Came here on a Saturday around 4:00 p.m., and it was fairly quiet. I ordered the Peruvian Bowl with white rice, French fries, lomo saltado, and green onions on the side, along with a passion fruit lemonade. Our food came out in about 5-10 minutes, which was impressive. Overall, the food was good, and the portions were satisfying. The restaurant itself was cute, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The only disappointment was the passion fruit lemonade, it tasted more like passion fruit juice than lemonade, so if you're expecting that tart lemonade flavor, you may be a bit underwhelmed. If you're looking for a quick, convenient spot for Peruvian food, this is a solid choice. While I think there are several Peruvian restaurants in San Francisco that offer even better food, this place makes up for it with more affordable prices and much faster service. Let me cut to the chase. I was kinda disappointed with this casual rotisserie chicken shop even though it comes from the team that owns Limon. In fact, I was quite forlorn having presumed this location of Limon was permanently closed. I liked the way they prepared their pollo à la brasa because the Peruvian-style chicken was consistently succulent. I'm guessing maintaining the quality and profitability of a sit-down restaurant has been economically challenging since this was not the only Limon that has closed. I was encouraged that they kept the space and reinvented it into more of a fast food/takeout operation replete with a cartoon chicken mascot and an animated mural along the northern side of the building. I came by in the middle of a weekday afternoon, so I wasn't ready to eat on the spot. I decided on a takeout order of the $21.95 Half Chicken Pollo à la Brasa with two sides. I think I overdid the starches and went with the Plantains and Yuca Fries. I only noticed afterward that I could've gotten salad or cole slaw instead. When I got home and started to eat, I was immediately disappointed that the chicken tasted overcooked with the breast piece particularly dry. That was too bad because the skin from the rotisserie had the familiar flavorful seasonings. The plantains were tasty albeit a bit oily, while I had to nuke the lukewarm yuca fries to bring them back to life (Photo 9). Next time, I'll time my arrival closer to lunch or dinner, so I can dine in-house. My hope is that the chicken will be closer to the quality level I recall from Limon. Brasa bros has been in my list of new restaurants to try specially because I love this style of chicken. I came for lunch and the place was fairly empty. The cashier was very nice and attentive and the location was very clean. I ordered a 1/4 chicken with yuca fries and fried plantains which is my go to order for similar restaurants. Unfortunately the plantains were old and had a weird taste to them(I couldn't finish), the yuca fries were nice and crispy but you only get a few so that sucks, the chicken was the smallest piece of chicken I've ever received at a chicken restaurant! I wish I took a picture of the combo but it was so chaotic on the opening night & it was totally worth it. I waited about an hour during opening night for their $1 combo of fried chicken + fries. As a new establishment, I thought they were very organized in the way they handled the long line & wait. By the time we got to the counter, we were immediately handed food, so they chefs were working quickly. We brought the take out combos home & gave it a try. The fried chicken was very crispy and juicy and the fries were delicious, in my opinion. The fries were like thick cut steak fries that most were crunchy on outside and soft on the inside but there were definitely ones that weren't crispy (which I like). The sauce that was given to us tasted very similar to chick fila and I'm so glad there is a place nearby now. What a charming new fast food shop in the mission ! We ordered this for a game night with friends and it was absolutely perfect. We were able to order online and pick up our order very easily from the shop. We got a bucket with both the half chicken and the fried chicken . Both were very juicy and flavorful, but the true standout were the accompanying sauces. We got one of each sauce and they were so delicious in their own way. I personally liked mixing all of the sauces together but my husband's favorite was definitely the yellow sauce. As sides, we got the fries and the fried rice which were both perfect accompaniments to the chicken and the fries were also especially good in the sauces. We brought about 8 friends over to experience the food here but unfortunately had the worst experience in terms of service and the food tasted a bit stale as well. As per the poor service - the cashier (Marlo) was extremely rude and took the opportunity to take out his frustrations on us by accusing us that we took drinks that weren't for us and touched other people drinks and we have to pay for all of them again - once shown the receipt of our order to get him in check, he still continued to verbally show a lot of demeaning attitude, lied to us that he's serving the drinks to everyone at their tables and threw the drink he thought wasn't ours. It was really embarrassing for us as he was rude to my wife when she showed him the receipt and threatened to charge us again for drinks we already paid for in front of all our guests that we brought over into an almost empty setting. I would ask the owners to look into this. Note to self and others coming here, food is alright but a little bit of customer service and patience to hear others goes a long way. Even though the place was packed, the food still came out hot, fresh, and juicy -- like it had just come out of the fryer. The staff were welcoming and kind, which made the experience even better. I also had their Lagarta cerveza, which was smooth and refreshing. I thought it was really cool that the owners also created the beer brand -- and we learned they're the same team behind Limón in SF, with this being their new Peruvian fusion concept. This place is delicious. From a Peruvian household their polo la brasa was amazing. Taste just like one I got when I went to Peru. Very authentic. I wish they had more locations otherwise my family would easily be coming here weekly. Sadly we don't live in SF anymore. Everything was also very clean if you wanted to stay and eat like we did.
