Forgot to get a picture of our food but it was so good!! The portions for brunch were spot on and we joined the waitlist on here so we didn't have to wait at the restaurant. I was told to come here by a friend and I am so glad we did. I will absolutely come back! I had the hash skillet and it was good but I wish they put more hash on it. The Bloody Mary flight was also good, but they took the menu and didn't explain them or let us know which was which. Probably won't get that again.

Biscuits and gravy w/ sausage links and fresh fruit.

Friendly service, generous portions. Best biscuits and gravy I've had in a very long time! We were in town for a long weekend and wound up coming here two days in a row.

This was my second visit to he location. My first visit was just so-so but we were starving due to having to fast for labs and Broken Yolk was near the lab draw facility. We had to wait to be seated as the hostess was feverishly trying to set up multiple tables by herself for a large party; it was a little uncomfortable to watch her trying so hard whilst many co-workers stood by as she was setting up everything up. We were finally seated and quickly received service. This feels like an IHOP inside almost...just a standard breakfast place motif. I ordered the Rancher omelet with home fries and an English muffin. Husband ordered a pancake short stack. Food came out relatively quickly and looked visibly delicious for the most part. The Rancher is full of bacon, homefries, green bell peppers, tomatoes, green onions and topped with sour cream. It was very dry and was overwhelmingly full of green peppers to the point that I couldn't even taste bacon. The omelet is begging for some cheddar cheese inside. I could only manage to eat half of it, after dousing it in ketchup. The home fries were barely cooked and woefully under seasoned. I would have loved to taste a roasted onion flavor with a crispy outside to these potatoes...none of which was found. The highlight was the English muffin which was delightfully toasted, fluffy and quite delicious. Thankfully hubby gave me more butter for the English muffin off his pancakes which elevated it to buttery. His pancakes looked amazing...fluffy, golden and hot...but they tasted like they were tangy? Almost like the buttermilk was "sourer" or something. He thought they were "fine" but couldn't finish them. It was $30 for our meals, without drinks. I would say for that amount the food should be good enough to come back. This place will not be a place we will seek out, unfortunately. There are some amazing breakfast and brunch options at a lower price point. Service was very friendly and attentive, which is why I felt bad giving Broken Yolk Cafe anything less than 3 stars.

Wonderful spot for breakfast! Quick service and amazing food. The mimosa flight was a highlight too!

This Griddle is located at McMillan and 10 Mile, in the same shopping center as The Broken Yolk. Tucked in the corner, it has lots of windows, providing a nice view of trees and grass from the inside. There is also an outdoor patio that looked inviting. The inside is much the same as the other locations. High ceiling, a mixture of booths around the perimeter and tables on the main floor. There is counter seating as well. I'm not sure about the other locations, but this Griddle has the sound dampener squares in the ceiling that, in my opinion, probably keep the noise level down and make it easier to talk. This morning, Thursday, it was seat yourself. We chose a booth toward the back. Our server, Valeria, was excellent. She kept our water glasses filled and a warm up of my coffee before it got below 3/4. She was nice and attentive. A great server. My wife had eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, and toast. I had the Veggie Lovers omelet, hashbrowns, and toast. My wife enjoyed her entree, and I tried the maple sausage and it was tasty. We both ordered our hashbrowns crispy, and the top was nice and brown. My omelet was just OK for me. a few artichoke hearts on top, with spinach, mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes inside. The onions were chopped into fairly large chunks, which I don't really care for. I felt it lacked flavor, despite me salting it, twice, and putting salsa on top (not spicy). They give you one piece of toast, which I actually like, because I don't need to eat too much bread. I don't think I'd order that omelet again. All in all, my first visit to this Griddle was very nice and we will certainly be back.

I'm not really in favor of having to give your cell phone number to feed into their app so you know when your table is ready, but there you have it. The inside is pretty cool if you are into that "converted warehouse" feel of exposed beam crossed with a country kitchen feel. Tables aren't crammed together, definitely a sense of space. There are booth options as well. And as I prefer, no TVs. There were 2 groups of 14 that were served during our visit, so they can definitely accommodate larger parties. Our server rarely checked in, took 10 minutes to refill coffee after we requested a top off (she forgot), and never ended up refilling out water. The coffee we did get was good though. As always, I'm a hollandaise connoisseur as the foundation for perfect Benedict - my go to breakfast item. So I asked for a sample before I ordered, and I'm glad I did. The Griddle's hollandaise was curious. It was clearly about 25-50% powdered mix (which tastes like nasty beef gravy) with the balance being added clarified butter and a very strong dose of lemon. It was marginal, but good enough. So, I went with the crab cake Benedict. The crab cakes were a bit "fishy," so the strong lemon flavor was a plus. After flagging down our server, I requested a new poached egg as one of them arrived hard boiled. (I want runny yolks as hard boiled are too chalky for my taste.) The replacement egg was delivered very quickly. My guest had the banana Texas french toast special with added bacon and scrambled eggs. Bacon was nice and thick, nicely cooked. Scrambled eggs are pretty much just that. The french toast did have great body to it, but I'm not a huge banana fan. Still enjoyed it though. I would consider this an option for a revisit.

When you walk in, it overwhelmingly smells like old urine, damp and dank. They also have tons of Torani syrups so basically commercial flavors, nothing house made. The mexican mocha is not even made with mexican mocha cubes but "powder." They say have nitro but it's not on tap, it's with ISI canisters. It's also not budget friendly. They do have lots of seating options and the outside patio is great. Terrible parking lot and even harder to get in an out but that's par for the course given how hard it is to drive in Star with so much traffic and not enough street lights. Their sign even blocks left turns out of the lot so seems easy to get into an accident. The lot is a huge dip. Although I was there on a weekday afternoon for a few hours, I observed it's moderately popular and people were on Teams calls. Given the limited options, I guess thats why? For now, it's terrible coffee with a bad smell and annoying parking lot. I'd rather drink the burnt stuff down the street at Starbucks which is clean or the burnt coffee at Sea Salt which at least comes with great desserts.
