Open late night, outdoor seating, dog friendly, and known for prime rib... which is exactly why we chose this spot. Unfortunately, our second visit for Mother's Day dinner was a let down. Right away, our male server informed us they were already out of prime rib, which was disappointing considering it's one of the main reasons people come here. He also didn't seem very welcoming from the start. We ended up ordering the NY pepper steak, lobster ravioli, and escargot. The escargot was fine, but the lobster ravioli was honestly a huge letdown. It came with only six small pieces for around $40 and tasted like something I could've bought frozen from Trader Joe's and topped with Alfredo sauce at home. Definitely not worth the price. The steak portion itself was decent, but there was confusion with the sides. We asked to substitute both sides for baked potatoes, but the server misunderstood. She later offered to bring another baked potato, but by then we didn't want to risk being charged extra. What frustrated us more was the lack of transparency. The menu states that all entrees come with a baked potato, but apparently pasta dishes don't qualify. When we mentioned how disappointed we were with the lobster ravioli portion, the response was basically offering us more complimentary bread or ordering an additional entree. The server even acknowledged that the ravioli portions are not entree size, which honestly made it worse. Overall, the experience completely turned us off. Between being out of prime rib, the poor value, confusing menu details, and underwhelming service, I don't think I'll be back. Also worth noting: they charge a credit card processing fee.

Walked in on a Tuesday evening for dinner at 8:30. The place was pretty packed but we only had to wait a couple minutes to be seated. We sat inside by the exit door. The place has dim red lighting and is super date night coded. Service was okay this night, but they were busy. We each ordered the petite filet and asked for the sides to be all veggies. I usually get mashed potatoes, which is really yummy! My friend and i ended up ordering another filet mignon to share as the petite filet was not enough. I would suggest getting the 10oz filet mignon per person. We each got 2 glasses of the Cabernet Sauvignon, which paired really well with the steak.

A good burger, nice ambiance, and great service. I really enjoyed my meal here. We were able to walk in and get a table for two inside on a Thursday. I didn't feel rushed at all, and got to enjoy my burger and a glass of wine. The restaurant is dimly lit and pulls really red on camera, but not in a way that feels overly romantic in person.

I absolutely love this place. It feels like an old-style tavern where you can truly enjoy a great conversation alongside an exceptional meal. There's something about the ambiance that makes you want to slow down and savor every moment. They always have different specials on the menu, which keeps the experience exciting every time you visit. One of my absolute favorites is the escargot, served in a rich garlic butter sauce simply incredible and full of flavor. The bread is served warm, which is always a lovely touch, and if you're into salads, the burrata caprese is a must. Fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced. A charming spot for good food, good vibes, and even better company.

This is a must stop and have a great dinner when you are in San Francisco. It is just so perfect. Now, this is not super fancy food, but it is fine dinning and the best steak place. You will love everything about it. Make a reservation. You really need to do that. It is crowded on weekends. It is great for a date night, it is just so pretty, but it is also family friendly. The prices are what you expect in San Francisco, but it is what it is. And it is great. They have great steaks, made just the way you want and their prime rib is wonderful. They have the best sides. Try their green beans, which have the nicest touch of garlic or their creamed spinach. All of their desserts are great. It is comfortable and you are never rushed. The service is the best. You will love it.

This place is a must visit. The ambiance is made for a great date night spot, the red and dim lighting really sets the mood. The service is great. The food is delicious. We got the filet mignon 10oz with rice and green beans. The filet was tender (ordered medium rare), the rice was nice and buttery, the green beans were made with garlic and perfectly seasoned with salt. I would absolutely order this again. We also ordered the prime rib, which was a little fatty than the filet cut but still very good. Comes with creamed spinach and mash potatoes. I can't wait to come back already! Totally worth every dollar.

The ambiance and setting inside brazen head is super nice with the red and dim lighting. There was no wait when I came here on weekdays. I got the seasonal spiked peppermint hot chocolate with schnapps recently and it was so good. The flavor is good and the chocolate isn't overpowered by the schnapps. I do wish they had more vegetarian options here and even the spaghetti without meatballs cannot be made vegetarian since the sauce is made with beef. I got the impossible burger since it was the one no meat option and it was delicious. The impossible meat and the bread and sauce are so good and I'm glad I tried it. The mashed potatoes are also good though could use some seasoning. I also got the tomato burrata appetizer and wasn't a fan so probably would not get it again. The service here is great as well!

