Great cheese on the pizza but I usually go there for the baked clams and rigatoni alla vodka. When you eat in they give you small pieces of bruschetta which is delicious. The staff is really slow however. I have eaten there plenty of times and have not had one good experience where the staff was not super slow. Sitting for the restaurant can be a bit confusing as well you have walk pretty far in to get to the host desk where no one is usually staffed. behind the front counters however are very friendly and quick to greet you. So my recommendation is Great food but get it to go. read more

Terrible food and horrible experience...food was swimming in sauce after I asked for light sauce on the chicken parm and the manager came over after I told the a kid who was helping me that there was too much sauce the manager then came over and was like well that's what it looks like with light sauce and I said it's swimming and sauce and he kept trying to convince me that I should just eat it how it was after I explained that I didn't want it like that and I requested for it not to be like that so then finally he said so you're not going to eat it like that until you get lights off I said right I spent $50 on three meals and two of them or just pasta dishes one was just pasta and butter the other was baked ziti and a chicken parm $50 terrible service terrible food never again read more

Ordered 2 chopped salads tonight because a friend told me the salads here were great. Well this was a mistake. The lettuce was not chilled and I was a bit nervous immediately. As I got deeper into the salad I saw that there was a lot of lettuce that was brown and obviously not fresh! Very disappointing to say the least! Also the pizza is not refrigerated while sitting there and I wonder if this is ok. Doesn't seem right. Other pizza shops have refrigerated cases where they keep pizza or at least glass covering the pizza that is displayed. Hmmm read more

They just opened this location and are only selling pizza at this time. Which is fine with me since their pizza is really yummy. I like the classic plain pizza but friends beg to differ and claim their Sicilian pizza is their best. This place has opened! After a much anticipated grand opening it's obvious that Branchinellies knows the food business. Upon entering I was warmly greeted by many of the staff. Although I never understood the hype that Colosseo has garnered, this pizza place stands above all in Suffolk county. The crust was thin and crispy with the perfect amount of a well done sauce and cheese. In the coming weeks,I was told the restaurant will be serving more than just good pizza. The newly renovated decor is very warm and clean. The attentive staff and good food are a BIG welcome to this area. Congratulations to the proprietors on their new venture and I do hope they continue with the high standards that were in place during the grand opening. read more

It's a very good place. I've been here 4-6 times with family. Family friendly, nicely appointed decor, Peroni is available here. I enjoy the broccoli di rapa dishes, and ravioli pastas, and the parmigiana dishes are generous portions of good restaurant quality in a clean casual atmosphere. The service is serviceable, nothing to right home about, but good. It ain't NYC, but it definitely is a taste of Italy we can all appreciate. I don't know the culinary protocol, but the sliced garlic pieces in the dish seem out of place. Also I have not tried the seafood. I'd say stick to the traditional favorites and you cannot go wrong. I want to try more things, and what it lacks in elegance it makes up for in flavor. You won't go home hungry. Very satisfying meals here. Ordered a chopped salad. When it came it had many, BROWN pieces of lettuce. When I called the waitress she said "I think its supposed to be that way". Hmm. Then the manager came back to my table with the BROWN SALAD and asked me "what's wrong w/ this salad"? I just said "I'd like the check please". Moral: Do not go to this DUMP. Their linguine with clam sauce is one of the better ones I've had also--used to love Amici's but I think Branchinelli's takes the top spot in my heart now. Spaghetti with garlic and oil sounds so simple but once you try it from here, you'll notice the difference A grandma pie with fresh tomatoes. I LOVE Branchinellis pizza. It is honestly the best in the area. My issue is with their hours. Yelp, Facebook, and Google maps all say that they are open until 10pm. Two or three times I have tried to order at 930 and I am told they close at 9. If you do not have a website (which they don't), you should display your hours correctly elsewhere. If I had known they closed at 9, I would've likely ordered earlier. Instead, I now have to order from elsewhere and Branchinellis lost business for the second time from me. Might hafta start looking for a new pizza place. read more

To be honest this food kinda sucks. It lacks so much flavor. My family always gets Branchinelli's since it's convenient but nothing I ever have from here is good. Their regular pie is not good. The worst thing I've had from here is the Alfredo sauce which was so flavorless. If you like your Italian food to be lackluster then sure but there are so many other options with actually good Italian food. Like La Famiglia in sound beach or la bistro in coram/ wading river. Best pizza that is around besides there sister store coliseos. The family knows how to make delicious pizza. Thin crust. Top brand cheese. (And not cheap about it like other places). Update: I was waiting to review this after the dining room was open, so here it goes: Everything we had was good to above average. All of the appetizers are offered in half or full sized portions, which is genius if you ask me. -Spaghetti w/ white clam sauce (for some reason they don't have linguini yet) - Veal parm (served on a weird metal plate on top of a regular plate?) - Chicken parm hero (small) -"Single" appetizer portion of fried calamari. Great idea to cut the portion/price down to accomodate 1 customer as my wife doesn't touch the stuff - House salad (expensive) -Excellent vegetable lasagna which was a special that night -full sized appetizer portion of eggplant rollatini Overrall, a good casual pizza place/restaurant, as far as food goes. Price may be a tad high for certain items and portions could be a bit bigger, but completely satisfied with everything as far as tastes are concerned. P.S. Can't go wrong with their pizza! read more

I have noticed as a frequent customer though that the pizza is not as good during the weekends as compared to during the week. Since I've moved from Mattituck to Sound Beach, I've had a hard time finding an acceptable buffalo slice. Well search no more. When I first walked into Branchinelli's, the clean open layout amazed me. A friendly staff greeted me as I got lost trying to find a pizza roll. On my way, I passed it, what looked like the most delectable slice of bread, cheese, and chicken, smothered in buffalo sauce. After I ordered I looked up and saw an old familiar face, that of the man who made the best buffalo chick slice on the north fork, Francesco of Village Pizza! Now I must say, the buffalo chicken slice is not as spicy as Village pizza's was but it's a very, VERY, close second. A little easier to scarf down as well. Awesome pizza! They gladly make our pies with our favorite toppings ( I like sausage or pepperoni with onions on my half. Hubby likes chicken parmigiana with ricotta on his half) we have never had a bad pie. The staff are always very polite and make every customer feel special like we're old friends. Love this place! Food is seriously delicious and the service is always great. Shrimp oreganata is my favorite dish but also loved their shrimp parm and veal parm. The manager Kathy is always smiling and friendly and walks around and asks if you're enjoying your meal etc. Love this place. It gets crowded but we never had to wait too long for a table. The pizza slices were small, without much cheese or toppings, very old, and served lukewarm. (Colosseo's throws out better slices than the ones served here!) As other reviews have pointed out, this place is very similar to Colliseos. From the seating, ovens, and counter structure, down to the recipes. No complaints, they really have the industry down to a science. This is a real "play by the rules" pizza place, it would be interesting to see an updated selection of pies available.
