I just moved to the neighborhood and started looking for local eats. Bronx came on my radar and I immediately bookmarked it to try. This place is legit! I ordered the philly cheese and my brother got the hitman with a side of fries! Everything is really tasty! Their baguette is buttery, soft and so good! We went for a Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. Hubby got #12 and I the bbq brisket sandwich. Both were amazing! I wanted to order two of the chocolate chip cookies sitting on the counter and the very sweet girl said they are taking some from the oven now and she'll pack those. Very kind. Only giving them a 2 bc their sandwiches are good. We've been coming here a while, But lately, their service has been garbage and the reason we won't be coming back. I've tried calling an order in before and they'll ignore the phone (I know because I ended up coming and ordering in person and watched them just stare at the phone ringing). Second; they lie. Tried to call in a sandwich they said they don't have but for some reason I still see it on the menu. Third, if you're business closes at a certain time, I expect to be able to order a sandwich 30 minutes before closing. Not being told I can't order from the hot side because the grill is closed. No, the grill should be closed at your closing time, not 30 minutes before closing. That's just bad service. If you close at a certain time, you should be accounting for late orders and make your staffing schedule accordingly. I've worked in the restaurant business, and if someone came in 1 minute before closing, we were still expected to serve them. Maybe we will give them a try again if they figure their ish out, but for now, we'll take our business elsewhere and let our friends and family know they should too. read more

Sandwiches at Bronx are everything you want a sandwich to be. Unique, with high quality meats, fresh bread, and HUGE. They are completely stuffed to the brim with meats and accompaniments. There is only one size for the sandwiches, and I wish you had an option to order just a half because I was super full. Because I had a hot sandwich I didn't want to take any home and have to reheat it. Speaking of hot sandwiches, they are my favorite, and Bronx has a large selection of them. The Philly Cheese was absolutely divine. Thinly sliced beef, melted Provolone & American cheese, grilled bell peppers, onions, mushrooms and mayo are all combined to create a hot, juicy, flavorful sandwich. Breakfast sandwiches, street fries (which are essentially sandwich ingredients atop fries and look gooey and amazing), and salads also make up the menu. I can't speak to the cold sandwiches but If you love a good hot sandwich, you won't be disappointed. read more

My wife and I liked our sandwiches. They were pretty tasty and had a decent amount of meat in them (always important to me in a sandwich ). Ordered the brisket sandwich and PoBoy. We were on our way back to San Diego and were searching Yelp for a good place to get a sandwich. We came across BRONX and one of the highest rated sandwiches was the Sloppy Bronx. When I saw it, I had to try it! It is a quite large sandwich with brisket, hot link, coleslaw, melted American cheese, topped with fries and chipotle mayo. My husband and I split it and we felt very satisfied. It was definitely a unique sandwich that I would recommend to people wanting to try something new. Although it was a great sandwich, it wasn't a sandwich that I felt like I couldn't wait till the next time I have it. A 5 star rating for me means if I had room, I would have another one and I can't wait to return and have it again; the food would be in my dreams. The service was exceptional. The woman at the front was very helpful and let us know the sandwich was definitely big enough for the two of us. We really appreciate that because some places are just about getting a sale of another sandwich. I would definitely give it another try and see if I can find that 5 star sandwich. read more

I can't believe I haven't given a review after all the times I've been here. This is my "go to" sandwich spot. I am from NY and this is one of the closest sandwich spot that reminds me of Home (food options) and as far as the portions and prices, it's worth every penny. The food is so good, I always eat my food in the car and I don't do that for many places. LOL. But yes, highly recommend. New Yorker approved!!! Lol read more

Great sandwiches & always consistent. "The Yankee" is my fav! It's a combo of sweet ham + turkey and it's really delicious. I normally get it on a french roll - super good! Delivery was laughable. The driver called me to come down from my hotel room to get my food through his car window. Had a Corned beef Reuben and it was like chewing on an old tire. I asked for utensils to eat my macaroni salad but didn't get them or any mayo, mustard, salt/pepper, etc. NOT on my choice list. Delivery was horrific. Food was not edible. Had two sandwiches to go which we took to the huntington dog beach and oh boy, did they hit the spot! The Newyork was roast beef and dill Havarti on marbled rye. I loved the bread so much! Ehhh... it's okay... I was disappointed with the flavor/texture... tried the Sloppy Bronx ($11) since it was the popular one. It's a big sandwich and definitely can fill you up. The fries were crispy and seasoned. You can put more fry seasoning if you'd like. The bread was okay, kinda toasted. The sausages and brisket were okay too, the sausage was a bit sweet. Had to put tapatio to add flavor. Friendly staff though. read more

I have to say, I wasn't overly impressed. I got the BBQ Brisket sandwich, minus the coleslaw. I said yes to keep the Mayo in it, and they left it out. Now, I love good bbq'ed sauced meats mixed with Mayo. This sauce had to be the most absolutely horrible sauce that I've ever encountered. It tasted burnt. Now, yes, bbq sauce is supposed to be smoky, deep, and give off the impression of "burnt". Most of the time, it's a mix of molasses, sugar, and the acidity of a tomato base with a dash of vinegar. This was freakin' overcooked/burned sauce. I took 3 bites, wrapped it all back up, and took it home. When I got home, I put Mayo on it, mixed in some bbq sauce that I had in the pantry, and added some pickles just for fun, and it was soooo much better. My friend got The Boss and the Bronx Club. Those sandwiches were actually pretty good on the bites that I stole on those, so the three stars is on those sandwiches. I'm not sure if I would go back, but maybe just for one of those cold sandwiches if I'm in the area. read more

