First time here, I went with two long long time friends I had not seen in many years. So it was cool to come to a place with such a cool setting. We sat on the outside patio which was great. It was not crazy busy yet, but within 30-1 hr of arriving the place got crazy busy. The food was absolutely amazing, I had the bacon benedict (called it pork belly) but it was FIRE. I came here for my boyfriend's birthday. It seems like it was nice place to go eat for a bday meal. Getting seated was very quick but getting served took FOREVER, it took twenty minutes. It was busy but it felt like everyone was getting quicker service than us. But when we finally got our food, the s*** comes out COLD and it was almost served to the table next to us just to piss them off. and i dont recommend the smores french toast. Went to breakfast here on February 5, 2026 which was my third time eating here. I love coming to this restaurant because the food is very delicious. And the servers are very nice. But this particular day we had this very special server, Joe that came and kept checking in on us to see if we needed anything else. He had a very good sense of humor, he was very nice and polite. Our experience began with a serious and unacceptable issue: my service animal was denied entry by Yesenia. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals are legally allowed in all public spaces, yet she refused to accommodate us. It was over 85 degrees outside not only was it unsafe for my service dog to remain out there, but it was also extremely uncomfortable for us as guests. Despite this, Yesenia showed no empathy or willingness to understand the law or the situation. Beyond the ADA violation, her entire demeanor was unprofessional. She was cold, dismissive, and made it very clear she didn't enjoy her job. There was no warmth, no hospitality... just a frustrating attitude that made an already stressful situation worse. I felt disrespected, singled out, and genuinely uncomfortable. The only saving grace was Joe. He handled everything with professionalism, kindness, and a calm that instantly shifted the energy. He listened, acknowledged our concerns, and treated us with the respect we should have received from the beginning. Joe is the only reason we stayed... and the only reason we'd consider coming back. Boy, this place is popular. And I can kind of see why. They have a varied menu with something for everyone. And the portions are huge. Everything we saw in passing looked delicious, but somehow, it didn't really live up to our expectations. We both had Benedicts, one regular and one with "Jurassic" pork bacon, both with house potatoes. The bacon was slightly caramelized and a little less than crisp. The English muffins were barely toasted and had no crunch. We asked for the potatoes to be crispy, and they were, but sadly, tasteless. We kept dashing them with salt and pepper but to no avail. The hollandaise sauce was strangely sweet and not lemony. All in all, it tasted like chain restaurant food designed to sound and look yummy. But it didn't pay off. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I definitely wasn't expecting corn kernels in my scramble. The house potatoes that come with the scramble were cold. Coffee wasn't strong. It was just ok. The menu has so many good options it's honestly hard to choose, but everything we ordered was a win. Wow. I don't even know what to say. Our original server Alfredo (who was great btw, thank you Alfredo) was taking a break. He told us that we can ask anyone to help us out and he'd come check on us when he was back, it was early so the restaurant was pretty empty still. We finished and I was trying to asking someone, who had helped us before, for a box and the bill. As this person, later we found out her name was Karla, walked past me I said "excuse me," she stopped, did not turn around and said "what?" As she finally turned around and came back to the table I was beginning to say "can we get a box and...." Before I could finish, she cut me off and gave her back to me, as she walked away she said "I'll get your server." I replied to her "he's on break." She didn't turn around, didn't stop walking and simply said "that's fine" and walked into the kitchen. We then asked to speak to a manager. Jose was great and as diplomatic as he could be. Thank you Jose and Alfredo. That being said I have never felt so disrespected on a human level by an employee. Curt, rude answers, refusing to speak to me and turning her back while I am speaking. My advice to Karla is find a new job if you hate attending to customers so much. My advice to Breakfast Republic is to start finding the weak links (I'll give you a hint) in your restaurant that are allowing for cold eggs and substandard service (half our food was cold). Extremely delectable coffee, and a staff that is friendly and helpful. Today our server was Garciela, and boy did she know the menu options! Every item she brought out was delicious and warm, and she refilled our drinks accordingly... not to mention checked in every few minutes to ensure we didn't need anything else. Service alone was 5+ stars Brunch places are tough, often a hit or miss with either being too traditional or quite frankly too daring, but Breakfast Republic adds just the right amount of twist to keep you wanting more, but not enough to make you never return. The tableware, primarily the cups are adorable and fun. My kids loved the syrup chicken, and the salt and pepper eggs. It's the little things right? Overall ok, but I expected more from a place that has "breakfast" in its name. Parking is easy, there's street options, an open lot across the street by chase, and a structure in the same building. Our server was nice! The food was only ok even though they definitely had interesting dishes and do have multiple vegan and gluten free options. I got the fennel sausage omelette, again, only ok and the potatoes very salty. We also had the Jurassic Bloody Mary which was not good and had floppy bacon..the Mexican coffee was interesting and sweet. Very chill spot and kids friendly. It was okay. Pretty average brunch food, I'd say it was not super memorable and nothing I would rave about. We walked in around 10:30am on a Saturday morning and were quickly seated outside (it was a hot day so all the indoor tables had a wait time). Had a great experience here with my family, our waitress ( young lady named Karla ) was just absolutely amazing, very professional, knowledgeable about the menu and the city , and was very attentive. All the recommendations given were top notch. We had the chilaquiles and pancake flight to share and it was great. The menu is jammed packed with pork, which was a bummer. But the plates that didn't, limited, were great. The rice, however, on the huevos rancheros was not the best so I would avoid. This is a review of ONLY the French toast for two plate. Way too sweet. The s'more French toast was inedible. Way too much graham cracker dust, no chocolate (at least they I could taste) and a flood of boring mini marshmallows. I won't get it again. I suggest they replace the mini marshmallow with one or two regular sized myand torch them so they are like a s'more. The Mr Presley with peanut butter was the lesser of three evils. However, I will return because I'm in the area a lot. The place is cute, and the bottomless cafe de Olla is amazing! I suggest for $5.00 extra, the chicken sausage should have two pieces. For $4.50 extra find some sort of "special" turkey bacon. It's out there. Next time I'll try a egg plate and another time the pancakes. Pancakes will be the true test of the place. read more

