On an already busy Mother's Day, I know an 9-top arriving that late isn't ideal, but the staff couldn't have been more gracious. They stepped up in every way and made our celebration feel special from the moment we arrived. There is paid street parking in the area, so be prepared on a busy day to drive around a little. We were in the area and decided to come in for a drink on a Friday night. We got sat right away but it took forever for the server to come up to us. When she finally did, we just decided to get one beer (because we had somewhere else to go). Right after my drink came we handed them my card (which they took) 15 min later they came back with my card and told me to give it to another lady (my beer was done by now) because the person that took it couldn't charge me (okay...whatever) the next lady comes up and says we need to go to the front to pay because her printer doesn't work (clearly she wanted a tip) we went up, paid, left. I checked my bank statement the Monday after and they had charged me 3x. One charge was 4x what my beer was. Needless to say, I will never be coming back. There was also a loud group of drunk people right in the center of the place drunk talking to each other. clearly they also over sever here. Loved this place! Stopped in with my sis for a bite and a bottle ( okay 2 ) of wine. Our server Sarah is a delight. Great personality and so knowledgeable. She had great food and wine recommendations for us. The wine, formally the F bomb red, now just called The Bomb. Was so great! The vibe is eclectic, from the music, to the decor. I love it. The service was nice but the food was overpriced and not too exciting. I tried the "Bluesy Bacon" burger with a side of garlic fries and the potato and bacon soup of the day. Thank goodness it was a Thursday where their "Bluesy Bacon" burger was reduced to $20 instead of $28 because it is not worth it. The bacon was pretty limp and tasteless but the blue cheese was fine. My favorite part of the meal was probably the garlic bread that came with the soup. And I also think the soup is overpriced at $8 for a small cup that was about 3 inches wide. Garlic fries were fine, but they also got soggy with the oil from sitting on top of each other. I would be hesitant to go again, but they do have a lot of offerings. SLIDER A beef slider with caramelized onions, arugula, and a chipotle aoili - all on a brioche bun. It could have used more onions and it also came with some kind of vinaigrette that kept dripping. Eat this fast or it could get soggy! Overall, a decent little slider. CHICKEN TENDERS This normally comes honey-glazed with bbq sauce on the side. I asked for the sauce on the side. These are made of chicken breast. The outside was okay and didn't stay crispy so I can't imagine how it would be with the sauce on it..probably soggy. The honey sauce was also really thin so not sure how it would have coated the chicken. Overall, this was okay but I wouldn't order it again. MARGARITA (not pictured) Terrible. Didn't really taste the tequila but it tasted watered down with some bad limes or something. Older limes can sometimes be bitter tasting and it reminded me of that. You're better off ordering something on tap. ONION RINGS I kinda liked that they were thin brcause there were more of them for the table to share although it's less oniony. The batter stayed crispy though so that was nice! GARLIC FRIES Yum! Prob my favorite thing because I do love ny garlic! We went to this bar before a baseball game and the experience was great. We went back after the game and it was a completely different experience. My friends and I walked in and immediately were greeted aggressively and asked if we were eating dinner and how many people. And I looked at her surprised and I said, sorry my friends went to use the bathroom. (I didn't get to finish my sentence) And the employee immediately said oh, the bathroom is for paying customers only. And I said yes, we're getting a drink. A different employee went up to us asking if we're ordering drinks and I said yes, we're ordering through my friend at the bar. Then another different employee asked again if we were ordering something and again, I said we're ordering drinks through my friend at the bar. Then my friend came back with the drinks and the person at the bar apparently told her they don't have Hennessy, which is what she ordered. And she said really? We were here earlier and I had Hennessy. And the bartender said yeah, we don't have it. And my friend pointed to the very obvious bottle of Hennessy on the shelf and said, isn't that it right there? I ate and drank here for lunch before the Giants game today. They needed at least two more servers with it being game day. Yep, service was very poor. I felt bad for the two gals trying to cover all the indoor and outdoor diners. This is just poor management. The food and drinks were pretty good. I had a spicy Bloody Mary and the Mexican burger. Both were made darn good. The rest of the table enjoyed their meals and drinks. But it was hard to flag a server down to get another drink or ask for something.
