Broken Yolk is a family favorite - go so many reasons! The food is great, the drinks are fun, but it is the service that makes it stand above all the rest! We are there at least 3-4 times a month...and it never disappoints. I have to give it to Jamie!!! She is so sweet, friendly and fast. She remembers us every time and always has the most kind words for my kiddos as I. I don't know that she ever has a bad day...if she does...you would never know it! Her smile lights up and room and she makes you feel you're the only one in the room (when in fact it is always packed). In today's world, this is what makes the difference. Such a disappointment. Scrambled eggs not freshly scrambled. If you want fresh eggs, request poached or fried. There omelets are 4 egg omelets. I wanted a 2 egg ham scramble a la cart. Horrible service. Our waitress only came to the table a total of three times while the restaurant was basically empty. Once for drinks and order, bring food, and for the check. The food was mediocre at best. Barely any seasoning and just bland. My wife's water and mine remained empty our entire stay and was never even asked if we wanted more or how the food was. That's why only 3 stars, the service was a big fat 1 on a scale of one to 10. after 15 minutes of sitting with a menu and water (that was given upon seating) the waitresses we wandering around then back behind the counter and seating area. Loaded a blah blah. So I stand up. All 3 girls look right at me I wave them sit. 5 more minutes. So I said hey and dwarves again at one waitress who ventured out to the floor. And she just snubbed me. So I said ok lets go and the waitress who was taking an order for another table said have u been helped? she then took the Oder and only came back two minutes after the food was delivered and said everything good? This was our first time here. A friend recommended it. I appreciate the social distancing measures and masks however our server was wearing her mask below her nose and took it off every time she went behind the server's area. I'm sorry but there is just no excuse for this in our current time. I wear a mask and shield for 10+ hours, it can be done. Now on to the food. It was very good. We had stuffed French toast with eggs and bacon and a Monte Carlo. The chia latte was good but pricey and the Bloody Mary was ..... weird? It had a lime taste and was very heavy on the pepper. Ordered food for a take out order, waited 45 minutes for my order. Finally asked if my order was ready and they were very confused about my order. They finally came out with 2 bags of food and said I was good to go. Drove all the way back to my house and discovered this was not my order. Drive back the the restaurant and let them know order was wrong. I heard people sitting up at the counter complaining their food was bad and even heard one guy say "horrible". Not a destination. It's a last resort type when all your faves are packed. Their hash looked like it came out of a can/ flavorless. The sausage gravy was missing....sausage. If you like average at best food with great service by all means do go. It's bright and airy and noisy. Too bad. read more

Today was the second day I came to The Broken Yolk. Yesterday (Saturday) at 7:00am it was fine. It didn't blow me away, but did not have anything bad. It was just an average breakfast, but super close to home. We were excited to have a place close to the house and I wanted to bring my wife and kids for the first time. We usually drive 15-20 minutes to "The Griddle" but thought this would save us time!! Haha. Boy was I wrong. We rolled into the parking lot right after church, and made it there at 9:26. We went up to the host stand and she said it would be 25 minutes. It was a little chilly and we had our two girls so we waited in the car. I received a text saying that our reservation was made and they would text when it was ready. We waited 30 minutes and did not receive a text so we went up to check on how much longer. The person taking the reservations said "25 minutes" my wife said "oh, you told us 25 when we checked in 30 minutes ago." She apologized and said "yea they weren't keeping me up to date on how long the wait is". We debated leaving, but felt already committed. After we got back in the car and noticed the text they send has a link you can click on, and sure enough after clicking, it said "25 minute wait." We hung in the car and waited until it hit zero, then negative 1, negative 2 etc etc all the way until -22. We waited a total of 72 MINUTES when they told us 25. We weren't thrilled but thought if we could get out quick we could salvage. We sat down and got ZERO acknowledgment from a server or someone with water. We finally stopped someone after about 5 minutes and said "do we have a server!?". She looked confused and said yes. She brought over a nice gentleman and he realized he had forgot us and apologized. No worries but we have been waiting and are ready to order. I wish I could say that was it but it wasn't. The wrong table's food got brought to us twice and we literally didn't get ours for close to 45 minutes. Our server was nice and our food was average. I really hope they pull it together. I know it's the first weekend but it was a rough experience today. We pulled in at 9:28 for breakfast and pulled out at 12:10!! . I have never experienced anything like it with counting on a 25 minute wait. The manager or GM never once came over to apologize but the waiter did comp our meal. It would have been much quicker, to drive to the griddle!! We will try again because it's close, but this was a bad bad experience. We have loved going here every weekend! The hostesses and waitresses are incredible. My husband and I are always impressed with the quick delivery to table, the customer service, the food, and the teamwork atmosphere (someone is always going around with water and coffee and the manager always visits the tables). Also the menu knowledge is great. However, we recently took our friends there and were a little embarrassed because the service was not good. Our server was a tall gentleman with shaggy brown hair. He didn't fill waters, didn't pre bus without being asked (even then he'd take only one dirty or empty item off the table). He took his time to fulfill any request such as more napkins or more water and when walking around the dining room I've never seen any other server walk at such a leisurely pace. As mentioned before, we have always received amazing service here which is why I still give 5 stars! Just hoping the "bad eggs" get filtered out. read more

The food was fine enough. The one thing that sucked was the service. We had the worst wait er on sunday, the 21st of march around 1pm. We had to slip our party in 2 tables cause it was busy. Ordered our food. It took a while cause it was busy but the f*ck boy waiter came to our table to ask us what each of us ordered to give is the bill, even though our food had not arrived yet. We got our food and ate. But near the end of our meal the same waiter came to take away EMPTY plates, but he still took away my plate that still had chicken on it without my consent. He attempted the same with another person at our table but she was quicker at stopping him. Them we even told him that one of our party had a birthday that day. He walked up and said "Heres your birthday muffin" and left. But not 5 min. Later, we hear the staff singing happy birthday to another table! This is unacceptable and I would not recommend this cafe to anyone. read more
