    So attentive to her customers

I come in here twice a week right when they open to order food to go. I am always greeted with a warm smile from the hosts, but one girl in particular release takes out. She says her name is BRIANNA. She is always so kind and has such a warm smile. I hope the management team recognizes my review.

Because the Yolk's on me You played your part perfectly Went to me Just a pretty dream... Nothing like Yolking around with the fam to start the day. 4/5 Food Food was good nothing that is out of this world. What surprised my wife and I was how large the kids meal was. Portions are large which is probably why this is a popular breakfast spot, maybe the mimosas as well. 3/5 Service When we arrived we put our name down and sat insids to wait. They had a lot of tables open and had people waiting (weird but okay). Once we were sat down we didnt have a server come by until a manager came by to ask us if we had been helped. He got our drinks started and had a server come by to take our order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good thing the kids had a menu they could color and keep entertained.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They must have been short staffed because it seemed like all the servers were all over the place. We were overcharged for coffees so had to have them remove one. 4/5 Parking [[HIGHLIGHT]]It can get crowded and hard to find a spot. Especially during the weekends it seems to be a club atmosphere with brunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (Dancing to put yout name on the list). Overall maybe next time we will have better service but we had a pleasant experience. Psalm 16:1, God bless

My daughter and I visited this morning for breakfast. I had the churro French toast and she had the cali burrito. Food was plenty enough for us to share. The churro French toast was bursting with cinnamon and a swirl of cream on top. The burrito was loaded with egg, cheese, avocado, bacon, and home fries. Both were delicious.

We had a wonderful experience at Broken Yolk in Glendora! The food was absolutely delicious--everything was fresh, flavorful, and served perfectly. The host was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Excellent customer service, a great atmosphere, and one of the best breakfast spots in the area. We'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic meal and outstanding hospitality!

When ANDREA server said that there was just a ripped on the seat after my wife cleaned if with wipes it came off.

We dined at Broken Yolk in Glendora today at 7:31 AM, and after years of coming here, this was by far the worst experience we've had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Andrea seated us, and my wife immediately noticed that the booth seat appeared to have syrup or some sticky substance on it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since the restaurant was practically empty, she politely asked if we could move to another table. Instead of accommodating a simple request, Andrea dismissed us and said, "It's just ripped, don't worry about it." [[HIGHLIGHT]]My wife then cleaned the seat herself with a wipe, and residue came off, proving there was actually something on it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What really upset us was that shortly afterward another family came in, and Andrea asked them where they wanted to sit. We were never given that option. The difference in how we were treated was obvious and left us feeling discriminated against as Asian customers. Management needs to address this. A customer should never be dismissed for raising a reasonable concern, especially when there are plenty of available tables. This is not how you treat loyal customers, families, or anyone who walks through your doors. Andrea's attitude was unprofessional, and this experience left a very negative impression on us.

I walked into this restaurant thinking I was going to get a great brunch experience with my family but was disappointed from the beginning. Waiting for more than 10 min to be greeted by someone. There were no employees in the front desk. Finally one of the waiters came and acknowledged me. I was standing there for a long time. I get my table and no one even offered or asked if I needed a high chair for my daughter, so I walked and grabbed one myself. The waiter comes back and takes my order and then I proceed to wait for my food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was not that special, just a regular restaurant and a bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Don't get me wrong. The food was great, but the customer service experience is so poor and unprofessional that made me not want to come back and eat here. It's truly disappointing that they neglected us and made us feel like our business didn't matter. After we ate our food I was waiting for the waiter to come back and give me the check. I waited for 15 min and nothing. If I was one of those uneducated people, I could've just walked out of the restaurant without paying because no one was even paying attention. But I have morals and I'm not going to do that. So I raised my voice to one of the waiters and asked if they can give me my check so I can pay and get out of there. After, I paid and they asked me for a tip. I left 0 dollars due to the sorry ass service they provided. I don't know if it's due to their shortage of staff but this is something management needs to take care of immediately if they do not want to lose more business in the future. If you want to have a great morning and spend some quality time with your family. Do not come here. Take your business elsewhere.

