Came yesterday but they basically were sold out of everything which made us very intrigued. It must be delicious! Returned today. This place is like a picnic at home. Nice area outside to sit, relax, play with the family, and eat delicious BBQ. We got the platter. Ribs were flavorful and tender. I love that they keep the self serve BBQ warmed. Now just like at home, expect things to be running a little behind, or running out cuz people be eating it up. Well that what it is like here. The food was great! We had the sampler platter of meat and it all was all tasty, good seasoning and tender. The sides were pretty yummy too. Matt was our "tour guide" and he was super helpful, friendly, and checked on us a couple of times to make sure we were doing good. And we were! ABSOLUTELY DESPICABLE! I have been a fan of Brody's since before they even had a grand opening. We would eat here frequently and get takeout to celebrate special occasions. Their prices were always a little on the higher side, but we were willing to pay up because we wanted to support a local business and the food was delicious. We've come here to eat 3 times in one week, just to show our support. Fast forward several months and several price hikes later and I will NEVER come here again. I originally was going to order pickup through DoorDash (I always expect to pay a little more because of service charges), but noticed the prices were a minimum of $6 dollars more PER ITEM compared to the prices directly listed on Brody's website. To save some money, I called Brody's and placed an order for pickup. When I went to get my food, the total cost seemed a bit higher than anticipated. When I asked, they said there was another pay increase and it is now $3 more. I said, but your website doesn't reflect that and the employee said "the website isn't updated, but I'm required to charge you the new price." This is unethical, to list one price and then charge more in-person "because the website isn't updated". That's false advertising and misrepresentation. It's one thing to continue to hike your prices, but it's another to not be honorable in your business practices. Yes, I know what you'll say, "if you don't like it, just don't visit", well, you're right. I won't visit here again and I'll be telling everyone else I know not to visit either. read more

The staff is pretty friendly and attentive to keeping the dining areas clean. I REALLY liked the smoked ribs! These were fall-off-the-bone tender and so juicy. They've got a ton of sides to choose from, but let me tell you, the cornbread surprised me. I'm usually super selective about cornbread, but this one? It's sweet, buttery, with that perfect crumb. Our first time here and won't be the last. We wanted to try most of the meats offered so we went with the platter and it had ribs, tri-tip, pulled pork, and hot link and a choice of two sides. We chose waffle fries and mac and cheese. You can add additional side for $6.25 (or two for $12). We added the coleslaw. Every thing tasted great. The meats were tender, smoky, and flavorful. My favorite on the platter was the tri-tip and my bf's favorite was the pulled pork. BBQ sauce, other condiments, utensils, water, and the to-go boxes are self serve. My two cents: the platter needs more of the pickled veggies in my opinion-- it needs more punch to break through the flavors of the meats so your palate won't get tired of eating the same flavors. Also the self-service station is right in front where you order so when there's a line to order it gets crowded in that area when you'd like to get sauces and stuff. Not sure where it would move but maybe relocating the sauce and utensils area would reduce the traffic there. read more

Our wait staff, Julian, was a perfect gentleman and kindly assisted with that and all the extra drinks, special drinks, sauces, utensils and water needed. Hats off to Julian. Just profound service. Cooked very well, not a long wait. The dim setting makes for soft and comforting place to eat and mingle.

We first tried coming to Brody's on Halloween night around 5pm and it was closed even though posted signs said 7pm, so we were a little bummed but finally made it back out to give them a shot. Parking can be a little difficult as the first lot is quite small but they do have posted signs for overflow parking in a lot just next door. There is lots of outside picnic table style seating however it was cold outside so opted to sit indoors and the indoor dining area isn't very big. Thankfully it wasn't too busy and we were able to snag a seat. We were instructed to look at the menus at one counter then move over to a second counter to order, which was a bit odd. We ordered the BLAT, Freeport burger and a pulled pork sandwich. Each came with choice of waffle fries or Cesar salad. Food arrived fairly quickly and everything was decent portion size. My son's BLAT was full of bacon, my burger had 2 juicy smash patties but still decent size of meat and my husband's pulled pork was loaded. No complaints at all on the food or portion sizes. I'm surprised my husband didn't even add BBQ sauce to his pulled pork because it had that much flavor already. A few small things I noticed, they only serve beer and wine. They do have a "cocktail" menu but everything is made with Soju and not actual hard liquor. Soda refills are free but the machine is behind the cashier so if it's busy, you can't self serve yourself your refill. And lastly, I really wish they offered platter options. They have for a family platter but nothing for single serve. Guess I'm just used to places like Buckhorn that have choose your own with choice of 2 meats and 2 sides. Maybe something for them to consider in the future. Overall, a bit pricey (but what isn't these days) but pretty good and for the most part, worth it. We'll for sure be back. read more

