Food is phenomenal &' presentation is good! The aesthetic of the place is cute. I don't recommend any of their drinks. The coffee is watery &' bitter, smoothies have ice chunks, &' orange juice is sparkling orange juice. Service is hit or miss. Had to wait to be seated because our hostess asked a busboy to wipe our table &' another employee came up complaining about a bathroom key. My hostess asked 3-4 times for him to wipe the table while being spoken over by the conversation about the key. The other girl who came up to complain then told the busboy to "wipe the f***ing table". Our waitress was blunt &' did not once smile during our visit. read more

We waited 45 minutes for a table of two to be seated. We placed our order in a timely manner, and then proceeded to wait almost a whole hour for our food to come out. The server was apologetic, stating that the kitchen was very backed up. I'm not sure what needs to change back there, but waiting two hours for an omelette and eggs Benedict seems a little excessive to me; will not be back. In the past two months I have eaten 3 times at Broken Yolk. My first time there I ordered the the Golden State Benedict and it was Awesome! The yolk was perfectly cooked it was as smooth, runny as it should be and the hot sauce was the crown jewel. It was the best breakfast ever! the second time I went I ordered one of the scrambles. it was tasty, filling, but not something I would order again. Monday, January 8th, I took my teenage grandson with me for a meal. he ordered the Açaí Bowel. ( he ordered this previously and said it would be like a smoothly). I ordered the Golden State Benedict. my grandsons meal camstaight out of the freezer.the banana's had to be peeled off the side of the bowl. the scoops of berries were frozen hard. My Golden State Benedict seemed like it came out of the refrigerator and put into the microwave for 1 minute. The home fries were fresh, but the eggs were cold on the inside and over cooked. the sauce over the top was cold! I would not serve this to my family. the waiter was gracious, and extremely busy, yet he got our orders correct and picked up our dishes and gave us the bill without any issues. We were looking for a new breakfast spot........ and I think we found it!! The place was crowded (on a Weds morning) but the bussers are super fast at getting tables cleaned and ready. We sat right down. The hostess asked if it was okay if we had a table (instead of booth). We said no problem but I thought that was very considerate. The service was great and the food was amazing. My wife had the Chilaquilled and I had the breakfast burrito . We shared a gluten free pancake. It was all great and we will definitely be going back!! read more

We went to Broken Yolk and the food is always 10/10. As soon as I walked in Ashlyn greeted us and got us a table super quick. She sat us in Maria's section and had some of the best food of our lives. My wife and I got that good good french toast. 11 out of 10 would recommend. read more

Tried this place for the first time today. Although they were busy, we got right in. The interior is large and open which makes for a very noisy atmosphere. The service was fine, but the food is expensive and mediocre. Two people in the party ordered omelets. The omelets are sizable, but the cheese wasn't melted in either one and the eggs were rubbery. Their "homestyle" potatoes are thinly sliced, undercooked, and oily with little seasoning. I had traditional Eggs Benedict with hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were crispy, but bland. My "poached" eggs were just shy of hard boiled and when I asked about it, I was told that is how they are normally cooked. Our server did offer to bring me a side of eggs which I declined. The ham is very sweet and when topped with an overly lemony hollandaise, the dish was unpleasant. All in all, not worth the money. read more

Ordered and picked up breakfast 10 minutes later. 5 minutes after that I attempted to eat it. Everything was cold. Blueberry muffin, ice cold no butter, dry as hell. Biscuit same coldness and so dry it crumbled to nearly dust. Fruit was juiceless and tasteless. Very disappointed. It seems that pickup orders are taken advantage of because they know we won't be there when we realize how horrible the food is. read more

Wait e an additional 30 mins for an online order. When it finally came out, biscuits were cold and hard, gravy was cold and barely covered my biscuits. Staff was not watching to go orders at all, they just sat on the shelf instead of calling out names so people could go on their way with a warm meal. Holy Cow, this place is the WORST! Not only was the service a complete failure, the food was awful - my eggs and muffin appeared to be microwaved from yesterdays menu. I am astounded on how horrible the eggs were considering the name of the restaurant is named after eggs! and the muffin was not baked, seemed like it was microwaved batter and half raw. I would have liked to complain to the server but the service was just not there, no refills on water, asked for hot sauce twice and it never got delivered, super slow in taking order and then bringing check and it was not very busy. A man at a table next to us was so frustrated, he slammed his fist on to the table and started yelling. I totally understood his frustration. I can accept 'less than perfect service' if the food is great, but this was HORRIBLE. Dont waste your money here! I wrote a review when this place opened giving it a great review I now have to take it back . I took my daughter there for her 22nd birthday for a nice breakfast . The girl at the front was very rude so you can see how this meal is heading already and we haven't even been seated yet . So we finally get to our table and 10 minutes later our waitress decided to come over and help us . By then we already knew what we wanted . We gave her our whole order . Another 43 min later we received our order . Took 22 min to get a refill on my coffee. Neither did my daughters finished their breakfast and actually one of them didn't eat any of the French toast because she said it tasted like plain dough with butter on it . She did enjoy the crispy bacon and her hot chocolate. I had the eggs Benedict and it was edible and I will leave it at that ! Over all this place was horrible and we won't be returning again . Franchise food and horrible service !! I don't recommend this place at all and please disregard my past review from months ago ! read more

