The food was delicious. We could have eaten a gallon of the banana pepper dip. The "pita" that came with it was buttered pizza crust. So good. Our entrees were also amazing. The chicken and biscuits were savory and full of flavor. I would eat that again and again. The short rib pasta was creamy and super meaty. The noodles seemed like they were home made. Our waitress was super nice and made sure we were all good. We had a great time overall! Hope to be back soon.

Wood pizza was very good. Cooked perfectly. Very nice size pie. Toppings were very good. Service was good. Clean, comfortable, quiet atmosphere. On street parking only on Abbott and a side street. Didn't order them this visit but the wings smelled great at the table near by....

Arancini was under seasoned inside and crispy/chewy on the outside. Weird!

Service was great, restaurant was packed but the food wasn't really spectacular or anything I couldn't find at any other American or Italian restaurant in Buffalo. Again, it was packed so we'll chalk it up to just not my style. The biggest feedback I have is that everything was generally under seasoned.

I came here yesterday for lunch. Indoor dining is allowed again in Erie County and I wanted to catch up with a friend. I had a Michelob Ultra. They have many kinds of beer on tap and many kinds of wine. Unfortunately, they don't serve mixed drinks. I'm not sure if that's a new thing or if that's how they've always been. We came after their brunch time so we couldn't order brunch. We came before dinner time so we were told, except for the steak sandwich, that we couldn't order from the entree menu. That left us with soup and salads, appetizers, and brick oven pizzas. My friend and I split stuffed banana peppers and a Reuben pizza. The stuffed banana peppers were great. It came with more than enough mozzarella sauce to dip it in. There were only two peppers and two small garlic toast points. The Reuben pizza was fantastic. This review is five stars for the pizza alone. It was one of the best things I've ever eaten. It had a thin crispy crust with corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing on it. Order it!!! You'll love it!!! The service was okay. I came here about two months ago, the night before the last restaurant shutdown period. I treated two friends who helped me move. My one friend ordered the Reuben pizza. He loved it. My other friend ordered the chicken parmesan. She loved it. I had a dark beer, french onion soup and barbecue meatballs. Their barbecue meatballs were fantastic. They had a lot of flavoring and were so delicious. Their French onion soup is the best I've ever had. I was so glad that I ordered it. We had really great service. It was a young(er) server. She was enthusiastic, kind and efficient. I came here either last summer or the prior summer with a friend. We sat on the patio and had drinks and shared food. I can't recall what we had. The service was great though. I came here during lunch about 2/3 years ago. I met up with some former coworkers. There were 10 of us. They had us in a small side room for our bookclub meeting. I had a Guinness, the French onion soup and a Reuben sandwich. The soup was fantastic and the sandwich was great. I can't recall if the sandwich came with fries or chips but I really enjoyed it. We had a great server too. If you're in the mood for great takeout or a nice sit down experience, come check out this South Buffalo staple. You definitely won't regret it!!!

The restaurant has a number of more regular pizzas on the menu, but also a couple with their own twist. I decided to give it a try and ordered the reuben pizza. What a surprise that was. A nice and crunchy crust topped with plenty of corned beef and sauerkraut. On top thousand island dressing. A really great pizza! The service at the restaurant was okay. Waitress was attentive and friendly.

I came here with the family for lunch, and it was perfect. Delicious pizzas, sandwiches, soups, and beer! We started with French onion soups, it wasn't show-stoppingly amazing, but it was good! We also got the chicken wing soup which was amazing. It wasn't too spicy, the chicken wasn't tough, it was absolutely perfect. The beer list they have is very impressive, some of the more niche/hard to find stuff is there which was a pleasant surprise! We decided to split a couple pizzas and the steak sandwich. The sandwich was a bit spicy with the peppers, but I love spice so I wasn't concerned. The PIZZA though! We got the bistro white, mushroom, and margherita pizzas. The white was my personal favorite. It had the crunchy arugula, crispy and salty prosciutto, and the crust was perfect. The mushroom tasted more like French onion pizza with some mushrooms on it, but the goat cheese went so well with it I found myself loving that one too. The margherita pizza wasn't amazing... I thought the sauce tasted more like tomato soup than pizza sauce but it was still okay. All in all, the service was fast, attentive, and friendly and the food was pretty amazing.

Ordered curbside pickup during the Covid 19 crisis on a Saturday evening, order took about a half hour to prepare, we were instructed to park in their side parking lot and wait for them to bring the food out. I ordered a Beef Sort Rib dinner over wide pasta with peas and a Margarita pizza, both were excellent. The order took a few minutes longer than expected as they had a steady flow of vehicles picking up orders. Happy they are open for orders, one of our favorites. Will certainly return.

