There is also staff towards the back that take food orders. It took me a few minutes to decide because everything looked and sounded really good. There are a few tables to dine inside and a few tables to dine outside. It seems more like a place to grab and go. The food was ready in fifteen minutes. I decided to try the Mom's Medley with chicken and a Bulgogi Ribeye Bowl. Both items were delicious. I really liked the variety and how colorful the medley bowl was. The chicken was also cooked and seasoned well. The bulgogi was tender and flavorful. If you are in the area, this is definitely a good place to check out.

ugh we forgot to take pictures of our food! the jammy eggs were perfection and the side order of purple rice was MASSIVE. the soy glazed wings and japchae were great as well. price point is a bit high but well worth it since there's not many good korean restaurants in the neighborhood.

spicy pork (with few veggie options taken out). the kale tempura was amazing!
    Suz C.

This was one of the closest Korean food we could find near West Seattle with good amount of veggies. The staff in front were great and kind. We couldn't stop raving about how good it was all day, and recommended it to our friends who are locals to try it out! The tempura kale really changed the bibimbap experience.

    Banchan Bento with salmon

Had been wanting to try this place for a while and wish I hadn't waited so long! I had the banchan bento with salmon and it was the best variety of flavors and then salmon was cooked perfectly!

Swung by for a quick lunch and we got some very nourishing, colorful and veggie-heavy dishes to try. It's Korean fusion with a lot of emphasis on freshness and variety, and everything was tasty. Especially enjoyed their spicy pork belly and crispy kale chips. Staff were very friendly and it's a cute, quiet little nook in Georgetown. Would stop by again if I was in the neighborhood :)

I had expectations to tell you the truth, but I was let down a bit. Although, I was convinced to try out the mozzarella sticks and that was a fantastic starter. Highly recommend it. They were huge and thick with the good white stuff stretching out of it when you pull on it after your first bite. Best mozzarella stick I've ever had. As for the chicken and waffles, that's another story. Now, this isn't your normal chicken and waffles here. It's a spicy chicken and waffle sandwich. Someone was trying to be clever with this one and granted, on paper it sounds like a good idea. Execution was pretty poor however. The spice on that chicken was overpowering. There was a lack of syrup when there should've been more. And the goat cheese made it worse. Honestly, if it were just a regular fried chicken that was not spicy and had a good amount of syrup with no goat cheese in the sandwich, it would've satisfied my craving hands down. It wasn't that unfortunately. Should just keep it simple with that one. I would've been happy with that. The stroganoff was solid though. Did not expect that to be so good coming out of a bar. Way better than what Olive Garden could ever dish out. So maybe that says a lot for some folks. I'd come here for the stroganoff and the mozzarella sticks. As for the place itself, it definitely has a saloon vibe to it. Place looked pretty slow when I was there, but there was a good amount of people finishing up their meals, so I probably just missed the breakfast rush. Bartender/server was quite friendly and there were no problems, so that's always good.

They said they didn't make a reservation, but asked us to help them. Both of us were in the industry before so we know how it feels but we travelled long and far to Seattle so this was a bucket list item. They moved us to another window seat but all we could see were the rear of two military jeeps. Our server then took 15 minutes to ask us if we wanted coffee, another 10 to bring it to us, and then didn't provide spoons to stir in our sugar/milk. It was not busy. They also took 15 minutes to go back and forth with the chef in regards to my girlfriends allergy, and then came back saying they are too busy to accommodate. All they would have needed to do was take a clean frying pan out. There were 4 people in the kitchen, and about 15-20 customers in the restaurant, 10 of which were already served. The restaurant is very clean, was greeted by two servers working, friendly atmosphere, noise level was average and it's a smaller establishment, please keep that in mind. We ordered the french fries which are shoestring fries, side of catfish, a side of red beans and rice, and a side plate of fried green tomatoes, which comes with four bite-size pieces. Being from the south born and raised, I'm a particular about my catfish and even though the breading had flavor, the catfish to me did not taste very clean plus there was a hair stuck to the breading of the catfish. It wasn't a small hair. The mystery hair either fell in the oil or it was in the batter is my guess. Because when I went to break the catfish apart, that is when it sprung the rest of it out, there was a small curl tip sticking out of the top of the fish. Unfortunately, the green tomatoes had absolutely no flavor. I will say the red beans and rice had the most flavor. I could taste the seasoning and the spice with a little bit of heat. I also really appreciate that there was some veggies mixed in with some meat as well. The shoestring fries it's either a hit for some or a miss and for me it was a miss, but I've had lots of different kinds of shoestring fries from multiple locations, and different states. It's a hard one to make. They were fried crispy and excellent. I would say it's more of the seasoning that was a dislike. The decor throughout the restaurant was beautiful to view. There are photos of the owners their family and friends. Not only could I see the love and commitment put into this restaurant, but also I could feel it as soon as I walked in. My takeaway is for the cooks to wear hairnets and if they have beards, to also put nets on their beards to further prevent hairs falling into people's food. Fried green tomatoes are not an item that can be found at most restaurants. It's easy to make but definitely the seasoning on it could be improved. Also, possibly just going simple with the seasoning like salt and a little pepper on the shoestring fries, sometimes keeping it simple is the best. A topic I want to touch on, not because I got it, but because going through the reviews prior to coming not too many people were discussing the waffles and this was a direct witness of what I could see. I did not taste it so I can't describe how the waffles tasted, but they look like they were cooked golden brown, which was nice but they are I would say more on the thinner side than what I usually see at places that serve chicken and waffles. If you are reading this review and you are looking for a place that serves you a nice thick waffle please do not come here because you will be disappointed, and I do not want people being disappointed when they are looking for something in particular and they end up ordering something that they did not want. Besides my recommendations, as I mentioned, this is a place that is full of love and commitment and I appreciate the community that has supported this establishment. It is not easy keeping a restaurant open and it's even harder these days being a person of color to even have your own establishment. As always, my friends be safe out there. Thank you for reading this review and I'll see you at my next bite *=*