My 1st visit took place during the pandemic where they were offering take-out, which I remembered the food being very tasty. Fast forward 5 years later, the food is still tasty. My most recent visit took place a few Saturday nights ago and it was a lovely experience dining outside in their parklet. I didn't have a reservation and luckily, there were plenty of seating available outside at 6pm, which was for the better because inside can get quite loud. Full service offered inside and outside. I never felt ignored as different staff stopped by. I opted for the petit filet, which was just the right amount of meat. I did wish that there were a few more green beans and a little more mashed potatoes as the sides were a little scanty (just my opinion). Prices are fair given the rising costs of everything. Street parking can be difficult, but not impossible. Looking forward to my next visit at Brazen Head. #23/2025

Brazen Head is one of those hidden neighborhood spots that instantly feels like home. Tucked away on a quiet corner in Cow Hollow, this dark little spot oozes old-school charm--like it's been serving locals for a hundred years. It's dark and seems old, but with eighties remodel ceiling lights. The menu is focused and comforting, packed with hearty, meat-forward classics that hit the spot. When you are seated, there is are two forks and a steak knife to prepare you for your dinner. You'll find salads and appetizers to start, followed by entrées that come with your choice of mashed or baked potato and seasonal vegetables which are brocolli or green beans depending on the entree. For vegetarians, there is an impossible burger served with creamy mashed potatoes. It is a good size portion 1/2 cup scoop, and not overloaded. There is also an appetizer garden salad, but it's not a meal size so order an entree. Everything else has meat. There are no vegan options here, but that's to be expected. Everything feels simple and satisfying. Don't skip dessert--it's the perfect finish. The wood bar adds to the nostalgic vibe and there's a small TV for those who want to turn their backs from the bar to catch a game without the loud sports-bar scene. There's also a parklet on the side for outdoor seating. Please don't arrive in hurry because the service is off. It's meant to be cozy and dark and intimate. They want you to go slow which is nice, but I asked for water three times. The busser took away plates, and I still didn't have water. Maybe it wasn't their night, but we arrived a little after 5pm on a Sunday and it wasn't that busy.

Saw this restaurant advertised on Check please. Parking is very challenging, but I really enjoyed my simple meal. We had ceasar salad ( mine with Anchovies ).... we had the roasted garlic & cheese appetizer. Petite filet minion. And a clam chowder special.... all dishes were mild flavored and tasty. Ended the evening with apple crisp & bread pudding. No complaints.... warm service and nice dark relaxed vibe. The drink wasn't very strong, but since Ì don't drink often... it was perfect for me. Warm regards, Sharine

I've been here multiple times but finally got around to writing a review. Brazen head has a very intimate and cozy atmosphere with dim lighting. Service is always attentive and very welcoming. People primarily come here for their martinis and NY strip, but in my mind they are known for their bread pudding! Honestly can't go wrong- I usually get the Chicken Marsala (bc I'm not a big NY strip girl), a Cosmo or martini and then I cannot leave the establishment without their amazing bread pudding! Hopefully you are sensing a theme lol

Old-school, cozy steakhouse vibes--very small inside, but there's a bar and some outdoor seating too. They don't take reservations, so be ready for a bit of a wait. Prices are super reasonable! We spent $168 for two people, which included a bottle of wine, two apps, two entrées, and dessert. The standout was the petite filet--cooked perfectly medium rare with great flavor. On the flip side, the meatballs were a bit dry, and the French onion soup lacked depth. The lobster ravioli came in a light sauce, but unfortunately, the lobster tasted overly fishy. Now the bread pudding? Absolutely amazing. Warm, served with ice cream, and packed with apples and raisins--it totally stole the show. Overall, I'd 100% go back for the steak and that bread pudding--but probably skip the rest.

    Linda H.

Packed and lively. Went with their prime rib which was good with the rice! Great place to go after or before drinks! Food comes out fast and it's hearty!

