They always have good quality and large servings. Pro-tip: the senior and early bird menus. We got two huge pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon for $10.95 (before 9:30)! Totally worth getting up earlier. I've been to a Broken Yolk before and my experience was not good. The only reason we chose to eat here was because Denny's wait was too long. This location, however, has redeemed the brand and I will definitely visit again. The service was better than excellent. Very attentive, polite and prompt. The food even tasted better than my previous visit. I had the Meat Lovers Omelette and it was delicious. The juice, unfortunately, was not fresh-squeezed and didn't justify its price as it came from a gallon. However the cinna-cake was the perfect treat to satisfy our sweet tooth! You need to be patient with parking since the cafe is located in a busy plaza, so it took some time to find a spot. I've been coming to this location for years, and I feel like it's gotten better than it used to be. Never really have to wait that long, if ever anymore and we usually get seated pretty quickly. Food quality I feel has gotten much better and always comes out pretty quickly. We never have to wait for our drinks or coffees to be refilled. I almost gave it 4 stars because the prices have gone up a lot, but Truth be told, I'd come here just to say hello to Fernando, who ends up serving us almost every time we come in. My sister and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast here! Even though the cafe was super busy (it's Spring Break) we got seated quickly in a comfortable booth. The servers were super friendly and attentive, and our food was cooked to perfection. The cafe was clean and nicely decorated, and amazingly not noisy, even with every table filled; we didn't have any trouble conversing with each other. Food portions are generous and super tasty. I feel the front desk area needs a little more training on greeting clientele. I got on YELP WAITING LIST leaving home. I was checked in by a young man when I arrived and then 5 minutes later was notified I had been taken off the wait list via text. WT Heck! I told a young lady and she immediately sat us. Miguel was our waiter and was delightful and attentive. Wife ordered the Mom Omelet and I ordered the Ranchero Skillet. YES, the Ranchero Skillet is quite spicy but can hunt down the serrano chiles in the mix and take them out. The Mom omelet was very good and healthy. The avocado on dishes were so delicious. I have been here before and have had the sopes Benedict which were delicious but I will say that this time around I tried the caprese benedict and it was amazing. I would say it's my favorite dish now, let's not forget about the hash brown. They were perfectly cooked and still has the slight crunch. Hands down 5/5 I highly recommend this place. I love broken yolk, been coming here since it opened. Never had an issue until yesterday. The food is great and great portion size. The customer service though was not. It took FOREVER to get drinks. We got food before we even got our drinks. Then I would have to ask the waiter for more water and more than once they forgot and I had to keep reminding them. On this gorgeous Saturday at our favorite campground at Sweetwater Summit, we decided to eat breakfast at a new-to-us specialty breakfast restaurant in Proctor Valley with off-putting pink decor but, when we arrived, a staff member brushed us off as if he were a Parisian maitre d' on the Champs Elysees. So, we immediately entered our name on the good ol' Broken Yolk Cafe waitlist. Then, we drove ten-minutes, parked and in less than five minutes, walked to the door and had a less than 2-minute wait. Though the restaurant was crowded we felt welcome and cared for. Our coffee and tea were delivered promptly. We ordered the Huevos Rancheros and the Eggs Benedict. Our meals were delivered in due time, hot and delicious. The environment was clean and we were not rushed to leave. We have no complaints. Highly recommend, as long as you don't mind the busy parking park and a slight wait. A good ol' standby restaurant is still a good thing. Dependability with no false pretenses. We came here for breakfast around 0800. There was a very loud cherry picker machine outside, so my family ran for the back of the restaurant away from the door. Unfortunately, we were told that area was closed. The music was a bit loud for us. We contemplated leaving due to the risk of noise induced migraines but decided to stay. My husband ordered the Sope Benedict, ($17.95) and New york steak and eggs ($24.95), well done, sunny side up eggs. I'd say a bit burned. We probably should have sent it back. Perhaps, medium well, would have worked better. We got the muffin that came with the steak and eggs, which my son liked. Our server Fabiola wasn't the greatest server we had.