Classic Eggs Benedict and Chicken & Waffle Benedict with Hash Browns
    Fion L.

Broken Yolk Cafe is truly a local staple for brunch! We came on a rainy Sunday morning and were seated fairly quickly (within 10 minutes). The hostess was super kind and our server was very attentive, checking in with us often. We ended up ordering two savory dishes and one sweet dish to share: El Fuego Omelette: 5/5 The El Fuego omelette was so flavorful and there was a very nice kick of spice from the chorizo! The guacamole and pico de gallo added a refreshing twist and really elevated the dish as a whole. As for the omelette itself, it was cooked perfectly and there was a good amount of cheese, jalapeño and chorizo filling on the inside. This is honestly one of the best omelettes I have ever had, highly recommend! Classic Eggs Benedict and Chicken and Waffle Benedict: 4/5 We ended up doing the "Choose Any Two" and ending up selecting the classic eggs benedict and chicken and waffles benedict. The classic eggs benedict was delicious and was smothered in their creamy hollandaise sauce while the egg was beautifully poached to perfection. As for the chicken and waffle benedict, the taste was decent but we would not go for it again. We weren't a big fan of the hollandaise sauce and poached egg being paired with the chicken and waffle, and the waffle ended up being soggy at the bottom. However their classic eggs benedict is still a must try! Tiki Toast: 5/5 The tiki toast was so fluffy and grilled to a beautiful golden brown while the caramel drizzle on top added an additional depth of flavor! The coconut shreds on top were also not too overpowering and the berries scattered around the dish were very fresh. While the dish was already drenched with syrup the toast slices were still crispy on the outside. This dish is a perfect choice for those who have a sweet tooth! Overall, the experience here at Broken Yolk Cafe was a 5/5 on both food and service. The dishes have a fusion of different cultural foods and are very unique compared to other brunch places. The servers provide fantastic and quick service and I would 100% visit again!

too much food to even fit in one pic!

Tried something new yesterday since I wasn't super hungry, the açaí bowl, and it didn't disappoint. It went nicely with the tropical mimosa flight. The pear mimosa was my fav on the flight. My only complaint - how does a breakfast spot not carry peanut butter?! I asked for some on the side since the bowl didn't come with any, and the waitress said they don't carry peanut butter.

Celebrating with family, I was so grateful to see the vegan options on the menu. I thought I would have to order oatmeal but no. I had the Spicy Vegan Bowl with a side of sourdough toast. It was delicious and the portion generous. The service was great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]we enjoyed the outside patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank you Broken Yolk Cafe for understanding that not all families eat alike

Broken Yolk Cafe Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Broken Yolk Cafe

    Are they pet friendly?

Yes, they have a long patio where dogs are welcome.

Hi! Can you order sandwiches in the morning?

Hi Ariel, The full menu is available all day!

Are they open on Christmas Day?

    Until 1:30 pm

Do you have a Doggie menu?

Hi Taylor, We have some items that we recommend for our doggy visitors such as a beef patty, bacon/eggs, or a peanut butter cup.

Is there a baby changing table in the restroom?

Hi Randi, Yes, we do have baby changing tables available in our bathrooms!

    Is there a happy hour?

I would say that every hour there is a "happy hour" the way the staff act, but no, they do not have a happy hour. They are typically closed by late afternoon anyway.

Can you guys accommodate a party of 25 on the patio ? If so how would I go about reserving this if no one answers the phone?

Hi Brittany, Please send your request and information to our location's email Glendora@brokenyolkcafe.com. Our team will follow up with you as soon as possible, thank you!

Do they use real maple syrup or is it flavored corn syrup? Edit: it's flavored corn syrup, I just asked. It's rare to find a place that uses real maple syrup

Hello Dan, We do use a syrup that contains some corn syrup but we do offer agave or honey for a healthier option. Hope that helps!

Are you currently asking for proof of vaccination?

Hello Daisy, We are not requiring proof of vaccination but we are currently following the mask mandate. Hope that helps!