The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for and I loved it. Our waiter was amazing -- super attentive throughout the entire night and made sure we were taken care of. We started with the Caesar salad, and I have to say probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had. Seriously, it was that good. Then came the viral Butcher's Board, which says it serves 3+ people, but we had to order it. And it absolutely did not disappoint! It came loaded with prime ribeye, filet mignon, rack of lamb, crispy calamari, lobster truffle mac & cheese, butcher's potatoes, creamy octopus, mushrooms, and toasted ciabatta. Everything was so on point. Every bite was delicious and the board was definitely the star of the meal. The drinks were good, but I wouldn't say they were the highlight. We started with an espresso martini made with mezcal instead of vodka. I was intrigued, so of course I had to try it. It was good, but I'm still a fan of the traditional espresso martini. We also had a Lavender Lemon Drop, along with two signature cocktails, The Castro and Lavencine. The Lavencine was easily the best drink of the night. Overall, this was one of the best dinners I've had in a while. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, and definitely a place I'll be coming back to. Meats, peppers, potatoes, bread and chimichuri sauce. Excellent combination of flavors and textures. The grilled peppers and potatoes were soft with nice charred flavor. Two types of sausages with crisp casing and great flavor fillings. Could have used a bit more meat but the flavors were great. Outstanding bread served with this dish and with beef tartar Rescoldo, Eggplant, pepper and onion, Served room temp spread over toast Dessert Burnt Basque cheesecake with poached peaches. To die for!!! Beautiful interior warm and rustic. Open kitchen in the back but you can't see them easily from the tables. There's a long bar height table centered in the bar area for large groups. With several bar height tables along the wall and normal tables and booths in the main dining area. For the most part there is street parking but good luck finding a space. We took Uber so that we could have some drinks.

We came to the Palm Court at RH San Francisco for a special treat for our wedding anniversary…read more Let's talk about the atmosphere and ambiance for a little bit. Coming in, you'll see the unique structure that RH is located in. This is very obvious as this building stands out within the neighborhood of warehouses. The neighborhood doesn't feel like it's located in the best parts of San Francisco. Keeping that in mind once you are inside, it makes you feel like you have time traveled back to a house within the Roman period. With a small water fountain in the front, it showcases the aspirations of where RH wants its customers to feel when owning one of their products. With the basement and third floor being RH product based, down the hallway is where the restaurant was located. It can be tricky if the attendants weren't around but they quickly pointed us toward the right direction to where the restaurant is located. Since we were here for dinner on a reservation, they seated us fairly quickly. There were palm trees that's very visible from inside the restaurant which gave you the feeling that you're in an indoor outdoor space. The seating I gotta tell ya, it's an extremely unique experience. There's literally a fountain in the middle of the restaurant and unlike most restaurants where seating are in some type of order, the seats are set where it surrounds the palm trees throughout. Ok, enough of how cool this place looks, here's what we got: 1. Prosciutto & Delice Board - (4 out of 5) The board came how you would expect. The bread paired with the cheese were delicious, same with the deli meat and grapes. I did feel it was slightly underwhelming given how much bread it had. This dish seems to be made for a larger group in general then it was for us, a family of three. I would have much preferred a slightly smaller loaf and more add-ons to the board. 2. Mini Lobster Rolls with Caviar - (4 out of 5) The caviar they've placed on top of the lobster rolls were handsome in portion. The size of the mini lobster rolls though are really small. I know, it says "mini" on the menu but seriously, it is really really tiny. The lobster itself tasted fresh rightfully seasoned with the buttered and toasted bread, yum! 3. Grilled Asparagus - (5 out of 5) Nothing to see here, they tasted fine lol. 4. Honey Glazed Salmon - (5 out of 5) From the appearance, it looks like the honey glazed salmon is burnt. However, once you cut into them and give it a bite, it is well seasoned and is extremely soft. The tenderness of the salmon tells me that they have master this dish down to a tee. Combined with a small portion of mash potatoes, a definite must try for any salmon fans. 5. Sweet Potato Fries - (4 out of 5) Sweet potato fries, I mean who can resist them at a restaurant like this? Yum! 6. Whole Grilled Branzino - (5 out of 5) The branzino was cooked in a similar fashion like the salmon. With the right amount of olive oil mixed in, the taste is as tender as ever while not being too strong in its seasoning. 7. Caramelized Banana Split - (5 out of 5) The caramel sugar on top of the banana is similar to what you would expect in the same fashion where a creme brulee would have it. Combined with the three scoops of vanilla ice cream is hard to resist at the end of our meal. 8. Service - (5 out of 5) Our waiter was top notch. He came around often and was friendly to chat with. My wife has a tendency to drink a lot of liquids during a meal and most of the times we had to flag people down in other restaurants on refills, not our waiter here! I think he kept coming back so much to fill her water that she had to tell him that she's good lol! My overall experience inside the Palm Court at RH has been excellent. You can tell RH has invested heavily to showcase why their stuff cost the way it does and this transforms to the restaurant as well. If you ask me what type of restaurant I would place the Palm Court at, I would say I categorize it as a place where the wealthy congregate for a nice brunch. It's not formal dining nor is it casual, it sits right in the middle as a restaurant with style. If you enjoy architecture and ambiance, this is not one to miss. The food is great but the menu can definite expand in my opinion. Give it a shot the next time you're close by, chances are you'll probably experience something more than you have imagined. At least that's what it was for us lol.

