Update: we were told all reservations had to be seated first. So we logged in to open table and made a reservation and we sat immediately. Currently still waiting on that table available text... The place wasn't prepared for the after game day rush, they ran out of wings, fries and Mac & Cheese. Which is most of their menu. They didn't tell us about any of these things till after we ordered drinks and then weren't offered any compensation when our meals came with chips not fries like we ordered. No fault of our server as it was clear they needed more staff and she was juggling a lot in a very crowded restaurant. read more

My boyfriend and I have been here multiple times and it has only gotten better and better! We went on Friday night during happy hour, which typically is pretty busy. We have always had great service, but our service this time by Tyson was INCREDIBLE. We never waited on ANYTHING. He gave great suggestions, was super friendly, and even when our drinks looks remotely empty he was right at our table asking if we needed anything. Service is attentive. It's a bar. Food is good, but order accuracy needs improvement. Several meals in our orders were inaccurate and/or missing items. Server and food runner had to fix a lot of issues with our orders, but did so apologetically. Not sure if orders were entered right or came out of the kitchen incorrectly. Don't order the cornbread unless you are ready for breakfast or have an oversion to SUGAR! OMG, it was like eating a pancake doused in syrup (so excessively sweet it was basically inedible) and doubt Nashville (or folks from the south) would approve. Meats and sauces are delicious and apps are generous. So, focus on the apps and meats vs. sides. Also, if you're in a group with more than 1 check, expect meals to come out at different times and not together. Don't wait for everyone's food at your table to arrive or for the food runner to say they'll be right back with the rest of the table's food because your food will get cold and fast! Tip: Request to visually review the bill for accuracy/pricing. It's difficult to have the server recite your entire order through a mask in a loud environment. read more

We came here on a Sunday night. Parking was a little hard to find and there was tons of traffic. The restaurant was a little loud and the waiter took his time getting to us. That said they seemed to be understaff and he was doing the best he could. We had the BBQ and it was delicious. For the try it all, there was an upcharge for the corn, which our waiter didn't tell us beforehand. TBH it's not that bad BUT their champagne tastes like someone puked in your glass before they poured it. I have never sent a drink back, and i made sure the bartender poured that foul liquid down the drain. Our chicken and waffles had a different topping than what the menu detailed. 0/10 The surprise topping was too sweet and they put an excess amount on it so when you go to cut a piece, the sauce gushes out. Not enjoyable. Live music volume could be turned down a notch, i love belting out a good tune but i value my eardrums as well. This review could change if they convince me i'm wrong. I downloaded this app solely to leave a review based on the experience that I had here. Service was slow. They had a special for burger week the waiter said came with a beer and fries. They were out of the beer and did not offer a substitute. They brought the burger without fries. The waiter explained that he was mistaken, and the burger came with chips. They also had run out of chips, but I was told that this was a "complimentary" side. I had friends who ordered a double pour of whiskey on happy hour. Apparently single pours (1.5 oz) are half off, but "doubles" (2 oz) are not. The single would have been $3.50 and the double was $10. We discussed with a manager, who said this was what their business practice is. Needless to say, our group of 8 first time customers WILL NOT BE BACK. read more

Love this new spot in the Short North. Felt like I was in Nashville with the overall atmosphere and live music. Cocktails were amazing! We had the spiked lemonades and they tasted soo good. We also tried the Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese and it did not disappoint! Fully loaded with all the good stuff! Highly recommend this place for the atmosphere along with their food and drinks!! We catered a large outdoor party with Bristol Republic. It was absolutely delicious, and all of our guests asked where the meal came from. Brian made ordering for 40 people very easy, and made set up really simple once we got the food home. Super impressed with food and service. I have a food allergy and emailed with Brian prior to our visit. He had food specially prepped to accommodate my allergy. If you are in the short north and want some of the best authentic bbq in Columbus I recommend Bristol republic. We had the try it all y'all gives you a sample of most of there meats and it was all delicious. Enough smoke to let you know it was smoked for a long time but not over powering the meat. The waitress was great she recommended combining a saltine with pimento cheese a dill pickle chip and piece of hot link. I know sounds little strange but let me tell ya it was delicious. They called 15 minutes before the reservation to let us know they cancelled it because the party before us was staying later than expected. My family goes down to Short North a lot and we always try to go to Bristol Republic when Aaron Pape is working because he is an amazing bartender and person. He is always very friendly and very good bartender. We went there for brunch yesterday and even though he had not seen us in a week or two he remembered our drinks and our food right down to the changes we make to the menu items. I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant before. First of all, we have a reservation and get sat right in front of this guy calling out bingo. Okay, I can deal since it's a college town and how else will you fill your restaurant on a Tuesday. Then, we get a seeming new or in training server who barely knows the menu. No big deal, everyone has to learn sometime. When it's time to order, we can't get the appetizer we want because they're "out." Okay, we get the nachos which were actually awesome. New kid almost leaves without taking my fiancé's order and they're out of that too. In fact, they are out of every bbq meat except for chicken, but no wings... THIS IS A BBQ PLACE!!!! Walked in after a friend's wedding reception with my girlfriend and wanted to see what all the buzz was about! I was NOT disappointed!! Sam was my server (very friendly and accomodating!) and my girlfriend and I shared the pulled pork and the brisket. The food was to die for and the service was worth writing a review about. I don't write them often, but when I have high expectations and they are exceeded, I feel obligated to! After the meal we shifted gears to the bar and were made to feel like part of the family.