Can I take my dog with me out in the patio area?

Yes we just ask that they stay on the outside Patio and not walk through the resturant.

Given the new CDC guidelines, is there still a 5 person limit to the party seating? We have 7 are were planning to go tomorrow. Will we be able to sit together?

Hello! We went awhile back and we had 6 people and we didn't have an issue. Probably better to call.

Hello will you be using YELP Waitlist ?i t's so helpful & makes going to restaurants so much easier & more accessible. Not having it is a deterrent Thanks

I did ask about that when I was there, because there was still capacity limitations. I was told that there is a possibility, but for now there are using their internal operations system.

    Are dogs allowed?

    Yes! In the patio area.

How long is the wait, typically, on a Saturday morning?

30-45 minutes but they will put you on the list and tell you an approximate charge so you leave home a few mins before. We went last weekend. They gave us a 30 mins wait so we booked from home and left 20 later and once there and parked we were…

What is the current party limit?

They limit parties to 5 per table, but you can have more people you would just have to sit at different tables

    Still no bottomless mimosas? :/

No bottomless mimosas, but we have MEGA-mosas and mimosa flights!

    Do they accept reservations?

    No reservations needed!

Will it be open on 4th of July?

    Yes!

Do they take reservations? Will it be busy Christmas Day?

    They don't take reservations

    Is there bottomless mimosas?

    No.. but they're delicious.

This review is based on my visit on the morning of Valentine's Day…read more This place popped up on a search for coffee in the area. It was only a 2 minute walk from where we were so we decided to check it out. On the outside was a holiday themed drink menu and the Butter Me Up sounded like something we'd enjoy. It was a cookie butter latte which whipped cookie butter and a cookie crumble on top. It may sound very sweet but it was actually perfectly balanced and allowed the strength of the espresso to come through. The barista was very kind and patient with us. She also let us know that they were hosting a karaoke night later that day. We waited in the patio connected to the cafe for our drinks. It was a very lovely day so the sun and scenery was nice and peaceful. Definitely looking forward to another visit

I've been a regular customer here for quite some time and have always made a purchase when…read morevisiting, whether it's a coffee, Coke, or food. Today, my friend and I ordered a Coke and an ice water and sat in the lounge area to work on assignments. The café was far from full, with only a couple of other people in the lounge and plenty of open seating available. After about an hour, the owner came over and rudely told us we were "holding two tables over a Coke" and pressured us to order more. I understand businesses need customers to make purchases, but there is a respectful way to communicate that. What made the situation worse was that after I ordered a coffee, she immediately turned to my friend and basically stared him down with a strict look, clearly expecting him to order something too. I explained that we were going to split the coffee, because we're both trying to lose weight, but she continued making the situation uncomfortable. Staring down a customer and making them feel pressured to spend more money is not how you treat paying customers. What makes this even more frustrating is that the menu is already severely overpriced for what is offered. On multiple occasions, I've heard the microwave running while food was being prepared. Paying premium prices for what appears to be microwaved food is disappointing enough without being pressured to spend even more. Even though we only ordered a Coke initially, and have only done that once before, we were still spending money. As regular customers who come here often, you would think that would be appreciated rather than criticized. Be thankful people are still choosing to spend money at your business. Honestly, after today's experience, it's no wonder this place is often empty. Customer service and hospitality matter, and making customers feel unwelcome, guilty, or pressured to spend more is a great way to drive them away. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that I asked for my food to be packed to go and left. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. It's a cafe, not a 5 star restaurant. People want to come here to work on assignments or have a coffee and talk. Even though I didn't want to spend 9 dollars on a coffee, I still purchased something. Edit from her Google response: Now you guys see what type of owner she is by her response. Truly, truly a fake person, and we always spend money coming here (now she wants to lie and manipulate since I have her attention). I always purchase a coffee and more, and I have receipts to prove it. I do not use her WiFi for free, as I am not a rude person unlike her. I don't just order a soda like this owner claims; see my receipts on my credit card. My friend and I ordered drinks and were talking and doing assignments for about half an hour (while she and her waiter came up to us like 10 times to ask us to order, even though this is a cafe), even though we said we would order later. If you're broke, just say so, lady. Trust me, at this rate, this place will close down soon. Like I said, this is a cafe where people come to have a drink, relax, talk, study, or work on assignments; not a restaurant where customers are expected to order a full meal every time they sit down. We purchased drinks, planned to order more later, and were still repeatedly approached and pressured to order. Please do yourself a favor and stop lying to the public. I did not come here four times and just use the WiFi. I paid for the WiFi with my extremely expensive and disgusting coffee and food, which is shown below in the receipts. I did not buy $2 sodas every time. The receipts I attached are from my card, but on many of the other visits my friend paid with his card and spent just as much. So trying to claim that we were sitting here for free or only ordering a soda is simply not true. Now that I have proved you wrong in front of the public, I hope everyone sees you for who you are. You are a money-hungry liar! Lastly, you are right; you're not Starbucks. Starbucks would not treat customers that way, and I'd much rather spend my money at Starbucks anyway.Glad we're on the same page!

