    Calamari

Food was great and service was friendly -server Lori was very nice and answered all questions! Over all was pretty quiet on a Wednesday night - so nice atmosphere - not to noisy or crazy. Calamari appetizer was excellent! French onion soup was 7 out of 10 - little bland but little salt and pepper did the trick. Ribeye was well seasoned but slightly under cooked at medium rare - which was ok for me, but little longer on the grill and would have been perfect. Overall good place - would visit again for sure!

    My dinner add the shrimp.

Great friendly place, I ate at the bar and felt very welcomed by the bar tender. Had a nice steak very economical. If I lived in Milwaukee I would be a regular.

We had to give the new owners a try so we ordered off the $10.00 carryout only menu. Should have known it would be great since everything we get from Vino Cappuccino has been delicious! Gyro was excellent without being overly salty had great steak fries on both orders. The Greek Pork Chop was tender and very tasty with enough sauce to give the flavor boost! Do yourself a favor and give this a try! We'll be back for sure!

Had craving for a good rib sandwich so thought I would try this joint Portion huge and tender no knife needed and that's how I like it Steak fries nothing special Mozzarella sticks for an appetizer but similar to those at a local Tosa eatery. Tasty marinara came with it Also had the boneless chicken wings, these I liked. Good flavor, coating thick and crispy Had Pepsi products but w a bar in house they should house Coke products. My biggest complaint, it's winter and I know this is wisconsin but come on Pump some heat in the women's restroom !!!

Lots of stuffed animals around the restaurant. It my be off putting for some guests but it really is not a big distraction.

Third time here but first Yelp review. This review will be my 100th Yelp review so I decided to splurge on the Friday's prime rib special for lunch. This place get busy during the lunch rush and the wait staff was hustling for the hour and so that we were there, but by 1:15 the restaurant was relatively calm. Due to the lunch rush our orders took a little longer than usual and so on, but it is understandable. Our food was really good and came out hot, worth the wait. Today my lunch crew ordered two prime rib specials and one ordered the Mediterranean chicken wrap with roasted red pepper clam chowder as his side. Roasted red pepper calm chowder may seem odd, but I am surprised he didn't lick the rest out of the bowl, he loves BJs and goes here often during his lunch hour. His wrap was also really well received, nothing left to take with him. My other compadre also splurged and ordered the prime rib special with steak fries and a side salad as a side. He loves fries, but he was laser focused on his medium rare prim rib. All I can say is that he demolished his prime rib and left most of his fries, that says a lot. I also ordered the prime rib, side salad but haystack onion rings as a side. The haystack onion rings were alright, but my friend's steak fries looked darn tasty. My prime rib was done to a perfect medium rare with plenty of au jus underneath it, also I had blue cheese crumbles placed on top, such a good combo. This was probably my personal top 15 prime rib places in the last 5 years. The prime rib could have been seasoned and crusted on the outside to add another level of flavor but it was delicious none the less. I will be back for a prime rib lunch within the next few months as it is hard to find a place around here that serves prime rib outside of Saturday nights.

Fried foods are fried with the scale fish - for me that's a big allergic reaction waiting to happen - not a good place for me.

I almost hate to give this review because if people find out how good it is it will be too crowded next time I'm in town.

Fish Fry was not good at all. The dumpling soup was okay. Service was the only reason I gave it two stars.

When you walk in you enter near their large bar and behind that is their dining room- very cozy space. Despite being busy it wasn't loud so you could easily carry on a conversation at your table which was great! We ordered the rumaki to split (super crispy and delicious!) then I ordered the filet and truffle fries (both excellent!). We had old fashioneds to drink and ordered a grasshopper for dessert (yum!) Some lady answered and kept calling me hun saying I'll put you down hun. She said it was no problem because it was for a special occasion. Fast forward to last night me and my 7 guests show up for dinner and the general manager tells me "we don't take reservations". I told him some lady said she would take my reservation but because I didn't have a name he couldn't believe what I was saying to be true. He said I will try to get you a table in the next half hour while other guests have to wait 1-2 hours making me feel like I was inconveniencing him. An hour later we finally got seated. Mind you the whole first hour standing in a cramped- way too full bar - is not fun. So we were given 2 free apps for the "misunderstanding". Our waitress forgot my friends wine - not the biggest deal. Everyone but me ordered a prime rib and they were all mostly fat. I was willing to overlook the whole reservation thing if the food was worth the wait, but it was not. The best thing I ate was truffle fries. If you want to book a dinner for a special occasion don't waste your time here.

The two servers assigned to our table of 8 were friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and quick. Then there's the food, which was absolutely amazing. My husband ordered three appetizers as his meal, and thoroughly enjoyed them all. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was very rich and flavorful with a nice crunch on top, although the lobster pieces were on the smaller side and not overwhelming in number. The Wagyu Meatballs were not as tender or juicy as expected, but were delicious. The nicely sized dollop of ricotta on top was a nice touch. I had the Califlower Steak, which was a first for me. It. Was. Fantastic! The califlower was cut thick and roasted to perfection, creating a wonderfully firm yet tender texture. The accompanying flavors and textures made this dish smell and taste amazing. This is a beautiful option for those who prefer a meatless option or are looking to try something new.

The ambiance and service was great - Yasbel was nice and attentive. Plenty of parking at this location and easy to get to. I did see another table got the sliders and that seems like it would at least be more filling with their brioche buns. The steak bites had a good sear and flavor but the steak sauce tasted like a sweet BBQ and not in a good way - very vanilla-y. The petite salad was maybe 2 or 3 bites - very petite indeed. The shrimp cocktail was worse - the shrimp was tough and the cocktail sauce had no seasoning. It was basically just ketchup. The price for these two items and a glass of house wine came out to $40. I'm happy I tried it out but now I know I'm not interested in the happy hour going forward.

I searched on Yelp and came across Parkside 23. It sounded perfect. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was very crowded. I called in to the restaurant to make sure they'd have room for us, and was told that yes, they had just had a cancellation for a table for two, so come on in. We did, and we were seated almost immediately. From the minute we walked in the restaurant, everything was perfect. Hostess Heidi was lovely, our server Sara was amazing, and the food was incredible. My friend had the meatloaf, and crème brûlée for dessert. She said both were great. She's not a drinker, but did have a couple Shirley Temples, which were perfect. I have the pretzel crusted veal with spaetzel. I asked for them to hold the asparagus, which is usually cut up in the spaetzel along with mushrooms and onions, and they did it perfectly. The veal was especially amazing, and the spaetzel was very good, too. I tried the Mr Manhattan, and had another one as my dessert. I'm always delighted when my usual craft cocktail is one of their classics on the menu. It was well-made, if a bit small for the price point. We've already decided that this will be our go-to place for lunch whenever I travel up from Chicago to visit my friend. I'm also making plans to bring my husband up there sometime, because I think he will love it, too. A great find!
