Yikes! Stay away! Visited the restaurant due to being in the area + needing a quick bite to eat. Somewhat toddler friendly - brought her a covered drink (always a plus) and had a high chair readily available. But everything else was a disaster. We were seated in front of the entrance so every time someone opened the door the cold weather would land at our table. So bad we wore our coats the entire meal! Then our server. Even though he took our order quickly he never returned after receiving our food. After being sure there was a mix up (the garlic aioli taste horrible and nothing like garlic aioli...) he returned with BBQ sauce per my request. Never came back. At all. We ended up getting helped by the manager(?) or owner who took care of getting us to go boxes and our bill. We had asked for our bill to be delivered with food and that did not happen. But he also never came back to give us our bill. It was all very strange. I wish the children's menu specified it has fries with some menu items. The 3 fries for $9.50 is an insane portion (see picture)! I had absolutely no idea who large the serving size was. In all, a negative $60 lunch experience. Finally tried BRGR and it's just alright. The service was good and our waitress was funny. The food, however, was underwhelming. I got the S&P burger with bacon, but they forgot to add bacon. The patty itself was dry and didn't have much flavor. I had to add a lot of sauce (ranch) to improve it. My friend got the Juicy Lucy which was obviously less dry given its name, but still left a little to be desired. The truffle fries were crisp but really didn't have much flavor. They needed to be heavily salted. For dessert, we tried their new-ish cookie skillet with ice cream. It was the best part of our meal but it almost had a burnt texture-- definitely not the best pizookie/cookie skillet I've had. Also, the happy hour is only available at the bar. The hostess didn't inform us of that when seating us and we didn't realize until after we were already seated and ordering at a table :/ Overall, the place is decent but I probably won't go out of my way to come back. I prefer other burger joints in the KC area and the parking situation downtown is too inconvenient to justify a trip. read more

My husband and I planned on eating here before a concert at the Sprint Center (so we obviously knew we would have to wait). They said it would be an hour and a half wait and we got in in about 30 minutes! It was a bit noisy but the tables are far enough apart you can still have private conversations. Our server was fast and kept our drinks full! I cannot say enough about how good their onion strings are..You have to try them! My husbands burger was fantastic and the Mac & cheese had great flavor and texture! Everything was hot when it hit our table and we have no complaints! This place is pretty good. If you want a good burger but want to feel fancy this is the place for you. Try the Truffle fries. Hella good. I had the Jalapeño Popper burger. It was good but I was expecting actual Jalapeño poppers in it. It was more like the cow had met a Jalapeño popper once and remembered what it looked like. It was still good, just not what I expected. I loved the vibe of this place when I walked through the door and once I did a little digging I figured out it was probably because of their sister establishments that I also enjoy. I ordered the burger that had the stuffed cheese in the middle of the meat patty and I've tried it a few years back so I remember what it was like and I think they gave me the wrong burger because I didn't find 1 ounce of cheese in the middle. We where in town for a week and decided to grab a late night bite . Stumbled upon this place and we weren't disappointed my husband had the Knob Hill and loved it , cooked well , tasted great and huge portions . I had the Fast Cow . Loved the coffee crust and the blue cheese . Not sure how I felt about the English muffin but all in all a fantastic burger . We also ordered a side of truffle fries to share but barely touched them the burgers where so big and filling . Jay our server was super friendly , efficient and attentive. One of the best burgers I had in a recent years! As it is my usual practice to check my fellow Yelpers' reviews out when I am in a new town, this establishment was #1 on the list in the area. Also, it was only a few minutes' walk away from the Convention Center, so it made very convenient for our group to get there, eat, and get back to our conference. Food and service were excellent. Our server was spot on, friendly and efficient courteous. I opted for house special, BRGR Burger (photo), and I was not disappointed. BRGR is located in the Power and Light district next to a few other great restaurants - Bristol, 801 chophouse, and Drunken Fish. It has plenty of room inside, a decent outdoor patio area, as well as a little bar area in the middle if that's your thing. Been here a few times over the previous few months both for lunch and dinner. The place can get fairly crowded for lunch, which isn't a surprise as the food is great (although pricey for lunch). Dinner the crowd dies down a bit, but still a great place for drinks and snacks. Food comes out pretty quickly (doesn't take that long to fry up some tater tots and pickles). Service is ok, depends on who you get. My last trip there I went with 4 other co-workers. Got tater tots, sweet potato fries, and cheese fondue to start. Everything was fried perfectly, sauces were great, and the pretzels were, big, soft, and delicious to dip into the cheese. Went with the 1/2 lb wagyu beef hot dog, was decent... Definitely a fork and knife type of entree. Not a big fan of how they did their chili-cheese, seemed to lack some flavor (then again, I'm from Texas), but the hot dog was delicious enough. We topped the night off with a fancy alcoholic milkshake that was really delightful. We recently tried this place again with our entire bridal party for dinner during our bachelor/bachelorette weekend. We did dinner as a group of 8 and we had no problems waiting on a Saturday night for tables. We all ordered drinks, and one of the guys ordered a couple of the chips and three dips, which were awesome. We all ordered our food and it came out pretty quick for a table of 8. I ordered the Number 3 with truffle tator tots, my favorite. And my friend ordered 2 sides as her meal: the onion rings and the truffle fries. The onion rings are a monstrosity! Huge! And delicious. 2 of the guys ordered the totchos and they were massive. Neither could finish them. It would definitely be my next choice to split with my fiance next time. We were all very happy with our meals. Bottom line: great burgers, good cocktails, and the fries/tots come separate, but you can definitely split the fries/tots. Come for the patio, stay for the tots. I have to say I had a good experience at this downtown location. I was never wowed by the Corinth location when they first opened and it led to some trepidation to try this spot. However a nearby street festival "Urbana" was happening outside so we thought it would be cool to hang out here and be a part of it. The patio is great! Great shots of downtown from every angle, people out... KC is going. It's great. We split a combo of tots and onion rings and the tots were the winner of the night. Crispy, hot, and very flavorful. One side was truffle parmesan and the other was a cajun aioli. The cajun seasoning had a salty, slightly spicy flavor but the tangy aioli made it a winner. The onion rings are comically large but they provide a nice sharp nice to cut that thing to pieces with. My burger was pretty good. I got the classic BRGR burger that had mustard, pickles, cheese..my kind of burger. However something in the meat seasoning is a bit off to me. I don't know what it is, I'm guessing worcestershire sauce, but it has this strange, overly flavored taste. Like a steak, I think a good hamburger should be seasoned simply with salt & pepper to allow all the natural flavors to shine through. While this is all in all about a 3.5 star experience, I bumped up because the service was good. They had ice teas ready to roll right as I finished, checked back often but not too often, and even when an order item got mixed up the server was quick to own it politely and get the new burger out for my friend in no time. read more

We were fortunate to have an extremely friendly waiter who immediately greeted us and made us feel very welcome.