Honestly overall, the ambiance and atmosphere is phenomenal. It's fancy (for sure!) and service is…read moregreat. But food? Rough, especially with that pretty price tag Crispy artichoke: ok! Definitely crispy but I would say it's about 1/4 of a regular sized artichoke but maybe they're using an artisan artichoke or something. It was fine, reminded me a bit of crispy Brussels sprouts chips but better. Shrimp cocktail: a table favorite, shrimp was good and tasted fresh. plenty of horseradish for the radish-heads. Prosciutto board: definitely a board! You pick at it, you eat from it. Its not a wow and I think for the price I could make one triple the size at Costco (or any grocery store) but remember! You're here for the ambiance. Steak frites: when the steak came out I had to hold back a laughter. I didn't look up a photo beforehand but man, was this the tiniest pricest steak I've ever seen. I think I could take it in two bites if needed. It felt like the seen of "perhaps a salad for the lady?" except this size is served to all customers regardless of gender. It was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce was yummy. The fries were eh fine, I've had better but the star of the dish was tinnie tiny Chilean Sea Bass: I love a good sea bass and I've had my fair share. My ultimate restaurant favorite so far is R&G lounge and so when I saw the price tag on the menu, I wasn't too worried but it came out. Eyes were pre-popped out from the steak fried size but I think the sea bass also took a hit from the shrink gun! the shrink gun must've also been HOT since the fish was dry and quite tough. Chocolate chip cookie: it was super yummy. Crispy outside, gooey inside and so yummy I'm thinking of it right now. Raspberry sorbet: a little TOUGH like it's been too far back in the freezer a bit however perfect with the cookie. Creme brulee: I typically don't like creme brulee but I liked it a lot! Silky, creamy, yummy.

There was a lot of people standing by the doorway, but I learned that they were just waiting for their name to be called. Once I checked in with the front, she quoted me a 3 hour wait! She offered for me to put my list with the bartender, which is a separate waitlist. The bartender has his hands full with making drinks and attending to the waitlist. Once you're on it, they offer if you'd like to buy a drink while you wait. They just hold your card. It's pretty much a standing room only near the bar area and behind the bar you're lucky if you fins a seat to sit. After an hour, someone got up from the waiting seat so we sat there. Unfortunately, the table was never clean, so there was empty glasses on it. We waited about two hours and 10 minutes before I was called. By that time I was famished. As soon as I got my salad, I devoured it as well as the soft warm bread. The salad is one of the best!!!! The bartender took my order. I ordered the City cut, which is a really good size along with spinach and a baked potato. Everything was delicious. They also give you like a fluffy pancake bread with your meal, which was interesting but good. Our server was on it. Checked on us and made sure we were good. We did have to ask for a missing baked potato but he made sure it came.

