I really wanted to like this place but I have to say I won't go back. $17 for a 'strawberry dinner salad' that was the size of a side salad with a half of a strawberry, no goat cheese, no pecans, no sunflower seeds. It was pathetic. Hubby had a quesadilla that was billed as 'blackened shrimp with grilled peppers'. That's not what he got. All the cheese was in the center and the 2 end pieces were dry. Shrimp was plain and no grilled onions or peppers. Not worth $18. Drinks were insanely expensive and the pours sucked. Manager took the salad and quesadillas off the bill so that was nice of her. Disappointing experience here. I've had a good time here before with friends, but after lunch, I was brought a check for $70 something. I gave my card. Was brought back a non-itemized check to sign after they ran my card for $95. I asked if I received a different tables check. He said no, that there was a technical difficulty adding something to the bill, and he added it later, without telling me the price of the drinks. I would've liked to have known that before I put my card down for a lower price. Of course we paid, but felt like other restaurants would have comped us for that mistake- as it was kind of shady to see a higher bill with no explanation until we asked and not itemized. We were greeted upon entry and seated immediately! We went during restaurant week so we inquired if they were still participating as the Restaurant Week menu was not provided. The dining area is kinda dark and gives an old tavern feel which is normal for downtown. We were given the menu and advised that they were out of the crab cake sliders which is one of the main items we wanted to try. I ordered the grouper bites they were fresh, hot and crispy and a good portion. My friend ordered the seafood nachos they were really salty. The meat was overly seasoned and the queso made it over kill. She switched to the Grouper bites! The shrimp tacos were bad. The tortilla tasted a if they came straight from the pack not even warm or toasted. It was two shrimp on each Taco with bag slaw..... The best thing out of the whole experience was the burger! The location is prime real estate but that is the only thing prime about our visit. The service was terrible we were seated right away but lunch took over an hour and a half. The food was cold when delivered. We tried the fish tacos and a fish sandwich. There were very small prices of fish in the tacos. The tacos came with pineapple slaw which sounds interesting but it was some of the worst slaw I have ever had. The fish sandwich was not worth the price. read more

My wife and I were in Savannah for a long weekend and we took the river cruise. I decided to get a beer at a beer on the river with a cool view over the river. I ordered an IPA and there was a great singer in the corner playing acoustic songs. There was construction going on, so we had to use portable toilets downstairs. Kind of stunk. Worst service I've ever received from a restaurant. 1.) We had reservations at 6:15 for only 6 people. We arrived at 6:08 and requested to sit outside. The hostess said we had two parties ahead of us. I told her we had reservations. She then said to me "at 6:15, it's 6:08." I said "ok, as long as we are seated by 6:15. 2.) The waitress did not put our food in correctly and the appetizers came out at different times. She admitted and apologize for it. 3.) we did not receive our food until 8:00. Several items were wrong, my shrimp tacos were cold, and two members in our party did not get their meals at all. So they requested it to-go. We watched several parties come after us, get their food, pay and leave before us. 4.) Still waiting for the to-go meals, we asked for the check because we had somewhere else to be. We all paid and after waiting for an additional 15 mins for the "paid for" to-go meals (which should have been eaten at the restaurant, but never came), I went to find a manger. 5.) I spoke with the manager and she said she would check on it and she never came back. So, we went to the hostess stand and told them that although we paid for two additional meals, that we never received, we walked out. 6.) I guess after we left the manager put the order in again, instead of removing it from the already paid check, because after checking our account the next day. We were charged twice for the two meals we never receive. 7.) The waitress was horrible, but since we had 6 in our party, we were charged 20% gratuity. Which we paid and didn't complain about. Unfortunately, we didn't realize it was more outside-bar/indoor sports shack, with constant loud music and multiple TVs. I had salmon, potatoes, and green beans. Salmon was overcooked, but at least it was warm. Potatoes and beans were cool, with the potatoes being overdone and the beans too undercooked to cut easily with a knife and fork. My wife's soup and salad were just okay. Every other restaurant we've tried during our visit has had very friendly, attentive waitstaff. Not here. After the meal, he came back to confirm each check and the items included on each. He returned with the checks, and had items on wrong checks and no gratuity added. After correcting the checks, gratuity was added. I have no problem with gratuity being added, but it sure seems like the checks that had to be fixed got hit with gratuity due to his error. read more

Went here for a bachelorette trip with a group of 9 for dinner. Our waiter did a fantastic job and handled the large amount of drink and food orders with ease. The food and drink were also great. Of those things, only the grouper bites were decent, except that most of the bites were better called bits. The fish and chips were low quality and the corned beef rolls just tasted "fried."
