We stopped here for a last minute brunch on a Sunday around 11:30am. The wait was about 30 minutes and it didnt take long for us to get seated. Our food was good but it was definitely not what we ordered. My boyfriend ordered the jalapeno bacon cheddar omelette and instead he got what appeared to be a "meat lovers " omelette as it had about 3 different meats but no jalapeno in sight. For our vegan entrees I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito and my friend ordered the vegan harvest omelette but after we placed our orders, we were told they ran out of the plant based eggs and would just throw in random veggies in the place of it. What we received was a plate full of potatoes in place of the harvest "omelette" and a burrito filled with potatoes instead of maybe avocado and peppers and onions. We came here for breakfast/brunch on a Sunday at 9am. It wasn't too busy yet but definitely got busy by the end we were done eating around 945. We were seated outside and the service was quick and efficient. I also enjoyed the music that was playing on the patio. I ordered the breakfast burger and my boyfriend got the Portuguese sausage scramble and we shared the pineapple pancakes. The food came out quickly. Portions were large and filling. The burger had sausage in it as well and was flavorful. Both sets of potatoes were on the salty side. The pancakes tasted good but it was probably something I could make at home. I definitely want to try their other breakfast options. They allow dogs on their outdoor patio. There is street parking and possibly parking in the garage next to sea salt - we live walking distance so did not park anywhere. read more

Came across this place via Yelp and decided to stop by with the family ! We came by on a Thursday morning and the place was busy. We only had to wait about 10 minutes to get seated. The hospitality was amazing and we were consistently attended to throughout our meal. The classic breakfast plate was great, the potatoes were delicious and all the decor just makes you smile! And the to go cup of coffee was pretty cool too! We'll definitely be back! My only constructive feedback is that the turkey bacon was too dry and crispy. Maybe cooking it less would help. Service is very slow. I understand that we went peak hours on a Saturday. Checked in at 11:25 was seated by 12:10. Waited another 30 for our food. We were done within :15 because my kids had lost their appetite by the time the food came out that they barely touch the food. People are nice and it's conveniently located. Parking is very limited. A breakfast republic opened near my dentist's office so I decided to stop by after my appointment. I ordered a breakfast burrito and cranberry juice. I didn't like the $20 price but once I received it, I was surprised at how big the burrito was and it came with two sides. The sides were delicious, but the burrito was bland as I don't know what. The cranberry juice didn't even look like it was 8 ounces and because the cup was so short, placing it in my cupholder in my car, basically lifted the lid off the cup, causing the juice to spill in the cupholder. Even when the lid was secure on the cup, it's still spilled out. Based on the one item I had, breakfast republic is bland, overpriced, and overrated. It's one of those gentrified restaurants that focus on aesthetics rather than flavor. It appeals to people who are not accustomed to eating food that is well seasoned. read more

I'm going to start with the good and go from there. Upon arrival everyone was lovely and welcoming. the place is adorable and fun. the server was sweet and attentive. The egg chairs are adorable and the "Walkens" sign was funny. My daughter (6yo) ordered the yogurt which she often does (and almost always eats) and refused to eat the yogurt. So I paid $14 for a few berries, but that's kids. More so on here as a warning that your kids may not like this option, even if they often have it elsewhere. With that said I personally thought the brûlée banana was delicious. Now where my low rating comes in: I ordered a Power Bowl. I ordered the eggs poached and they came with the yolks completely hard on all three eggs. I didn't want to complain or seem rude so I suggested that I just get a proper egg with some run to the yolk (how the poached eggs are literally anywhere else I order) to make it easy. They brought it, all good. the bowl was okay, the steak was okay (with that said, I ordered a steak for my daughter and she ate it all). Well, they charged me for the egg. maybe I am wrong but it blew my mind that I got charged for this. Then, It's time to pay and the server is making multiple drinks (totally okay!). I notice a couple other workers asking others if they needed anything. At this point I have my card out and am waiting and trying to get attention and despite trying to catch eye contact for the bill, get looked right passed multiple times but the table next to me gets asked if they need anything, billed out, and gone. While I found this annoying I am thinking it wasn't intentional, but even my kid was asking why we were being looked over. My guess is a woman with a kid looks more content. Overall I would have given the restaurant 4 stars, but the fact that I got charged for trying to easily sort an unsatisfactory meal (and said this was the reason right off the bat - but sending the whole meal back when we were tight on time seemed silly) is the reason for 2 stars. The last part didn't have a strong bearing on my review but it didn't help. It's not somewhere I would run back to but I wouldn't tell people not to go. read more

We tried their French toast sampler (you can choose any 3) and their pesto mushroom eggs Benedict was unique. The pesto sauce and raspberry jam tasted freshly made. We waited a while for our waitress to walk by but she was no where to be found so we went to the bar to ask for lemon. While waiting for our food, a random waitress came up to our table and asked if we were ready for the check. I kindly told her we were waiting for our food. She smiled nonchalantly and walked away- no "oh I'll check on that for you" or "sorry about that". No sense of urgency whatsoever. The food was ok. it took a while to get to the table and it was barely lukewarm. Potatoes looked like frozen diced potatoes they just had to reheat. We didn't have utensils so we had to flag down another waiter to get it. It was time for drink refills and again our waitress was nowhere to be found so we asked the busser and she was nice enough to stop what she was doing and refill our water and coffee. Our waitress finally came at the 11th hour and advised it was last call. I was annoyed at this point because she didn't come back to provide refills and check in to see what we thought about the food yet it's now last call. (4 stars because of Joe -- otherwise would've been 1) I came in feeling super anxious after a really disappointing and frankly illegal interaction with the hostess, Yesenia. I have a service dog, and she told me he wasn't allowed inside -- which is not only wrong but a violation of ADA laws. Her tone was cold and dismissive, and she made it clear she didn't want to seat us. I almost walked out. But then Joe stepped in and completely turned the experience around. His energy, warmth, and professionalism were everything Yesenia was lacking. He was kind, attentive, and made us feel welcome and valued. You could tell he actually enjoys his job and cares about the people he's serving. If it weren't for Joe, this would've been a one-star review. Huge shoutout to Joe -- he saved the entire experience. Management: please educate your front-of-house staff on service dog laws and give Joe a raise. He deserves it! read more

Great Breakfast addition to Culver City. Very fun and exciting menu with all day breakfast, ample parking near by and fast and friendly service. No photos as I had hungry kids with me but everyone left happy. The Turkey sausage was outstanding and the pan ales all fluffy and tasty.
