    Beef Bulgogi Pizza

After ice skating, came here for dinner. I was really interested in trying their Korean fusion pizza! They took over Pizza Rock. I ordered their beef bulgogi pizza and my date ordered BPM burger. Pizza was really interesting but felt more Americanized than Korean. I took a bite of my date's fries and it was really good. Service was super quick and attentive.

Recently came here for lunch, and the staff were so friendly and killing it during the lunch rush. The food on the other hand, kine of mid. Mozzarella sticks were decent and huge. The burger was a little on the salty side, and dear god please do not get the banana spring rolls dessert thing. It tastes like a cinnamon stick or a spice bag you use to season pho. The vibe is always going to be there downtown. I just wish they had drink menus with prices though, and maybe a happy hour incentive. It'll draw a crowd to a bustling area.

This spot recently opened in the DOCO area and I finally went with my coworkers as it's walkable from our offices. I was told to order their kids pizza because of the price, so I gave it a chance! I was very impressed; $9 for a good sized pizza was a steal! The food was slow coming out, but being new, it was understandable and they were very sweet, apologizing that it was taking longer for our food than it should've, and offered us a discount to come back. The decor inside is very cool as well; I would return and try their other pizzas.

The owners were awesome and apologetic although they messed up our order twice ;). I've never had tofu on pizza and I probably won't ever find it again, but I'm glad I tried it! It was unique for sure and definitely a memorable experience.

Came here for lunch when I read about it on SacBee. I didn't know this was on the K street corridor until I looked it up. We ordered 2 personal pizza lunch specials and 1 BPM burger lunch special. The pizzas were good. Perfect size for a single sitting. The burger was huge with plenty of shoestring fries. The restaurant was fairly large with a bar on the right side. Plenty of tables. The service was okay. I wouldn't mind making this a regular lunch spot to support the local business.

Walking into the restaurant we were welcomed by a wall of flies. The server was nice but not attentive. Food was good but not great.

I have not heard much about this spot but stumbled upon it when looking up Hot & New Restaurants in town. They describe themselves as a Korean-Italian fusion restaurant. They opened up on K Street which has seen a lot of places close down recently so I really hope they'll increase their marketing and can survive the tough times! I called ahead to order for pickup and our order was ready within 15 minutes. Since it's on the main stretch of K Street, just plan ahead for parking purposes or just pull over and put your emergency blinkers on! The bulgogi pizza was a must, but I will definitely be back to try the japchae pizza! Upon opening up the box, I wasn't sure how good it would be because the crust seemed a little light. But the pizza was actually so delicious! I do wish it had more meat but the bites that did have bulgogi were bursts of flavor. I also liked that they paired it with a white sauce. This is about a 12" pizza so it could be shared by two people or just perfect for one hungry person. I think it was quite pricey for that size but otherwise I guess I can't think of another place around that I could get a bulgogi pizza... We also ordered garlic fries which I think were also overpriced at $9.95 but they were very flavorful. We also got charged for ranch which I didn't realize was an extra charge when I ordered on the phone until they rang us up. I don't mind paying for it but would just be nice if they were transparent about it rather than sneaky! Overall really enjoyed the pizza but hoping they'll reconsider their pricing during this soft opening period!

Came here after some fun at Coin Op. Place was completely empty, so we were a bit skeptical.. But it was late, and we were hungry. It was super clean inside, and the pizza oven was ready to be used! Haha! So we gave it a shot. Glad we did! My first thought upon seeing the pizza when it came to our table, was just ehh. Apparently I'm just used to commercialized pizza. AS SOON as I took my first bite, my immediate thought was "This is real pizza!" It was soooo good! Very fresh. Perfect amount of crispiness. BEST margarita pizza I've ever had. The meatballs taste as good as they look! Omg!! Can't wait to go back here. The staff was cool too. A few of our friends joined us, and we all had the place to ourselves while server and bartender vibed with us. It was a great night!

Visited BMP yesterday for a work event. I tried the wings which were not good at all. They were baked and the flavor was just not right. We also tried the pear pizza and omg it was amazing! The drinks were ok but just not happy with the taste of the wings. I would only go back for that pizza. The service was good and the decor was nice.

