We ordered the Ube latte (delicious!!), chilaquiles (locals favorite), side of bacon, sausages and a Trio of pancakes for the kids (buttermilk, strawberry cheesecake and oreo pancake), these pancakes are so full of flavor and fluffy and just so good! Went on a Tuesday late morning and had what appeared to be about 5 tables of regulars. Service getting seated was fast. Waitress was good. Very cute restaurant, a little gimmicky but a good splash of sarcasm and they have what appears to be a photo wall which we did not see til we were leaving. No kids menu but waitress said most people just order from the sides menu, like 1 pancake or eggs. Mind you, there was no 1 pancake on the sides menu. Would love to see a kids menu and a better kids placemat. Crayons were good, they were triangular and didn't roll (high priority of a mom, lol) The breakfast burrito was good size, I only finished 1/2. Very flavorful. Downside was I couldn't taste ANY sour cream and the last 4 bites was the only spot w the guacamole. The black beans were VERY GOOD. Rice a bit overcooked. Hubby got the scrambler w all the meats (can't remember the name). It was good, eggs were a little soggy he said and the potatoes were bland. But we always get the item with the Portuguese sausage!!!! Maybe a little seasoning salt on the potatoes would've spiced them up. He had to use ketchup for some flavor and we NEVER use ketchup. It came w toast... the smallest ONE slice of bread I ever seen. But the jam was AMAZING!!! And the little plate it was on had a little quote; so cute! Our little got the regular order of pancakes and devoured them. The best part for him was the little syrup pourer. And the jam... he kept dipping his pancakes in it. Started with a decaf iced ube latte. It as coconut almond creamer, with a shot of espresso. It is an interesting rating flavor. A bit sweet. Very good. I ordered the mushroom pesto eggs benedict with crispy bacon in the bene, along with crispy hashbrowns with no bacon bits, because I think their normal hashbrowns have bacon bits in it. The bene was very tasty but for the life of me I didn't taste or see any bacon. I asked and they said it was in there. They came around again and asked if i see the bacon yet and i said no so they unexpectedly brought me an order of bacon. I guess I was expecting actual slices of bacon in the bene. The hash browns were seasoned with, I think, oregano, which I wasn't expecting but it was good. Not crispy, which I do prefer. Cute place and very busy here. We ordered coffee & water, perusing the menu, I noticed it was small but interesting. There are many alcoholic drinks, coffee and juice options. There are also many sweet breakfast options as well. We settled on the chilaquiles with eggs and the vegetarian breakfast tostadas. The chilaquiles had great flavor and came with eggs, rice and beans. The tostadas came with breakfast potatoes (which had good flavor but were very cold). The waitstaff wasn't as attentive as they should've been, but overall the experience was nice. read more

When we got there in the morning, it looked like there was a long line, but we were seated within two minutes. We were greeted by a lovely lady named Flora, who had a chicken hat on her head. We were seated in the spot we wanted, served drinks immediately, ordered and got our food within another 5 to 6 minutes. The entire wait staff was friendly, we talked to the manager, who was very nice, and you could see the professionalism and joy within all the employees, including the people who bussed the tables and the people who cooked the food. Place our order got our beverages and were served within 20 minutes of being there. The server checked on us and we didn't have to look around for help. The menu is fairly simple yet has unique and different variety of breakfast meals . Mom had the San Diego eggs Benedict. Which she says we're very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the sauce was delicious and adding avocado made it a bit more prestige. The plate was presented nicely with diced potatoes. I had the shrimp and vegetable omelette with ricotta cheese. Yum! It had red peppers, asparagus, ricotta, cheese, green onions, and I added avocado to add a little more prestige., love, avocado, and I have to add it almost every meal!!! I had to add a little bit of salt and a little bit of pepper as it was lacking in those areas, but that's why they have it on the table for their guest to add. The coffee was delicious. They gave us really large cup, and it was very robust and full-bodied. Most importantly it was hot.! We asked for a little bit of cinnamon to add a sweetness to our coffee and it was delivered. That made the coffee even better. It was a little smoky flavored and having the cinnamon was perfect. I added a side of fruit with my meal instead of toast and it was a nice medley of pink, juicy grapefruit segments, delicious pears, green, grapes, blackberries and strawberries. Our bill was $51.99. The portion of this the additional fruit and avocado that we added. I felt that was a reasonable price for what we ordered and the portions that we received.