My friends in South Buffalo recommended Brick Oven Bistro as their favorite casual lunch location without hesitation! I enjoyed every single bite of my meal. My family and I split three pizzas: Margherita Pizza with prosciutto, Reuben Pizza (Sauerkraut, corned beef, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island Dressing), and The Mushroom Pizza with white sauce and goat cheese. Each pizza was delicious in its own way, but my favorite was the Reuben Pizza. I had never had Thousand Island Dressing on pizza and I really liked it! The corned beef was also perfectly flavored. In addition to the delicious toppings, all of the pizza crusts were cooked perfectly in the brick ovens. The buttery crust was thin and crispy, but not burnt. I will absolutely be returning to Brick Oven Bistro the next time I am in South Buffalo. It's a great place to go with your family or with a group of friends for food and craft beer! If you're not in the mood for tasty pizza, they also have sandwiches, pasta, Italian dishes and stir fry.

This is a busy spot for classic American favorites: burgers, sandwiches and wings. From my previous experience, I knew it's worth checking the menu beforehand. For someone who is trying to make healthier choices, but not salad, this might be a good idea. I remember the last time I had the Classic Grilled Cheese Melt. This time, to avoid beef, bacon, or fried chicken, I decided to substitute a burger with grilled chicken breast for an additional $1. The Frenchie was my choice. I asked for the included Bison dip on the side and added Grilled Cremini Mushrooms for another $1. I simply couldn't find any ready-made combinations that suited my taste. All the burgers, melts and sandwiches come with your choice of fries or tater tots. We waited longer than expected for our food. The restaurant started filling up after we arrived. There were a lot of takeout orders while the dinner rush was starting. They should have a parallel system in the kitchen to keep the dining room moving at its own pace. Anyway, my sandwich was good. The chicken was perfectly grilled. The mushrooms and onions were flavorful, and the provolone cheese was melted and delicious. It's good that I asked to have the Bison dip on the side. We enjoyed the mountain of fries and onion rings (we really liked the breading on the onion rings). The Mac and Cheese was basic, but classic and very tasty. Unfortunately, our feedback on the Steak Hoagie was not so good. It wasn't as expected - a juicy, Buffalo-style, meat and cheese sub. My partner said that too much spice rub made the sandwich salty and dry. It wasn't the experience of dripping, shaved steak covered with lots of melted cheese, grilled peppers and onions. There was none of it. It was dry, smallish and disappointing. Our server Kimora took good care of us. She was smiling, and made our stay very pleasant.

First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

After seeing his dinner though, I was kicking myself for not ordering food. Recently, I had the opportunity to rectify that and I'm glad I did! Around 5:30pm on a Thursday, I pulled into the huge parking lot (which looking at my first review, is now paved!) and found a spot pretty close to the main entrance. Walking in, there's a host stand straight ahead with a brewery to the right and the dining room to the left. I took a moment to wander around and came away impressed with how large The Ridge West Seneca is. Afterward, I found most of my group had been seated at a both right near the entrance. Cups and glass bottles of water were spread out and menus were laid in front of us. I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to order but looking over the menu, The Ridge has a great variety of food. Our waitress was great with our group of five, one being a (almost) two-year-old. Our waitress was friendly, personable, did a great job checking on us throughout the evening, I know I was at ease throughout the evening. After a few minutes looking at the menu, we all placed our orders and then sat back and caught up. As I mentioned earlier, it's very spacious inside with music playing over the speakers, some TVs playing sports, and plenty of people enjoying the evening. I've seen The Ridge advertise their outdoor patio and seeing it in person, it looked awesome! The turnaround time from ordering to our dinners arriving was very reasonable, what I would expect for a group our size. For dinner, I ordered their Rustler Burger (8 oz. burger topped with cheddar cheese, a couple strips of bacon, BBQ sauce, crispy onion strings, fried jalapenos, and siracha aioli between a toasted brioche bun), cooked "medium", with a side of fries and their roasted red pepper fry sauce. The burger was excellent!! A hearty patty, cooked to a perfect "medium", topped with nice, big, crispy pieces of bacon, nicely melted cheddar cheese and plenty of crispy onion strings and fried jalapenos on both the top and bottom! The siracha aioli was creamy with a nice spicy, slightly sweet flavor. The fries were cooked perfectly - not soft but not crunchy, perfectly crispy and nicely seasoned. The roasted red pepper fry sauce had a thick texture and great, almost smoky flavor. They have several other fry sauces to pick from so I'll switch it up the next time I come. The portion sizes here are excellent - I've been to other restaurants where their side of fries is... weak, but The Ridge West Seneca, between the generous amount of fries and the big burger, I was far from disappointed! For the price, between the excellent quality and great portions, I thought the price was in-line, very reasonable! I, and the group I was with, had a great experience at The Ridge West Seneca! Friendly staff, great food (both quality and portions), and a cool atmosphere.