Have been back a few times to try out the wide menu variety. Definitely NOT a fan of the BPM burger, (specifically the BPM sauce) @ $16.00 Service was also a bit slow while they only seemed to have one server and bartender and no hostess to greet or seat we ended up having to go to the bar to place our order and sat.

We happened to stop in while killing time, and the bartender made it a great experience. Their service was fun, and they were awesome. We sat at the bar and really enjoyed the place. The taco was good, and I'm glad we stopped by. Give this place a try if you're ever in the area! It was nice, clean, and spacious

I was happy to hear that the TaKo (korean-mexican fusion) restaurant that had closed down years ago still serves their classic tacos at this place now! The tacos were just as delicious as I remembered and I will be ordering from them again. While I think the atmosphere and location is not the best since it was empty when I had gone, the food is good! Kimchi spring roll: 7/10 Bulgogi Pizza: 7/10 Spicy bulgogi and spicy chicken tacos: 9.5/10

Does anyone know if they have any type of private room/ space?

It has a large dinning area for large groups.

February 19, 2025 How far is it walkable of any downtown hotels?

Quite close to Hyatt, Sheraton, and Citizen Hotels.

Is BPM closed? When I call the number listed on Yelp, Google and their website, I get a message that Pizza Rock is closed due to Covid?

No, we didn't close. Nine days ago, you called on Monday. We decided to close on Mondays, so we started that day.

Is it walkable from Sheraton 1230 J? Any child menu?

They have a variety of different fusion flavors that all tie to Korean cuisine. A must get is for sure their Booty Booldak; other than the fun name lol, it's served with crispy taters and cheese melted on top. I also tried their Kimchi Karbonara for the first time! It was good, but I wished there were more noodles, because we were left with a lot of bacon bits in the end. Our server, Sierra, was so sweet! She was welcoming and friendly, and we even had great conversations with her. She was also quick at serving us and getting what we needed.

Apparently that night was their 3 (?) year anniversary, so not sure if this is always the case but they did have a whole live DJ on the main floor. When we arrived there were a couple other tables dining. There isn't much seating inside, and most of the tables ended up being blocked off for bottle service lol Me and my girl were there to eat so we ordered as many dishes as our tiny table could handle! Kimchi Carbonara - TBH this tasted like spaghetti... with some kimchi and bacon. It wasn't bad, but it tasted exactly the way I described it. They should just take the carbonara out of the dish's name completely. I wouldn't order it again, just cause the bacon flavor was really smokey and strong. Spicy wings - These were actually really good! Served with pickled jalapenos, pickled radish, and a cabbage salad! Just make sure you get some rice on the side. The wing sauce was spicy! Not overly, but just enough. It was sweet but not too sweet. I would recommend! Mandu- Decent. Not spectacular, but a good side to round out your meal. The dipping sauce was yummy, a nice sweet soy. Pink Venom - The flavor was so good. Tasted like a pink starburst. If you like sweet drinks, this one is it! Didn't taste the alcohol at all though. Parking sucks so bad, we had to park a couple blocks away and cross some train tracks but we made it! The waiters were so nice and checked up on us even with the whole party going on. The bouncers though didn't pass the vibe check and I didn't really like that we got IDed so many times. We're in our mid 30s lol.. be frr. The whole vibe is fun, they have a full bar and apparently in the back room, it's another bar/lounge scene. It wasn't that type of night for me, but I would come back to eat and hang out if I was in the area. Keep in mind though, the crowd is early 20s!

