This is a favorite place for my family. The burgers are good sized. The tri tip taco is plenty big enough alone for me, its served on a flour tortilla and piled up decently with meat and accouterments. My personal favorite is the turkey avocado sandwich it is piled with plenty of turkey and it comes with fries! But the best of the best is the trip tip sandwich. It's exactly like Firestone Grill's trip tip sandwich... but I don't have to drive to SLO to enjoy one! The star off is due to the fries...they are thin and salted well, but not always cooked well enough for me. There is no choice of cheeses for you burgers and sandwiches. They only offer jack cheese. Lastly the girls at the counter are not very friendly, they aren't rude...but they will let the phone ring forever when it's busy, which is annoying when you are trying to enjoy your meal. read more

Just had our first visit to Bronco Burgers. Arrived around 12:20 on a Friday. Only one parking place left and all the seats outside were taken. I waited in the car expecting a long wait, but about 10 minutes later my husband was back with our Turkey, avocado & cheese sandwiches...on toasted wheat bread with lettuce, onion, tomato & mayo. We stopped in at 6:30pm (sign says they close at 7pm) for a couple burgers to eat outside on the patio seeing how they had the chairs up and were mopping already. We bit into our food and the young woman who took our order told us we had to leave so they could clean up. It's 6:40pm at this time. We packed it up and by the time we got home it was soggy and disgusting. I thought this was incredibly rude. We could have finished and been on our way before closing time. But still reasonable for good food. The fries have seasoned salt and are pretty good but a little undercooked in my opinion. The ketchup was generic or hints which is not as good as Heinz, though I suspect Firestone refills their Heinz bottles but at least they use Heinz as a refil. The tritip was seasoned well and sliced thin but not as tender as Firestone. My wife thought the tri trip on her salad tasted "old." She avoided eating much of it. The BBQ sauce is definitely not as good. The bread was ok but didn't have the garlic butter flavor. The steak Cobb salad is served in a large (woven?) wood bowl but did not have the lettuce density of Firestone. The corn dog was, well I'm not a connisuer of corn dogs so it seemed ok. 4yr old Son said it was good but pulled off the corn wrapping since he didn't like it. They started out really good, making good burgers, and they used to have really good fries. They also used to answer the damn phone so you could call in your order and come pick it up. It was a weekday in the middle of the day, so not too crowded but we got one burger with bacon and avocado (split it), an order of onion rings and a drink. Just stopped to pick up a call- in order on the way to San Diego from San Francisco. Called 10 minutes out and our food was ready when we arrived. We had a few nit-picky requests and they were accommodated with great courtesy and professionalism, and everything was EXACTLY as we requested. No attitude, no excuses, just friendliness.
