Chicken Cesar wrap was 1/3 tortilla and chicken was canned. Flavor was not good. Not worth $12.

I love the wraps, egg croissant sandwich and the chaga-chino. Great post surf treat. This is the place that got me into açaí bowls, which I'm starting to make more and more myself. I know the staff is super busy but for all the 30 + times I've been, they just seem like they're in a hurry and no time for pleasantries. Kinda like robots. I heard this place was supposed to be a great coffee joint so I had to see for myself. Due to the fact it's located in La Jolla in the busy downtown area, parking was scarce. I did not give up and found a parking spot. It is a cute little brick house that sells coffee, sandwiches, soups. Açaí bowls, all types of pastries and goodies for the discerning foodie. I decided to order an Iced Mocha which had big flavor to it with the chocolate inside. I had oat milk mixed into the Iced Mocha which made the coffee extra creamy and delicious. I ordered a bagel breakfast sandwich called a "Sunrise Sandwich." It had egg, cheddar cheese, tomato, and strips of tasty bacon. I enjoyed the fact that the cheese was not imitation but real and the bacon was top of the line. I decided to grab a Cranberry Scone too that was incredibly delicious! Tasted fresh and tart just the way I like. I also noticed they had beautiful candles to sell as well. What a neat idea for a coffee place to add such a home-filled touch. The staff was professional, efficient, and kind. I felt happy and home-based energy here! The food was just perfect along with the service. I did also observe the pricing was fair as well! Staff is very nice and friendly. But coffee and scones can use some work... Went here based on Instagram recommendation and yelp but honestly would not go back. The scones were the driest, tasteless scones that I have ever tried. And the coffee... I must of got a pretty bad espresso shot that in a single shot latte it tasted so burned and bitter, I was pretty surprised... Hopefully they can improve but I will not be going back once I am back to LaJolla. read more

One of my favorite stops in La Jolla. I absolutely love their (I don't even want to say because I don't want them to be all gone when I drive there). All their baked good are excellent and the coffee drinks too. I'm always greeted kindly when I walk in and the energy feels warm and welcoming. The shop is quaint and the restroom is adorable and spacious and clean. The only time I don't leave with a smile is when they are all out of my favorite treat. :( But of course, fresh baked goodies don't last forever. read more

Service is alright, prices are reasonable and affordable! You have the option between half a sandwich and a full one which is nice. I genuinely just didn't like how my sandwiches tasted. I expected the breakfast burrito to be more meaty but it was filled with greens and tasted bland, the biggest reason I personally didn't like it was because it had warm soggy cucumbers in it and because it tasted like nothing the texture was just overwhelmingly bad. What a cute spot to have a cup of coffee at a Sunday afternoon. I really enjoyed my Flat White and my husband loved his Cortado. If you've never tried their maple scones, you're truly missing out. The vanilla chai latte is heavenly, I find myself thinking about it on cold days hoping it were closer to me! The staff is friendly and cautiously wear masks and gloves. The sunrise sandwich in a croissant is a must, it's the perfect bite for a light breakfast or lunch. The ambiance for eating outside is great and you always see birds chirping outside and playing near the bushes. Truly, the perfect spot for a cafe in La Jolla. We stopped by this summer and the tables in front the cafe were crowded, so we saw the location inside. We have always love brick and bell, but the brick and bell inside is odd. The food is more expensive compared with the outside cafe and portions are tinny. We tried 2 plates and we didn't like either the ground meat nor the overcook wet chicken. Beans taste odd and dry. Chickpea salad was bland. Worst part, sugar free desserts. Tasted like artificial sweeteners a their sugar free cookies were dry and have the same bitter aftertaste. My friend joked about topping it with the jam they sell but the tiny jar, like 4 oz was like $8 or more! It said "sugar free" too so we didn't want to risk it. Don't know why they are changing their model, we used to love this place. They had unpretentious good affordable food. Sadly not anymore. read more

Super cute spot to grab a quick coffee and treat. They have mini scones for a dollar and they are absolutely amazing. The staff is always friendly and the food is always very consistent. Everything I have had from here has always been fresh. Maple walnut scone is my favorite as well as their chocolate peanut butter. Service was so rude I wanted to ask what a certain coffee flavor tastes like and was rudely questioned by the cashier as if I'm stupid for not knowing this flavor. Immediately decided it wasn't worth the coffee. Cafes should be warm and welcoming. There's tons of nice and friendly cafes in La Jolla and this isn't one of them. read more

The first couple of times I came to this cafe, I thought it was quite good. But, the last two times I was there, I've changed my mind. The latte I ordered one morning was just awful; I don't know if they were just too busy to care or what. Even Starbucks could make a better latte than that. My sandwich was delicious-- toasted sesame bagel with egg, bacon, tomato, and lots of gooey melted cheese (my fav!). I also had an iced latte which was heavier on the milk than I like-- I know it's a latte, but I could barely taste the espresso. My boyfriend got an iced coffee (a bit bitter when I tried it) and a chicken and cheese sandwich from the lunch menu-- which they generously offer all day long even though we went early at 9am. I can't believe I never knew about this place before! Just happened to be walking past and caught a glimpse of their amazing selection of scones. I knew I had to go inside and check it out. I am so glad I did! They have quite a lot to choose from - cranberry, chocolate chip, maple walnut, apple cinnamon, and almond. Best of all, the scones come in two sizes - large and mini - so they're perfect if you just want a nibble to try or, if you like them after you try them (believe me, you will love them), you're gonna wanna get the big one for sure! I got the cranberry and apple cinnamon ones (large - of course). The very first bite was perfection - tender, crumbly, moist, popping with flavor. I'm so disappointed with this restaurant. I received a gift card before the pandemic but didn't use it due to Covid however I went back earlier in 2022 to redeem it. I was told they switched gift cards and they needed to speak with the owners in order to redeem it. The owners were not onsite so they said they would keep the card and have someone reach back out to me. A week went by, then another week and still no call. I called 5 times to check on the status with the promise someone would get back to me. It is the beginning of June and I have yet to get a call back from anyone about the card they have in their possession. I have no idea why this has been so difficult but it is clearly mismanaged or they just don't care about their patrons. I will not go back or use them for my business as I have numerous times in the past. Oh and their sandwiches are dry dry dry. Cookies are good though. read more

Went here before heading down to the beach. It was busy, but the line was fast. The workers were the sweetest people ever. They have such a good menu, from açaí bowls, bagels, salads and pastries. We got 2 Caesar salad wraps and a lemon bar.. so good!