There were also about 12 different banchan, so something for everyone's tastes. The kalbi came out sizzling and was well seasoned. i enjoyed my tofu soup (medium spicy!) a lot, and the waitress was kind enough to crack the egg in for me. First of all, the food served is exactly like the photos. I got the short rib bun burger and bulgogi gyoza. The burger (omg) had a balance of sweet and salty but also a little spicy. Halfway through I noticed something yellow, it was a pineapple! Usually I have mixed feelings about pineapple with foods like pizza. But this complimented so well. Now, the gyoza. Crispy and you can't go wrong with bulgogi. What I was surprised with was inside I think it was japchae! If you like Korean food like me, I was so excited to see this twist. And yes it was yummy. I seem to get lucky most times and get to meet the owners. That day I met them and they're so nice! I can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu, ingredients, decor, etc. The owners are Japanese and Korean. Hence KoJa! Even this detail was really impressive. I ended up going back because the owner told me that his wife (also owner) created Yang Nyum and it was really good and popular. So I got Yang Nyum, kamikaze fries, and taro boba. The portions were great. But most of all, he was right about Yang Nyum, delicious! I didn't realize the kamikaze fries had beef, so yummy but I definitely overate that day, lol. One other thing I really liked was you could order at the register or kiosk. This is a great way to avoid lines. Once you order they have a screen that shows your ETA (why do other restaurants not have this?). I did go during the day though. So, I can only imagine how amazing it looks at night. Especially after dancing or bar hopping, the food here would pair well. Koja also sells alcohol too though and apparently downstairs is where the dancing is at. Will I go here again, absolutely.

I will preface this by saying I should come back and judge based off their main menu offerings,…read morehowever they offer a separate brunch menu and that is what I had for my visit at fuji sac. We orderd the loco moco and breakfast fried rice with scrambled eggs. The eggs were deliciously scrambled. The fried rice was ok. The big concern was my burger patty was really burnt. The consistency and flavor of the gravy was interesting. We were the first visitors of the day so I'd say while it eventually filled up, not sure the reason behind burned food. Also, with a full bar, bloody marys were not available. Really unfortunate for brunches. However, I understand this is mainly a sushi joint? So maybe I will need to come back for sushi sometime.

Yum! Was unsure about lunch one day so the husband brought home Kindred Seoul. He swore by them…read more(he's a state worker nearby the restaurant and has had them many times before). I ordered the beef cupbop and it hit the spot! All the flavors I could've asked for: sweet, salty, umami goodness. The rice was perfectly fluffy, the japchae nicely cooked, and the beef was so tasty. Great portion and was a nice, warm lunch on a cold day. If you're a state worker and haven't tried them yet, you need to! Delicious Korean food that's fresh and filling!

Located in the Allenby Building State building in Downtown Sacramento. They have a vast eating area…read morethat you can bring your own lunch if you choose, you don't have to order from Kindred Seoul to eat in the building. I've only eaten here once, but it appeared that was plenty of seating for many more people. When we walk by it's never been packed. Parking is mostly street parking with some parking in local garages. They have 2 very clean unisex bathrooms to the right of the counter. You order at the counter and then they call your number. We arrived a few minutes after Noon. There was only 1 person in-front of us and 1 person behind us so we thought it would be a quick lunch. As it turns out several people went through the line before us and the wait was around 15 minutes. Kind of an excessive wait for a counter lunch. There was one girl holding her baby taking the orders and one girl filling the orders. She was going as fast as she could, but it still took awhile. It got really backed up. I ordered the BBQ Beef Cupbop. I didn't know what to expect. As it turns out the bottom layer is white rice, next is a layer of glass noodles, then comes the can corned, a mixture of cabbage, and topped with the BBQ Beef. It was very tasty. A little on the spicy side, which made it just more flavorful. It wasn't mouth watering or eye tearing hot. It just had a little kick. The consistency of the meat reminded me of ground beef. It was very finely chopped strips. Overall it was really good. Very filling for the amount you get. It's more than we usually have for lunch. My husband had the chicken soy ginger. I had some and it was really good, but fried, so probably not as healthy as the BBQ Beef. It doesn't appear that they cook to order any food here, but they do scoop to order. From what I could see they sell a variety of Cupbop flavors, including a vegetarian option. They also sell sandwiches, salads, and a burrito. They have an ice water dispenser at the end of the counter with water cups. The vibe was interesting. You are surrounded by state worker from all different agencies all minding their own business. Many groups of 2-6 were eating together. There were less singles than groups.
