I wish I could give this place zero stars. I took my vehicle to Brake Check to have the brakes replaced. After they completed the work, they left the vehicle in brake maintenance/service mode, which meant I did not have normal braking operation. When I contacted them about it, their solution was essentially to take it to Ford. I took their advice and contacted Ford. Ford specifically told me not to drive the vehicle in that condition because it was not operating normally. That put me in an incredibly difficult position because, like most working-class people, I don't have another vehicle sitting around that I can just use. At that point, I decided to take it to a Ford dealership to have the problem they created properly diagnosed and repaired. While I was actually driving to Ford, Brake Check called me and told me they couldn't get my vehicle in until Monday morning. Then came the part that really frustrated me: they insisted they had done nothing wrong because, in their words, "technically they changed the brakes." That's not customer service. That's refusing to take responsibility for a problem that occurred immediately after their work. The service was awful, the attitude was even worse, and I felt like they simply didn't care that their mistake left me without a properly functioning vehicle. If you are trusting a shop with something as important as your brakes, you should be able to expect the job to be completed correctly and safely--not be told to take the vehicle somewhere else when their work leaves it in an unsafe condition. This place needs new management and a serious change in how they treat customers. I would strongly recommend taking your vehicle somewhere else. I will be warning as many people as possible about my experience so they can avoid going through the same thing. Absolutely the worst automotive service experience I've had. read more

I went to get my brakes fixed because they've been screeching nonstop. John was professional and kind from the moment I walked in. After they inspected my brakes, he honestly walked me through my options with no pressure and no manipulative tricks. He even agreed to tack on a plastic part under my car that had come loose at no additional charge! Chris and Soren were great plugging my tire after I had run over a nail. But I was blown away at the end. Had taken vehicle for oil change and paid for full service including new oil filter , only to find out my old oil filter was placed back on. I took vehicle back and told the manager he apologized for the situation and said he will write up the guy who did but can not issue out refund as I requested? Said he will contact the vp to reach out to me . I can not believe this happend I took my vehicle there trusting they would do the job right as there motto says but unfortunately that was not the case . Not to mention there was spilled oil all over my engine and showed the assistant manager and said himself that he couldn't belive how much oil was spilled all over . Automotive Needs? Look no further!!! Lots of bang for your buck at this NEW Brake Check location. I was stood up for a rear brake replacement at another local shop I had been doing business with for over 10 years!?!?!? On my way home at 8AM, I drove past Brake Check with only one bay occupied! I called to check availability when I returned home and they worked me in within the hour. They gave me a FREE 30 min work over and brought me out to my car to show me parts and to discuss what I had asked for (which wasn't quite needed yet) and made recommendations. I opted to go ahead with the rear brake replacement anyway....they offer lifetime replacement on their parts! They threw in for free: tire rotation, line flush and air bleed, and upgraded pads from what I had previously. OMG, they offer 50% off ever-other full oil change too. The shop manager was not only professional but witty and cost conscious! This location has had problems with the misidentification of their address so use the one in this post. If there was a 10 star availability, I'd give them 12! The location is clean and well staffed with part runs (if they don't have on hand) taking no more than 20-30 mins! I highly, HIGHLY recommend this Brake Check location for honesty, thoroughness, cost consciousness and stead-paced service. They look at the entire Auto not just myopically looking at what you brought your vehicle in for. AND they do sooo much more than just brakes. One-stop shopping for a task no one likes to manage. Do yourself and/or your loved one a favor and call them now - quit postponing that car maintenance hassle and let them treat you and your vehicle like the VALUE you are! read more

They will rip off the customer. Instead of advising using the warranty with a dealer 1st. The Will feed you a line about your vehicle is notorious for bad (insert part). My 4runnee is known for bad calipers. The dealership will disagree. $500 later you get a non OEM part which is not covered and I still have a shaking front end. But I have lifetime brake pads... Idk what that means bc brakes are supposed to wear. Hmm. Definitely check out another shop 1st. As a last resort, use this one. read more

I had a hard time finding this particular location listed so that I could write a review and I see that it hasn't been claimed by the owner yet, so I'm hoping this is the right one I'm reviewing. I originally went to the Hollywood Park area location, but I was told that they couldn't do my alignment because my car is too low to the ground and they don't have a drive on lift. I was instructed to drive up 281 past TPC parkway to the far north location and ask for Chris the manager there. So I drove to this new location I didn't even know existed and explained why I was there. My M4 was on a drive-on lift within minutes and the alignment was underway. The work didn't take very long, but while I waited in the lobby I was chatted up by the manager Chris. He is very friendly and outgoing, and he was more than happy to discuss my favorite topic-Cars! I ended up get their 3 year alignment warranty and I was pleased with the level of customer service I received while there. As a woman, when I take my cars for maintenance I am always on the lookout for how I'm treated. At no time was I made to feel like I was out of my depth, no one talked down to me to try to "dumb it down" to a woman's level of understanding about cars. It is shocking to me how often this still happens, but I was treated with respect by everyone there. I will take my cars to this location in the future because they are professional and good at what they do. read more

Never use brake check! I may have set up a cot, I spent in 3 days well over 15 hours waiting on things that never got fixed. A year later I'm still dealing with the same things I paid for. They sent me to 2 different brake checks saying their staff is better at a different one who does that? Still no fix. Now they want to charge me more money for the fix they did a year ago! Never again. I can't believe they tried telling me my calipers were bad, wanted 400.00. Went elsewhere and they said ma'am it's just a small leak 20.00 we got you. Horrible business read more
