Food was ok but my co-worker found a piece of hair in her food. Totally lost our appetite after that.

Boulevard burger has a pretty cool diner that has a biker-nostalgia kinda feel. They've got a bunch of old-style decor in the diner like old Route 66 signs and James Dean pictures and so forth. Their burgers are pretty decent too. Not necessarily gourmet, but better than mcDonalds for sure. Plus they've got pastrami on their menu, which I love. They've got other things too such as Mexican food stables and breakfast food as well. Not so much dessert items though I ordered the colossal burger which is a cheese burger along with a big heap of pastrami. It was definitely huge, and you know it's gonna be great when the pastrami is bursting from the burger. No complaints here at all, id definitely order is again if I'm craving the pastrami-burger combo. We also ordered their chili cheese fries, which was average. The cheese wasn't even melted on the fries when we got it, which was disappointing. It kinda made me wish I just got regular fries instead. They also charge extra on raspberry ice tea for drinks. My boyfriend ordered a Mountain Dew, but it came out super watered down so he asked for the ice tea, to which they said they charged extra... we found that kinda odd so we just waited until they changed the drinking fountain. read more

Been here a few times and the prices are a bit high for what they offer. The burgers have no flavor and the service sucks! It's always hot I. There and there are flies everywhere. I have different reviews, i can love it or hate it kinda relationship..... I love the hamburger special but the fries ugh !!!! This place is all gimmick to attract the kids and it seems to work. The interior decoration is meant to resemble a 50s diner or something from the route 66 heydays.. I actually like the decoration and the theme, however, it is a bit unkempt. It is too bad too, because it could be a cool place in the southeast area. I ordered the chili burger with cheese extra. It didn't taste bad, but actually it didn't taste much at all. Southern California is a haven for burger joints with fresh ingredient burgers all the way up to amazing gourmet burgers, from $4 up to $20 burgers. The burger I ate was not up to SoCal standards. Kind of a crusty place really. there are better burgers a couple of blocks away. I wish the burger would have been good. Mexican food continues to be the safest bet in this area, hell we even have better Mediterranean food locally, thanks to the density of Lebanese living in the area. This burger joint is visually very busy. Lots to look at on the walls on the tables... hanging from the ceiling! A lot of different types of memorabilia from music to sports inspired. This place has awesome burgers and fries. The owner is the best..very personable and talks to all the customers. Memorabilia all over the walls, tables have personal pictures of the family. Worst service ever Ramón who I think is the manager was very rude everything we asked for was a bother to him. We asked for entry to the bathroom someone was already in there so we waited. We didn't get to catch the door before it closed and he tried to make us feel at fault saying "why didn't We catch it" when trying to explain why he just cut my boyfriend off and opened the door and left. When getting our food it was coming out in parts and when my mom went up to get what was ready from her order she was about say what was missing but before she could even say what was missing the lady that was there a cut her off and said "It's coming out" my mom didn't hear her very well and was going to repeat what she was missing and as soon as she said "I'm missing" the lady cut her off again and said "it's coming out" just very rude.Then when asking for sauces the lady was gonna give us a small handful (we were a party of 18)as soon as the man who seemed like the manager saw her with the handful he stopped her and said no just give them 3 overall the food was not very good and the service sucked.Do not eat here. read more

Pros: They offer yellow peppers, and their burgers have Thousand Island dressing. It also looks very nice, plus they have a 99 cent (1/4 pound burger). Their chili cheese fries and curly chili cheese fries are good (pretty greasy :)). Cons: The close proximity to Bell High School makes it extremely busy in the afternoon. The food is great! Always grab a dollar burger with some chili cheese fries; best combination. I graduated from Bell High School, and through all my high school years this was the place to eat at! There is always usually a table to sit and dine-in, except after any Bell High School event. Concerning the staff, there is a lot of new people that aren't so friendly as the previous people used to be. They're pretty rude sometimes and don't even show any positive emotions. I guess it at starts at the managerial level because I can't really catch the manager in a good mood, but overall they aren't as bad as some people make them look. Though, the people in charge should really encourage more costumer service. I still encourage people to come eat here. read more

so I came to Boulevards 2 days ago and it really changed my mind about this place. The food is still good but they really need to work on their customer service. When I walked up to the counter, the guy said "hi. How can I help you" and as I was giving him my order, he was watching the soccer game on one of their many TVs.I kind of thought that was rude but I let it pass. After having to REPEAT my order three times because he kept looking at the screen, I finally paid and waited for my change. As he was giving me my change, he said Thank you then started yelling for one of their customers sitting at a booth because of the game(I'm assuming they were for different teams). If you're in town, you should definitely try this place out. The decor in the restaurant is amazing. It's a mix of 50's theme with a rock and roll feel to it... Awesome. The food is delicious. I've came before when the burgers were $1. That was freakin' awesome. They are like $1.50 now but it's still a great deal. It's right next door to Bell high school and Jacks car wash. I am around those two pretty often. I have not gotten anything else besides burgers. They could be cooked a bit more and have a bit more seasoning but it's not a bad burger spot. I do like their decorations. All old school hot rods, bikes, and actors that are known. It is not a bad place and I know it is definitely a place for the high schoolers to go to after school and when there are any events at the school.
