Boro Kabob is a great place for delicious Mediterranean cuisine. I've been there in the past to get kabob dinners to go. It's a little hole jn the wall that could be overlooked with it between an Indian restaurant, a Papa Johns and a Korean restaurant. I decided to stop in and order a beef shawarma tonight. The guy behind the counter was so polite and friendly. The restaurant has limited seating but no one was there so I opted to stay and enjoy my meal there. The shawarma was SO flavorful!! It came with the white sauce drizzled on top but I got some (not spicy ) red sauce on the side and it complemented the meat just right. I'm not sure if the guy behind the counter was the owner or manager, but brought my order to me and then checked on me after I started early to see if enjoyed it. I was in heaven. The meat was tender and flavorful and the sandwich overall was juicy. Another man came to check to see if I was enjoying my neal. I appreciated their attentiveness. I was in heaven. I got the shawarma with regular fries, which were hot and thick cut. It was nice to eat hot, crispy fries. The desserts are excellent too. I'm a big fan of baklava and they had walnut and pistachio varieties. The walnut baklava was cut into 4 little pieces and they were perfect to share. I also took home the espresso creme brulee. That was also a big hit. If you want some delicious Mediterranean food, try Boto Kabob. Great people and tasty dishes! read more

Great place for lunch or dinner. They have a large variety of dishes ranging from schwarma to hummus and more. You order at the counter and then someone brings you the food at a table if you chose to eat in. I happen to pass by Snowden River Parkway in Columbia and saw Boro kabob and decided to give it a try. There is a location in Ellicott City and they're not open yet. Spoke to the people at the Snowden Pkwy location and informed me that they're waiting for the permits from Howard County in order to open up. The food was very good. I ordered a falafel wrap and it tasted great. Well prepared. The place is small and has adequate lighting. The new location in Ellicott City is much larger from what I was told. Delicious. What a great addition to the area. My coworker and I both got koobideh sandwiches. Since it was our first time, they threw in a free mezah spread sampler consisting of hummus, baba ghanoush and eggplant dip. No flaws here, everything was outstanding. I especially liked the baba ghanoush. The house seasoning on the koobideh sandwich was really good too. The server/hostess/cashier person was also really nice as she walked us through the menu. This is the best kabob restaurant in Howard County if you ask me, the beef kabobs are perfectly seasoned, with super juicy tender meat. The chicken kabob is very tender and has a great taste.The rice is very aromatic and delicious. There are a few different sauces to choice from, I tried most of them and the truffle parmesan is my favorite followed by the sumac sauce. The eggplant dip is amazing. The staff is so friendly, great customer service, not to mention the place is spotlessly clean. This is definitely a place to add to your weekly take out rotation. read more

Hidden in the corner of a small shopping center in Columbia. You order at the counter (or online) and there are a few small tables to sit at. There was one person working the counter so she was bouncing back and forth (also took the orders out to the tables). I ordered the chicken kabob with half rice and half salad and my partner ordered Combo # 1 (comes with slides beef and ground beef kabobs). The order came out piping hot, served with pita bread. They separated out the salad into it's own container which I appreciated and it was packed. The dressing was some sort of creamy vinaigrette and the salad had mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, olives and feta cheese. There was a LOT of rice too... I would be scared to see what a full rice platter would look like! All of the meats were marinated well and grilled to perfection. The basmati rice was also tasty. The grilled tomatoes that came on the side were the only thing that I didn't like. I typically like tomatoes, but these were so charred that all I could taste was bitterness. A coworker introduced me to Boro and I have been hooked ever since. The chicken shawarma plate is my favorite. I love the pickles that come in the salad and the rice has a great flavor. I ordered on door dash and couldn't include the extra garlic sauce that I usually like to get so I called the restaurant and the manager Sanat was amazing. She included my extra sauce and some other things. The customer service went above and beyond and I appreciate that very much. We have ordered takeout a few times here in the last several months. The food is good! I've stuck with sandwiches and fries (great for lunch) but want to try some of the entrees at some point too. I've enjoyed the gyro and the sumac feta fries especially. One thing to note, if you order online they give you a time when it will be ready, but it is ready MUCH faster. This has been kind of a negative since I want my food hot and have gotten a text that it was ready before even leaving my house, and 20 minutes sooner than the app told me it would be. So excited to have Persian food especially when it's this good! Let me start by saying I loath eggplant but my boyfriend loves it so I'm used to him saying "but this is really good, you gotta try it" and when I do, I still hate it. That all changed tonight with the magical Kashk Bademjan. If the bread wasn't so good, I would have been eating it with a spoon. The owner could not have been nicer. We were the only people there late on a Saturday night and he kept coming over to see if we liked everything and bringing us new things to try. The pickled veg and marinated olives aren't something I would have ordered myself but now that I've tried them, I will get them every time. Finally! Persian food without driving to Rockville, Baltimore, or DC. They deliver through doordash and possibly other apps. Everything is packaged thoughtfully. The meat is tender, and the rice is also tender. I'm not sure if thick pita is an option I'm accidentally receiving, or if they have it here because they also do Greek dishes, like gyros. I'm missing the thinner bread from other Persian places, and wondering if maybe they have that in the restaurant. The service for delivery is good in that they package everything well and prepare it quickly. I am unable to comment on ambiance since I've never been in-person. We ordered a few sandwiches and some fries from Boro as I saw it pop up in my new restaurant options and have been lamenting a lack of good kabab/sandwich places in the area. We have since gone twice and both times the food was delicious. Don't forget to order extra garlic sauce and green sauce as they are both incredibly delicious. I would love to try more of the stuff in the menu as we've only had sandwiches at this point but the gyro and kebab sandwiches are so good it's hard to resist. Boro Kanob is located in a little shopping center on Snowden River Parkway. It's a small place but they seem to be bustling, with constant take out customers. Having lived in Westwood CA for a few years, I've eaten lots of Persian food in some of the best places around. I can tell you, Boro Kabob rivals anything those fancy Westwood restaurants have to offer. Their menu is extensive and they had so many items to choose from that we had a really hard time picking. The staff (Raymond and Raha) were really helpful and Raymond made some recommendations to us, which we ordered. We could not have been happier with our meals. Raha stopped by several times to see how our meal was and if we needed anything. The prices are good for the amount of food that you get. I wanted to try the saffron ice cream since I haven't had it in years. I was not disappointed. It was a tasty blend of saffron and rose water topped with pistachio. So good. The proteins are all well-marinated in flavorful seasonings; we tried the spicy shrimp, lamb (both cubed for kebab and shaved for shawarma), and beef. They even cook the meats to desired temp, which was unexpected. The grilled veggies, rice, bread, and salads are not afterthoughts to their platters and are clearly also prepared with care. Highly recommend. I got the Lamb gyro shawarma sandwich and the pita chips with labneh. When I came to pick up the order, they informed me they were out of the labneh but provide three other dips to try, babaganoush, hummus and one other. They were all delicious. I didn't get mine spicy but the sandwich came with a tzatziki style sauce. The sandwich by itself was delicious and fresh. The pita chips were lightly fried so you get this mixture of crispy and soft. Really good. I got mine to go but when picking up the guy behind the counter was very courteous, the restaurant was clean and bright, and surprisingly empty!