Weekends are busy as expected but great find during the week as well. Suprisingly efficient with all the covid precautions in place. The food is fresh and unique. The sope Benedict is out of this world. Hash browns are crispy and well seasoned. Our server Lisa is knowledgeable and fun and remembers us each time we're here. Had a very good breakfast here! I got the Fiesta burrito, big, great green sauce and outside of the tortilla very keto. Really good! My wife had the monte cristo which was also excellent. Went on a busy weekend morning and it's great that we could check in ahead of time. Menu looked amazing. Food arrived to our table lukewarm at best for several of our party. Pancake was simply cold. It took a while to get our order so we didn't feel we should send it back at that point. Eggs Benedict was tasteless to be honest. The Hollandaise sauce lacked any flavor. A couple dishes ordered were good. One of us ordered a latte which we never got and our server, while very nice, didn't notice because she never checked back. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Monte Cristo...really? It tasted rancid and that is stating it mildly. The chicken vegetable soup must have missed the chef's pass altogether because there WAS NOT ANY chicken in it AND it was stone cold. In fact, if I didn't know any better I would have thought it was the "weight loss vegetable soup." However, that is way too generous to even compare them to one another. Moving on...Biscuits and Gravy...this was the moldy cherry on top. There was only ONE biscuit - NOT BISCUIT'S and the gravy?!?! You can't really call it country gravy. I have tasted better "country gravy" in a frozen dinner...back in my college days. Fruit bowl...hmmmm...was this fruit  meant to be donated to Zoo BoisMonte Cristo?!?! We just discovered The Broken Yoke about a month ago and what a discovery! On our first visit my husband and I had their split flavored Eggs Benedict. It was incredible and I practically licked my plate clean because the unique hollandaise sauces made them so unique! The second time we went my husband had the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and I had the Avocado Toast with poached eggs, both winners. Next time we are going Mexican and trying their many versions of Mexican breakfast delights! It's a great restaurant with cheerful servers! read more

My family and I were very excited to try the broken yolk cafe, and unfortunately I will not be back. We did get seated quickly, but once we got seated and our waitress came to take our drink order my husband saw that they had espresso on the menu so he asked for an americano (which is 2 shots of espresso and hot water) and the waitress looked completely clueless to what that was.. She said "we don't have that here we only have lattes".... I think she was confused so we just ordered drip coffee, and a latte then she comes back 15 minutes later and tells us "actually our espresso machine just broke" we came for breakfast and coffee.. And I understand things happen but for a place that's supposed to provide something like coffee in a breakfast establishment it was weird. So then we ordered food and we all said "if this food is great then it'll make up for everything else" food was good, not great. Our hash browns were VERY over salted and the potatoes didn't feel like they were fully cooked through. Over all not the best breakfast/brunch place and won't be back. read more

The food was good. What wasn't good was calling at 8am for a 10am reservation and the hostess telling me they don't take reservations. I was fine with that except that when we came in to eat, others had reservations. When I questioned the hostess about this she replied, "We don't take reservations, but we do have a waitlist." When I suggested they let people know that when they call for a reservation, because I would have loved to have put my name on a waitlist, she got snappy and said, "Do you want me to add you to the waitlist now?" Super rude and unprofessional. We waited our 30 minutes for the table and thought the food was good, not worth the attitude. read more

Finally made it here after reading all the good reviews, but left feeling underwhelmed. It wasn't all that busy, but we still had to wait for someone to offer us water and coffee.I ordered sausage and eggs, hashbrowns with gravy, and toast. Just a standard breakfast. When the food arrived, the eggs were overcooked, and yet were still ice cold. The server was very good about it, and got more eggs right away, but again, they were overcooked, and somehow, after supposedly being just cooked, they were no better than room remperature. I order my eggs over medium, these were almost hard. Worst of all was the gravy. I judge a breakfast spot on the quality of the gravy, and this was awful. No sausage, or even a taste of sausage. No taste at all, in fact. Nothing but flour. The only bright spot was the sausage itself. There are lots of good breakfast choices out there. Broken Yoke needs to up its game. read more

We were quoted 45 min and got put on a list u have access to from the phone. We were passed up multiple times and kept being told we were next but never were seated. The app said 1 minute for about 40 minutes. Ended up being 1 hour 15 minutes and never sat. We left and can't say I will come back. Super disappointed in the service. read more

my family and I have been going here for the past few months! i now bring in all my family and all my friends. It is our go to breakfast/ lunch place. I could say it's just the food, but it's not, it's not just the mimosas, it's the people. when we walk in the door they know us by name. From Ashlyn, at the front door, to our favorite server Maria, we have the best time every time. I have eaten here before and been quite happy with my meal and the service. Today however, was less than stellar. And to compound bad to worse, there was no apparent interest from management that the meal was poor. Granted we were with a larger group and it was just as things were opening, but there is a significant difference between eggs over easy and over medium and med rare steak coming out well done. I would prefer to air these issues with a manager in person or contact through the website. Neither option was available, so here we go. read more
