    Captivated by the ambiance

Very Special place! A small outdoor corner mall-ish with lots of other eateries, yet Boulder Pho had a particular inviting ambiance; brightly lit, full walled glass entrance - it beckons - I walked in for some take out. Lovely place, service was prompt and unassuming -"take your time!" "You have a massive menu, another smile met my eyes, "take your time!" Glancing around the restaurant was a delight, one I will revisit. Taking my Pho to my car in amazement how much food I was carrying for one order! Did not expect the extra meat, and my Service dog enjoy every morsel of the unexpected. Then the BROTH!! WOW.. full body, delicious and soothing. Tossing the mung bean sprouts into the broth, some herbs from the huge bowl of veggies galore, this was three meals, plus the extra meat which was unexpected; my dog was in heaven. There are many places to eat on this corner lot, very inviting, yet it was the Boulder Pho and its lighting, clear glass and amenable presentation beckoned; we will revisit and highly recommend anyone taking a short walk inside with delight!

Stopped here for lunch with a group of 7 people. We were seated right away. Our server was excellent. Took our drink and food orders asap and the food came out quick! We ordered a large variety of items from the menu and everyone enjoyed their meals. Great pho spot!

Came from SoCal and it was at the point in the trip where it's Viet food or it's over. We found this pho place and it looked pretty trustworthy compared to other places I found. I got the Small Rare Steak and Tripe Pho. The portions were perfect and enough to get me full. The meat was tender and the trip wasn't crazily chewy. I wish there was more trip in it though! The broth was a bit light in flavor and a bit oily, but not something that ruins the taste of the meal. I'd definitely vouch for this place if anyone was craving pho and didn't know which one was tasty.

Every year we come to Boulder and we always eat here at least once. Everything on the menu is excellent. Food is fresh and freshly made to order. Once you eat this Pho it's hard to eat pho anywhere else! Pork dumplings and the Vietnamese wings were excellent.

Vermicelli bowl is 10/10. Everything is right in the bowl from vermicelli to pork, beef and spring rolls (especially their spring rolls, you should other extra for your bowl). Their fish sauce is perfectly made. Pho is good but it didn't blow me away. The meat is good, but the broth and noodles are standard. It's enough to satisfy your craving though. This high quality is rare even in big Vietnamese hub such as Orange County, CA or Houston, TX. Boulder doesn't have that many Asian restaurants to begin with, I didn't expect the food to be this good here.

We were looking for good pho and we found great pho! Had the shrimp spring rolls and BBQ Pork Pho... as many other reviewers have said their bowls are large. Definitely coming back here!

Their Vietnamese spring rolls with the peanut sauce is a def to order when you go there. It's exactly the way it's made and what I like it the lightness of this appetizer. The light spring roll with the flavor bomb peanut sauce just goes so well together. They should sell that peanut sauce lol ;) I got the combination pho which is Steak, brisket, tendon, tripe and meatball. You have to order a medium or large bowl if you choose this and my husband got the Steak and Brisket. I'll be honest the tendon felt pretty uncooked and hard and stiff so I took it out. I think the best option is the rare (p.s the meat is so thin that it cooks in the hot water) Steak and Brisket. Overall good experience

Forgot to take a photo of my large pho but it's super large and will definitely fill you up! The prices are decent and fair but their vegetable pho was not that great and I've had better pho in the past. Also their service here is super slow and the waiter was not good at checkin on u and we only saw them one and never again. Their boba is good and fair price for he size, would come back for the boba but not the pho.

When we looked at the menu, we were very taken back by how expensive a regular bowl of pho was ($16-18 for a regular size). Not to mention, this was the first time we experienced a Pho restaurant not having any hanh dam so we were surprised. For context, my friends and I are used to the Vietnamese food scene in Houston so we're aware that we're pretty spoiled. This is the following list of items that were ordered: - Pho Dac Biet The soup game was unfortunately weak. It tasted pretty watered down and lacked flavor. Meat and noodles were fine though! - Goi Cuon (Shrimp and Pork) The Goi Cuon itself was decent but the sauce was... interesting. It was almost too sweet, my friend even mentioned that it had a slight hint of coconut which I was able to taste as well. I'm not sure if people in Boulder do Vietnamese food differently but the sauce was personally not for me. - Passion Fruit Green Tea w/Boba This was just okay. The boba and passion fruit seed was good. We were also able to taste the tea but it had an interesting aftertaste to it. I do appreciate the staff members and their hard work! Not to mention, most restaurants close so early in Colorado but this one is open until 11 PM on weekends!

The difficulties with are in my previous reviews. Now much of the facility has been torn down and the ongoing construction of the space to be city staff offices and the bigger space to be affordable housing had become impractical to use or eat at the restaurant. The noise was deafening. In January they moved to a food court on the Hill. This is a lower level of a building with other tenants. There are about 6 food kitchens and each time I have been here this summer and fall, this is the busiest at lunch. Since the seating is communal there is always space and it is clean. The staff here have been really nice. If I'm preparing a meal at home or supplementing leftovers, I have stopped by to get a fave vegetable, baby bok choy, steamed and seasoned and at an affordable side dish price. Today my husband and I walked down for lunch and ordered the Tuesday special street crepes some of the owners have continued from the long gone first owners from Beijing. As with other succeeding owners, they too have continued to use lettuce rather than the bok choy in the crepe. It also has some ham, scallions and crispy wonton bits and a nice spread of hoisin. It is topped with a sprinkle of black sesame seeds that I love. Another difference from the original is that the ingredients of the crepe itself are not well mixed together so many large patches of separate egg white and yolk makes it harder to hold together and not as pretty. But it tastes just fine but original years ago was addicting. I will continue to come here try more of the food from the current owner. I love beef noodles and have 2 other places I can get a good version but this is the most walkable for me. They do very nice prep for takeout which is good too. At lunch it is busy with CU affiliated students, staff and faculty alike. Every item I have had at Flower Pepper is hand made and prepared for the customer.
