We went on a busy Saturday, for brunch. We added ourselves to the waitlist only minutes before arriving. But, amazingly we're seated quickly. Our server came over, who was SPECTACULAR (I wish I could remember her name. She was an older woman). Very knowledgeable able the new addition to their menu, Smaller-Side. I ordered from that. Definitely not too much smaller than a full portion, but whatever. Obviously decor was typical of any chain dining establishment. We will be back, simply because the staff have been cool and the food is always yum for us.

Looks like it's been 8 years since I last reviewed Broken Yolk! Time for another one! Came in super early today on a Sunday and had a great experience! My server Thomas was super on top of it and friendly! The food was delicious! I had the "mom" omelette with green peppers, red peppers, mushrooms, spinach and avocado! The eggs and vegetables were cooked perfectly! Had the hash browns ant tortilla to make it compete. Add my cup of coffee and it was an excellent breakfast!

We love coming here. Always greeted with a smile! It's not knock your socks off food but it's consistent and it is good. I got the meat lovers omelette today which was delicious. Has to make a couple adjustments to the sides and Thomas our server was extremely helpful. He's awesome and was perfectly attentive to our table. It was busy but the noise level isn't overbearing or anything. Still quiet enough to have a low volume convo. Until next time

Always an extremely good and affordable place to eat I would not recommend the coffee only because it taste like instant coffee but other than that everything else in the venue is always phenomenal

This is my daughter's favorite breakfast place. She loves the Nutella crepes and I love the avocado tomato eggs Benedict. Everyone is always very nice. We've gone Christmas morning, a few other times, and most recently on Father's Day. Love it :)

Ordered the border Benedict with "Carne Asada" and received a Benedict with ground beef. I still ate it but why would you blatantly lie about the meat you're giving out.

Food is so good, service is great & efficient! Will be in & out in an hour. As a Mexican I will say I like their American breakfast better than their Mexican food. I got the green chilaquiles once but ever since have chosen pancake/ french toast breakfast options instead. Also their açaí bowls are amazing!

Fiesta burrito was huge and all good

It's a great spot to meet up with friends or bring my mom when she arrives at the Oside train station from Grover Beach. It's a wonderful place to grab a flavored latte, seasonal drink, a glass of wine and a lunch bite, or all of the above! I also look forward to wandering through their gift area every time, where they stock unique jewelry, candles, fragrance rollerballs and 'clean' nail polish, plants and pots, kids' merchandise, t-shirts, and other cute stuff. I always buy something extra (and special) when I come. Their coffee bar is open, as is the general space, and there is plenty of seating outside in front and in back. You can watch the baristas make your drink and peep the beautiful Italian espresso machine and lovely bouquet of dried flowers by the bar while doing so. They bring their food out to you and when your espresso drink is ready they set it on the bar for you to pick up. Definitely a place to hang vs. grabbing a quick drink and rushing off about your day. I always want to stay and catch up with friends or bring my laptop to do some work, and they never make me feel rushed. Truly one of my favorite coffee shops in North County and in SD in general. (There is another high quality coffee shop in Oceanside that has incredible coffee and pastries--I won't mention the name--but I sometimes sense an attitude from the staff there, and that is a bit of a turnoff.) Our servers name was Monse I believe and she was excellent. We had mimosas, an americano, lobster thermidor with cheese grits, and the steak and eggs. What's super annoying is that the menu change still isn't reflected online, so we had no idea until we sat down. The avocado toast was burnt, potatoes were flavorless and unevenly cooked, and the "poached" eggs were hard in the middle.
