GREAT espresso drinks as the name would suggest. I had a fantastic iced latte where the espresso really shone through. I shared the mentaiko bread plate and clam chowder bread plate with three friends. My favorite was the mentaiko which I'm always a sucker for. We a were still hungry so we also got more bread - the croque madame was decent (probably better fresh or warmed) but the mushroom brioche was KILLER. Just an insanely good combo with the arugula and the creamy cheesy sauce inside. They also do $5 surprise bags, I assume with day-olds. We got matcha red bean, bacon cheese, and a canele in ours. Parking available in the lot/garage in the back.

I've had both the bread, food and shaved ice here and I don't know what all the hype was about. In this day and age of health/weight consciousness who the heck wants to eat a square brick of bread... or if I'm gonna eat it, it better be damn good... but it's just ok. When I went on a sat around 5:30pm they were about to close shop when online it says they are open til 9pm... I'm not going back here...

I absolutely LOVE this place! They have the most amazing bread super soft bread and tastes so fresh. The only thing I wish If prices for pasteries was less but otherwise everything I had here is so good! The best thing to get here is their French toast! Their French toast kind of tastes like cake in a way just because how soft the bread is. The French toast plate comes with sausage, bacon, Greek yogurt with berries, and a salad. I'm not a sausage person but my friend enjoyed it The clam chowder bread bowl plate was also good I split it with my friend I just wish there was more clam pieces my friend says that there was some in his maybe he took them from me lol. From the pasteries I loved their cinnamon roll bread I didn't expect to love it so much because it wasn't technically a cinnamon roll but it tasted exactly like a cinnamon roll and because their bread is soft it works so well I ordered the ham and cheese croque and I brought it home and toasted it in the oven and it was really good. Also one of best things I had here is their cheese focaccia bread that was one of the best things I had here as well. Super soft bread I would highly recommend this place! If you love bread and bakeries! Sometimes i hear it can get crowded on weekend but depends on the time I went during the weekday and there was no line. If you go towards the end of the day they may be out of certain pasteries

This place was so cute and so good! The style of the cafe and pastry assortment feels like I'm transported back to Japan. The menu has so many options, I got the iced blueberry matcha latte with almond milk and while it was a bit expensive, it was delicious. Real smashed blueberries to create a homemade blueberry syrup that was so unique. Will definitely be back!

The pastries here are pretty good, some clearly better than others, but they're on the pricey side compared to similar bakeries. My favorite was the ham and cheese croissant. Super crispy and nice balance of flavors. The cinnamon roll and matcha mou were both good. The bread was very soft, but not special enough that I would go out of my way to get them. My least favorite was the hojicha cream bun. The cream was more bitter than I expected, and the bread itself was very average. I would not get it again. Very friendly service. The staff told me how they just got the croissants in and were very popular, and if I did not plan to eat the pastries the same day, I should keep them in the fridge.

One of the 7 wonders...of LA. Sitting here enjoying my pastries reminds me of a cafe in Hokkaido. You can't go wrong with any of their breads, but so far I really like their melon pan, croque madam (warmed), and mou! I'm pretty sure this was the best unsweetened hojicha latte I've had. Simple and refreshing. They're running a $4 summer promotion so go try it!!

The matcha here is very good. It was on sale the time we visited and I almost went back to get another because it was so good and cheap! the chocolate croissant was fresh out of the oven when i tried it. It was soooooo good! The warm melted chocolate was phenomenal with the crunchy outside and soft flaky inside. The only downside is how much the croissant costs. I would only get it again if i saw it come out fresh, because it is too good to ignore then. But, i am not confident i can make it taste that good if it was taken home and reheated. The mous were both good, but I liked the melon pan more. If you ever had the boro japanese snacks, this melon pan tastes more like that than a typical melon pan. We also got a pork sandwich that was very good

I wish I lived closer to this cafe! I got the mentaiko entree & I love how it comes with a side salad, yogurt, and fruit. It makes for a nice brunch. It's a very clean & cozy spot with outdoor seating as well. The staff were all friendly & the food came out pretty quick. We parked in the parking lot just up the hill by the plaza. I already want to come back to try their other entrees, bread, and drinks!

