I was a little disappointed that another table received a birthday dessert and we didn't, but I don't eat regular ice cream anyway, so I let it slide. Still, it would've been a nice touch! The food was delicious and the portions are HUGE! The pancake is literally the size of the plate, and the Greek egg white omelet is always a win for me. Unfortunately, our food was under seasoned and the avocado on the Wife's toast was really oxidized and just not looking that appealing. I went completely different and tried the chicken and waffle Benedict which was wasn't bad and would have been better with proper seasoning. The coffee is solid. The real standout is the staff. Super friendly, lots of hustle, and proactive problem solvers. Our server, took the Wife's toast off the bill, which we appreciated, as she agreed that it didn't look that great. First time coming in a very long time. The hostess was very nice however once we were seated it all went downhill. The waitress came and took our drink order and said she'd be back in a few minutes to take our food order. It then took about 20 minutes to get our coffees & that the waitress didn't return until another 10 minutes to take our food order. Other parties who arrived at the same time and after us had their food or had already left. When our food came out another long while later the order was all wrong. Mine was wrong so it was sent back (onion allergy and it had onions, but no cheese). Another 20-25 minutes and it came out, but the other two people with me were already done eating. The 'manager' only came over to say they were remaking it, did not even apologize! Not a way to run a business, but a great way to lose 3 weekly customers!! The restaurant was very comfortable and clean but again I can't say enough about how good the food was Donald Trump. I think I had the lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes so good with warm syrup on top. Oh my goodness I couldn't eat them all. They were so good. We didn't realize from looking at the online menu and reviews how much this placed would seem like a Denny's. The service and vibes were exactly like you sat down at one. I must have just ordered the wrong thing... my croissant sandwich was disgusting, just so much shredded cheese that wasn't even close to melted completely ruined the admittedly great aioli sauce and croissant. So disappointing. Update: I went back and ate at the restaurant this last weekend and it was a much better experience. The wait staff were nice, and my food and drinks came out pretty quickly. I got the chicken and waffle Benedict again and it was like eating a totally different dish. I would definitely order it again. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the hash browns were cooked crispy(which I asked for). The mocha latte I got was a little less flavorful than I had hoped, but I've certainly have had worse from similar style restaurants so I would give it a passing grade. Second visit here, it was busy at 0900 on a Tuesday. It is Seniors discount day. We sat at a booth, which was a bit tight for two of us, the booths need to be roomier and not have the table pressing against both occupants. The waitress was very good. Plenty of time to read the menu. I ordered the chicken and waffles with eggs Benedict on top of them. Also a side of hashbrowns. I love eggs Benedict well the eggs for mine were cooked way too hard. It was more of a soft boiled type of yolk and the hashbrowns even though I asked for extra crispy were just crispy on one side and then very thick and cold. My wife had hashbrowns with her meal and they were ice cold. The butter wouldn't even try and melt when the waitress came by to check on us quickly after we received the meals advise what was wrong and she quickly took the hashbrowns away and my plate and returned astonishingly quick with a completely redone entrée for me. The eggs were cooked properly on the second try and delicious. Everything was hot hashbrowns I think they added a little bit More. We did not receive our original plate back. they actually re fired everything so with the second attempt, I enjoyed the meal thoroughly. The waitress is very quick to check on us again and finding everything was good. We enjoyed our meals. My wife had pancakes. They basically had chocolate pieces melted on top. She said the pancakes really weren't that good she only ate a few bites but enjoyed her over Easy egg, and hashbrowns. The waitress really saved the day saved the meal for us. Certainly did a great job. Unfortunately it took two tries from the kitchen. We will go back. I will give them another try. The senior discount was eight dollars on a $50 meal. I feel the weight staff has so much to do with how much you enjoy a meal and our waitress was good. The chicken was very tasty moist seasoned very well and crunchy on the outside. The waffle was delicious. All eaten together was very very tasty. I would order chicken and waffles with eggs Benedict again the hashbrowns were OK.