We also had the curry chicken croquettes, citrus caesar, confit octopus, and gnocchi - all fantastic. And the drinks - next level. A charming little bistro inspired by the Marlowe cows, I'm assuming, managed to stun us with several memorable dishes. The warm deviled eggs were an excellent start. Savory yet delicate enough to not weigh us down right at the beginning of our meal. The horseradish aioli wasn't for me, but I can see its appeal for a certain audience. You give me a Calabrian chili sauce and it's guaranteed to make me happy and this shrimp with sweet corn was no exception. Again, light but a punchy flavor that was enjoyable. I could go on and on about the different dishes we tried but the real standout of the night was the pork tenderloin with chorizo and peaches. The sweetness from the peaches somehow managed to enhance the flavor of the chorizo. This dish gives you a bold, savory and sweet bite all together but still won't have you feeling super heavy. The portion size is perfect. Im hoping to return soon for another exquisite meal.

I wanted to take her to one more nice place before heading back home. Chef Tyler Florence's Miller & Lux next to the Chase Center in Mission Bay seemed like the best option. Parking was a bit challenging, as the spots across the street from Miller & Lux were five minute passenger loading only after 6pm. So I had to park in the stadium garage, which took about 10 minutes to find a spot and walk all the way back to the restaurant. From the moment we were escorted upstairs from the bar area, the service was top notch. Very congenial and accommodating. More importantly, my mom felt well-taken care of by the staff. They gave us our choice of a central booth or smaller table next to the expansive window overlooking Mission Bay. As we are both light eaters, we decided to share an order of the Filet Mignon and Tableside Caesar. After the soufflé-like bread puff and butter appetizer, the salad specialist rolled up his cart next to our table. He got busy mixing together mustard, Worcestershire sauce, shaved Parmesan, and several other ingredients then tossed it with neatly trimmed lettuce. Finally, he topped each salad with candied Meyer lemon, more shaved Parmesan, thin croutons and plump anchovies. There was also lemon zest dashed around the rim of the plate. I ate each leaf while instead of cutting it. Seemed easier that way. It had a nice balanced taste and was one of the better Caesar salads that I've had. The Filet Mignon was a bit rarer than the medium rare we requested. It had almost an Akami tuna like texture inside, which is not what you'd expect from beef. Possibly some aging broke it down to make it that smooth. They were very accommodating to take it back and fire it on the grill a little longer. It came back with the perfect amount of doneness. The horseradish sauce we added gave each bite a nice cream and spicy kick. We had an ode to the now extinct Orange Julius' signature flavor, orange and cream in the form of a soft serve sundae topped with a sugary macaroon and tart tangerines. It definitely brought back some memories. Thanks to the staff for making dinner for me and my mom a pleasant and enjoyable experience with their hospitality. For an upscale steakhouse and seafood establishment with exceptional service, Miller & Lux is a great option in the City.

We were greeted by the sommelier who opened up the wine bottle we brought and also made some recommendations. She also brought over the champagne cart and I started the evening with a glass of the Collet Brut which was crisp and refreshing. A perfect palate cleanser to start off with the appetizers. The complimentary pop over is still one of the most delicious treats ever! It was brought over with a classic butter and a flavored butter that were just to die for. Now of course, the caesar salad is still a must here!! Prepared tableside this is part show, part experience, and full flavor bomb. I love watching the dressing come together and the freshness of every ingredient being used. Just the aroma of the olive oil and parmesan cheese is amazing. The Caesar salad was dressed to perfection and perfectly crisp! Also got the oysters, because they were an absolute knock out the last time we were here. And still one of the best! It is quite literally the cleanest and freshest oyster I've ever had. Our waitress did an amazing job of explaining the whole menu in great detail. For dinner entree, we went with the ribeye, served with bone marrow to split between 2 with a side of the mac & cheese and accompanied with creamed horseradish to give the steak an extra kick. To be honest, that steak needs nothing extra. It is "melt in your mouth" tender and extremely flavor. I love the addition of the bone marrow because it enhances the richness of the steak. The mac & cheese is also very indulgent and rich. We were way too full for dessert so we went with a ball of the espresso gelato and were given complimentary carrot cake bites which were soooo gooodddd. I wish I wasn't full because they're pastry chef is the best! Hands down the place for a 5-star lux dining experience!
