Ok I just left the broken yolk. With a lunch group of four. I make it a habit to eat at the San Diego location when ever in town and I don't have anything bad to say about it at all. Today was the second time that I came to the Glendora location. Our first visit had rather slow service and some of the food was cold . The staffswas apologetic . I also saw two orders delivered to the wrong table and five or more minutes later the couple at that table were able to let the waitress know of the error and I saw the waitress take the plate and deliver them to the correct table(that's gross and unprofessional) Today it took 50 minute to get our food,my border Benedict's sauce was not very warm,the CARNE asada was boiled and bland. In other words I'll stick to the San Diego location. and go to an other breakfast place just down the street on route 66 for a BREAKFAST. read more

The food is just fabulous, all of us did not have a meal that we were not pleased with, but in addition we have a great server that goes above and beyond and makes the whole experience delightful!!! My family and I waited over 1hr for our delivery on Father's day morning. When I called grub hub to check on the status they said the the restaurant couldn't fulfill my order and that they would be canceling. My issue is why they didn't contact me sooner so I can order for somewhere else and why would a restaurant just cancel a order causing a huge inconvenience to the customer without any explanation?? Mixed feelings about this place. The service was great...they even brought out a fruit/muffin platter because our food was taking a long time...nice gesture. BUT the food LOOKED much better than it tasted. The eggs Benedict was good but the English muffin was super tough. The multigrain pancakes were rubbery and grains were completely undetectable (people that order multigrain WANT to taste the texture of grains). I typically eat plant based and there were virtually no options without added sugar, oil etc. For the prices charged Broken Yolk should serve REAL maple syrup, real butter, and peanut butter w/o added sugar, oil etc. But a 3 for nice service. read more

Tl;dr Don't come on Sundays. Good food, but not worth the 1hr plus wait to actually have food in front of you. Normally a 20min wait to be seated isn't a bad thing, but after being seated it was (and I'm not kidding) another 20mins before someone came and took our order. We had one waitress stop by and got our drinks, but she turned out not to be our waitress and told us our real waitress will be with us soon. During that 20mins I was able to finish watching the semi - finals women's college world series thoigh. So I guess that's a good thing. UCLA had a 3-Run walk off to win over Washington. You know how they say 3 is the magic number? It was another 20mins before we got our food. I say 20 because that's when I stopped keeping track of time. By this point I was able to do my monthly budget planning with my wife. Again...the food is good, but we were 2 walk-by's away from going across the street to Alohaus for poki. Just go to Denny's. Recently opened back in November or December according to our server and it is still quite busy. We got seated very quickly and ordered. Tried a new to Glendora breakfast place yesterday. Hubby really liked his chicken & waffle eggs Benedict! I had perfectly poached eggs that were so yummy and a blueberry pancake that was tasty and fluffy. The staff was very welcoming and attentive! Only negative is the noise! This place needs something to absorb the loudness of all the talking! I mean, headache producing noise. If not for the noise, this would be a 5-Star rating. I remember I used to go to BYC all the time when I lived in San Diego. I was happy to hear when one opened up here in LA. BYC is one of the best breakfast places that I have ever been to. Portions are huge so it's great for sharing; prices are reasonable. The service here is great and the host and waitress were all very attentive. I had high expectations of this place because of my cousins and wanted to try it out. Once we walked in, there wasn't a hostess to greet us. They had customers but weren't busy enough to warrant ignoring customers. When we were seated, we were greeted by our super friendly waitress. She is the reason this place got any stars. I ordered the Border Benedict which came out warmish, not even hot. There carne asada was dry, the "salsa verde" was bland. The corn cake was sweet and cold. The only good thing I appreciated were the poached eggs. The beans formed a cold crust on top from sitting out. My son brought me here on New Year's Eve and the restaurant was very busy. It took 20 minutes to get a seat but it was worth it. They passed out free coffee and water in the waiting room that was a nice touch. We ordered the tiki toast and border Benedict. It was delicious! Food came out in less than 15 minutes which is much faster than other breakfast places I've been to. Service was excellent! The decor was also very nice. Prices are very affordable. Pretty good food but the wait was too long. Came here on mother's day at 10 am and the wait was 1.5 hours long. There were so many people waiting inside and some outside.