I had breakfast here on a Saturday and it was delicious. It was just me so I was able to get a spot immediately at the bar, but it looked like getting a table wouldn't have taken too long either. They have both an inside and an outside patio with good shade from the sun. I had the protein scramble, an English muffin and some coffee, all of which were great. Parking can be a little iffy. The street parking out front is always taken, but there are a few side streets where you can maybe luck out and find a spot. I was able to luck out and find out, but you might have to drive around a little bit, you may want to brush up on your parallel parking skills in case you find a tight spot! They did have some nice quotes on their wall which really made me think more deeply about my life than i wanted to that early in the morning, but it had great messages to remember, its in my pics. read more

I decided to take my boyfriend to this brunch spot for his birthday since it's his favorite place, but unfortunately the experience ended up being extremely disappointing. To start, my dish came out with a hair in it. I understand mistakes can happen, but it immediately set a negative tone for the rest of the meal. I also ordered a hot coffee, and when it arrived, the mug was stained on the outside. It looked dirty and unhygienic, which only added to the discomfort. What made things even more frustrating was seeing the table behind us receive a complimentary birthday slice of cake. Our server (which was also theirs) and even the manager acknowledged their celebration, and the guests themselves mentioned to our server that it was my boyfriend's birthday as well. Yet nothing was offered to him, which made us feel overlooked and honestly a bit uncomfortable. On top of that, the overall service was terrible. Our server never checked on us--not once--to ask how our food was. We had to keep flagging down different servers just to get utensils or add to our order. After we finished eating, our plates were never cleared. We actually had to move our own dirty dishes onto the empty table next to us just to make room for our French toast. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously, because the service we received was far from acceptable, especially for a birthday meal at a place we normally enjoy. read more

Very disappointed. There is always a line on the weekends. I decided to bear the 15-20 minute wait and give it a try. It must be good since it's so popular. NOT! I ordered the Shrimp & Ricotta Frittata. I went with the recommendation to add avocado +$2.50 and upgrade the bacon to Jurassic pork +$2.00. The Frittata has a good number of shrimp and veggies. However it lacks in flavor. It is super bland. No special seasonings or salt and pepper. Some people like it like that but I need some signature seasoning that makes me crave a dish that I can't get at home. I upgraded to the Jurassic pork. Big mistake. If the Jurassic pork is "thick cut" then the regular bacon must be paper thin sliced. It was regular bacon, nothing special. To finish this dish, I had to put salt, pepper and hot sauce on it- lots of all three. The service was basic. He made sure to let me know the up charges for getting the avocado, Jurassic bacon and fruit instead of potatoes. Which is another pet peeve of mine- if I'm not getting potatoes or toast, don't charge me extra for getting fruit in place of the carbs. I sat outside to enjoy the beautiful California weather. I tried to sit at the tiny bar but outside at a table was better. I'm not inclined to come back. There are other menu items that sound delicious but I'm too afraid of the disappointment. We got the French Toast Sampler for two, a hot chocolate, and a bottomless strawberry lemonade. The three in the sampler were Mr. Presley (sans bacon), Strawberry & Mascarpone, and Banana Split. All three were excellent, and it was indeed enough for two. We did think that the mascarpone filling could have used some more flavor somehow. It was just plain mascarpone. I especially liked the Mr. Presley. (Elvis liked deep-fried banana, peanut butter, and bacon sandwiches. Similar idea here, but with eggy bread.) The hot chocolate was too thin, had little marshmallows on top that weren't mentioned on the menu (I took those off, being vegetarian), and was in the tiniest little mug I'd ever been served hot chocolate in. No refills. Don't bother with the hot chocolate. My wife thought that the lemonade was pretty good. We didn't get hardly any visits from the waiter, and our waters ran dry. Cardinal sin. I grew up in San Diego, but moved to Los Angeles a number of years ago. I used to go to Breakfast Republic at many locations throughout San Diego since 2015 when they opened and every single time it's consistently a delicious breakfast. This Culver City location was the same as the others in that it was also great. It was a taste of home. They have some really great options on the menu and they update it often. Service was really quick and she did a great job checking in on us. When we arrived, we had to wait 20 minutes to sit down for a 10 AM Saturday breakfast but the wait was worth it. I ordered the Cluck Madame and added avocado, which is one of my favorite Eggs Benedicts that I have ever had. I also ordered a side of Jurassic Pork and a Bacon Cheddar Sausage. The only issue I had was that my eggs were cooked too much so they were almost poached hard. They were not runny at all sadly but still it was very tasty. We topped off the meal with a Salted Caramel Latte and it too had great flavors. I think it's one of the better breakfasts in Los Angeles, and I would highly recommend to anyone.