I have been going to bread, espresso & since it first opened. If you haven't been to Bread Espresso & yet, you are missing out. Those signature bread cubes are a work of art. The crunch on the outside gives way to the softest, most buttery interior. We went a couple of weeks ago. It's the first time i have tried the corn mou which i think is a must-try. We also had the Mou clam chowder which was really good. Super cute spot, amazing food, and easily a new favorite in Redondo!

The food was good I loved the French toast plate! The bread was good apart from the corn. It wasn't inherently bad but I'd think it would be a type of corn custard or corn cheese but it was just straight up corn lol Matcha latte was a skip, it wasn't horrible but it was too milky and I don't think they know how to sweeten it well.

Pros: - baked goods were amazing!!! 5/5 for the bakery section. Definitely try to go earlier because they sell out of things (I went around 1pm and they sold out of a few things). - The vibe of the place was soooo cute, nice, and clean. They really used the space well with all the seating and outdoor area. - There is a small parking lot up the hill behind the building. - all the staff except the barista that day were super nice! - plain iced latte with oat milk was solid. Not mind blowing but still good. Room for improvement: - the drinks were very mid and not worth the price (basically $9). I'm sure the quality of matcha powder is exceptional; however, the ratio to milk was very off and it was so milky you could barely taste the matcha. The barista that day was kind of rude to the customer in front of me and when I asked a question about their Hot Drink Tokyo Fog, he brushed off the question and shortly replied it was an iced tea. - there's a bottleneck at the cash register because of the workflow. The register person takes orders, cashes out, cleans and refills the trays, wraps each of your baked goods, and probably more. So there ends up being a longer wait there even if you're only grabbing 1 baked good, I ended up waiting a lot longer than I thought I would. I would come back for the hot food and baked goods if I'm in the area. Excited to see them grow!

Their best item is the curry cube bread. Big chunks of beef inside with some traditional curry sauce. Very savory and tasty even at home after toasting it in the air fryer. The bacon version didn't have enough bacon and was a little boring with nothing inside after eating the curry version. The melon pan was best fresh. The earl grey was a little too subtle. Fig focaccia would have been better if the bread was softer. It was a little tough to eat. The Americano was excellent because of how strong it was. Some inside and outdoor seating. Parking on the street and behind the restaurant. Very nice location for brunch or lunch.

matcha mou ($5.4) - looks unassuming shaped like a cube and a bit tiny but it's actually a really good quality bread - wouldn't say it's any life changing or something I'd go out of my way to get but it's pretty good although ive had better ones in asia - it's soft and chewy with some moisture retained; not dry at all! rating: 4/5 - not astonishing but it's a good basic bread id get if im around the area - love the variety of asian flavors - service is alright... wait time could be a bit long but it's probably because i went when it was still hot and newly opened - small spot with major bakery vibes rather than brunch vibe even though it's got brunch menu too; there are seats inside but could easily fill up IG: @nom.noms.only

If it sells out, the shop should close for the day, that's how all bakeries should be.

This is by far my favorite matcha spot I've tried in the South Bay, and has a richer, smoother matcha flavor than comparable nearby cafes if that's what you're looking for. Their jasmine matcha cloud is my favorite and I had to get another after finishing my first one. The jasmine tea is very floral and perfectly compliments the matcha foam. I also loved the first flight matcha, but the coconut matcha even more so. It's really hard to find a place that 1. has good coconut water and 2. has matcha strong enough that it doesn't get diluted by the coconut water. First Flight Coffee does both of these perfectly and will always be my go-to spot in the South Bay for coconut matcha. Only downsides are that the parking lot sucks to get out of (especially if you plan on going west or north), but it's very easy to take a small detour. There isn't too much seating inside if you plan on studying so it's more of a grab and go place. Overall, I wish I could give this place more stars!