This place is REALLY GOOD!! We saw it in a social media site and knew we had to try it, after all, a good BBQ place is hard to find. The tri tip was really tender and the ribs were really yummy as well. We especially liked the Mac n cheese and cowboy beans out of the four sides we tried. The homemade BBQ sauces were amazing as well. The service was really fast, which was surprising because they were very busy. The mango mimosa was good and I have to admit just one got me a little buzzed. The ambiance is super cute too, country vibes with upbeat music playing. It was a little pricey, $110 for two plates and two drinks but the quantity and quality were good so I don't mind paying that amount for good food. Awesome job Brodys and staff! The place was super busy towards close with some sort of baseball team there. The lobby was full but we were just stopping in for a quick cocktail. The bartender matt brought us over to their new bar "the side door" it was called. Great choice. We did out the have $5 pint beers and $7 house cocktails available all day in the sidebar. Service staff were all very friendly and greeted us as soon as we came in the door. I got a "family-owned" vibe but don't know for sure. Food came quickly. BBQ was excellent. I've had 1 million pulled pork sandwiches from across this great country in my lifetime and Brody's is in my top 5 and best in California/West Coast. Baked beans are premium quality with large chunks of meat. Not too sweet, not too savory. Waffle fries were so tasty I ate all of them and I'm not a French fries girlie (usually not worth the calories). The table next to us got several items most of which they bought to take home. We know there is a time for music, but we haven't been able to make it for one of those days and we are hoping to catch it soon. Nothing on their menu disappoints. Our latest visit was for breakfast and we got the tri-tip omelet and morning burrito. The portions were generous and we could barely finish the food and the Vietnamese coffee was legit. Their pulled pork sandwiches and tri-tip have always been super juicy and well seasoned. The loaded waffle fries and cornbread are also well worth ordering. This is not a cheap meal, so you have to be prepared for a large bill, but if you are looking for good BBQ and a casual atmosphere this is the place to go in South Sac. *If you want tri-tip you have got to be one of the first ones there at noon, it sells out so fast with good reason. read more

This place is simply decorated, I was greeted right away upon entering. The lady who took my order was nice and helped me to figure out what items to order. The place was pretty busy during lunch time. Parking is kind of limited. The dining area seemed like a decent size and was pretty packed as well as the outdoor seating. The front seemed crowded with the bbq sauce station that you can serve yourself, merch, fish tank, and where you pick up take out food. Standing there just made me feel awkward with people walking in and leaving or people delivering orders to the table. The food was ready in about 15 minutes, also a heads up to the breakfast burrito lover's it is available until 1pm. The website or menu does not specify a cutoff time. All meats are available after 12pm. I thought when I called it was only for the dino rib but it's all meats. The food was piping hot and fresh. We ordered: 1. Tri-tip breakfast burrito with the salsa on the side - This had huge chunks of tri tip and the perfect balance of egg. The potatoes were delicious when eaten fresh or cold. If you warm it up too it doesn't taste rubbery or weird like some places. 2. Waffle fries - crunchy and perfectly seasoned. 3. Dino Rib - Lives up to the name. Delicious, juicy, and reasonably priced. This was a meal on it's own and I even shared with my husband. 4. Potato salad - big chunks of potato and well seasoned. I liked that it was simple and didn't have the extra stuff. Overall, the experience was amazing. This will definitely one of my go-to spots when in the area. read more

First off, i did NOT eat here. I ended up leaving. The place has great vibes and cool location. And even smelled amazing! I was there on a Friday at 5pm. I was disappointed in food selection. What bbq place does not serve brisket? Apparently they only serve brisket on Saturday is what i was told... kind of lame for a bbq spot, Then as i go to order something else, they run out of ribs! It's Friday at 5pm! So i go back to my table, and the people next to me have the tri tip taco and i ask them how it was and they say it's ok, and the fried cheese sticks had very little cheese in them. So we ended up leaving and going to another place. I write this in hopes of the owner seeing this, I've heard your brisket is good but shocked it's only on Saturday.. also why is the beef rib $54?