They have an awesome, well-thought-out menu. It's not too overloaded with options that I couldn't make up my mind (like me most of the time), and had everything for anyone who wanted a drink and a meal. Everything was ready in about 10 minutes. They also had comfy tables to the right of their entrance if we wanted to sit down and eat, or sit and wait for our pick-up order. Their breakfast burrito tasted great, I just wish it was just a smidge bigger for the price, especially since Azusa has a lot of huge burrito options for less of a wallet burn. Buuuuttt that may be because I spoil myself with huge burritos I can't finish when I want to treat myself. It still tasted great, though! Their take on the BLT was their BLTA with bacon, tomato, greens, and avocado, which I thought my fiancé would like, but he is much more of a classics guy and said he wished they made the classic bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwich he wanted with mayo. Its a preference thing, and we just have to try other things here! I definitely want to come back here and try one of their lattes again with cold foam this time, and one of their waffles!

First timer! I…read morefinally found the courage to try this place. Courage meaning I didn't want to make that sharp right turn into the lot as well as deal with parking. Anyways, I went earlier this week and when I walked in, there was shockingly no other customers there. I was greeted when and the woman asked me if I had any questions. The horchata iced latte is what caught my eye. And the $7.32 is what pained my heart. Definitely on the pricier side...but what isn't these days? I got my latte and I was give a cute pink heart shape straw. Its all about the details! The drink itself was strong in terms of the horchata-y taste. I didn't really taste any coffee (I don't even think there is any in the drink I ordered? Lol) I didn't try any pastries as I had already eaten at that time. Although I wish I would have brought a book to read and soak up the sun from the window. It was clean in there and peaceful. I definitely cant wait to go back and try another latte!

Ordered the ventana iced coffee with cold foam and it was just what I was looking for! Creamy and sweet but good strong coffee taste. Can I give this coffee 10 stars?!! This coffee is hands down the best damn coffee I've ever had…read morelocally. If you see this spot open, don't think...just walk in and order at the little kiosks. That part is self serve and super easy to do. I ordered my normal coffee beverage a cold brew and added sweet cold foam for $1 extra. When I tell you the foam changed my life I'm not even kidding! It's so worth it!!!!! This cold foam was so thick it could save your life if you fell down. If you had a leaky faucet at home, just order some cold foam and it'll stop that drip in its tracks. Like this cold foam can save on plastic and help the environment because it's so thick you don't even need a lid! I wish I could upload a video. Just go try it please. So good! It's such an unassuming little coffee spot next to a laundry place and Chuck E. Cheese in a shopping center that doesn't look like anything special. The interior is minimal with slashes of green plants, some of which are for sale. I haven't tried any of the other coffee drinks because I'm a creature of habit so cold brew is all I need. But if you're in the area, check this spot out! If you get to taste this magical brown elixir sent from the heavens with a touch of foam cloud goodness, you'll be so happy you did. Thank Ventana Coffee for making my afternoon the best ever!