I visited this establishment on Sunday 7/24/2022. I was referred by this guy at a local Store who a east coast accent (super friendly). I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak with no mushrooms(allergies to mushrooms). I had a nail appointment and didn't eat it right away. It was still warm when I arrived home an hour later and it tasted amazing. I will definitely be returning to this spot. I've already started referring my friends and family. If you like messy and big, these are the sandwiches for you. The tuna salad could have used a bit more seasoning. The Reuben was great. Green salad was fresh and crisp. I liked it. I expected the skin of the crispy pork to soft and soggy since the drive home took 40 minutes, but I was beyond shocked! The crispy skin stayed crispy and was able to hear the crunch with every bite. That's a huge plus for me. The flavor of the grilled chicken was excellent and chicken was moist and tender. For the classic, it's weird to say, but it's the best Vietnamese cold cuts I've ever eaten. What really shocked me in the end is that these banh mi ended up costing around $8-9 per sandwich, which is a steal as some places charge $10+ and the flavors are nowhere near carrot and daikon. Whenever I'm in town, I'll definitely need to stop by.

The experience at this "sandwich place" was one of the most abysmal I've encountered in recent memory, and not for lack of quality ingredients, but for the glaring absence of decency and respect in customer service. From the moment my friend walked in and ordered the number 22, she had only one expectation: a safe, simple sandwich devoid of any BBQ sauce--a condiment to which she has a known allergy. But what she received was far from that. The worker behind the counter seemed as sour as week-old coleslaw. As my friend took a single, hopeful bite, her expression quickly changed, and she had to spit it out in horror. To our shock, her lips began turning red--a sure sign of an allergic reaction, and all because someone had slathered BBQ sauce on her order. Politely informing the worker of the grave mistake, my friend was met not with an apology or concern but with a callous attitude that only heightened the already tense situation. The worker not only refused to admit any error but audaciously blamed my friend for ordering "incorrectly"--a claim both ridiculous and insulting, given we had witnessed the order being placed quite clearly. In a field where hospitality should be paramount, this establishment clearly missed the mark. A sandwich is supposed to be a simple pleasure, but here, it was served with a side of arrogance and indifference that no amount of extra sauce could ever mask. read more

Tried bronx for the first time today and man, it hit all the spot. First all, we know that this restaurant has been around for a while now, it made us wonder why it took us so long to get here. During Covid-19, we ordered take-out. Cashier was friendly and service was on point. My husband got Bronx Dip, tender brisket slow-cooked to perfection with their house Au-Jus house on the side. Hey folks - always ask for extra Au Jus - they don't charge extra like a lot of other restaurants. I ordered the Grilled Chicken (wanted Squaw bread but they say its discontinued due to slow demand) so I got French Baguette instead. My son got the Bronx Club on dutch crunch and I took a bite...OMG - their dutch crunch bread is the best I've had outside of San Francisco. Its airy on the side and crispy on the outside. Must try their Dutch Crunch! We also ordered their fries with cajun seasonings and it was bomb too. Will be back soon Bronx! read more

Must admit it is in a unique place and can be a little difficult to find if you don't really know the area, but hey with technology now a days its not impossible to find. OMG, first off the sandwich was huge! I was only able to eat a fourth of it and my boyfriend ate the rest. I decided to get the Sloppy Bronx and it did not disappoint! I am a bit of a picky eater so me stating this is not an understatement. The only reason I took a star off is because I asked for light spicy mayo and it was still a little more than I wanted for my taste, but no worries, quick fix next time I will ask for it on the side and will add as much as I see fit! :) read more

BRONX Sandwich" is a true Anaheim institution. It is one of the last bastions of a bygone era that is apparent by how this iconic Jewish deli still thrives in a neighborhood that has been in a downward spiral for the better part of the past last century. The neighborhood itself seems to be in the early throes of an upswing but has a long way to go. BRONX Sandwich on the other hand is as good as it gets. Their famous #19 sandwich is an ideal balance of rough cut perfectly prepared pastrami combined with their amazing twice baked rye bread married with a thick crunchy crust and, the thousand island w/coleslaw. This place surpasses most if not all sandwich places in OC. The Pastrami Reuben is amazingly phenomenal.. and they offer on the house food for kids which is amazing because my daughter doesn't eat much and it sucks to always spend an extra 10 for wasted food. Deli shops tend to be slightly overrated because people generally love deli meat and cheese sandwiches. They are hard to mess up, even if you make them at home. I ordered a shrimp Po'boy and it was delicious. The shrimp was nice and plump, lightly battered, and delicious. The bread was also very good. Their prices are much higher than competing sub shops. The toppings tasted incredibly fresh, and even the vegetables still had a bright flavor after being baked. Everything was flavorful enough that I didn't need ranch or any other condiments. - Chicken and spinach slice: My favorite! The white sauce was creamy with good flavor, and the chicken was tender. - Prosciutto slice: The tomatoes added a nice balance of sweetness and acidity, but I wish there had been more prosciutto. Because of all the arugula, it ended up tasting more like a salad than a pizza. Overall, it's a solid spot for a quality slice if you're at the Packing House.

Once I made my way into the market, I was in heaven. I had the opportunity to chat with the cashier, who was incredibly friendly. She told me it's a family-owned business and that she genuinely loves working there, which really says a lot about the place. I loved browsing all the sauces, fresh pasta, imported products, and beautiful pastries. Naturally, I couldn't leave empty-handed! I brought home a few goodies, including Mike's Hot Honey, which is absolutely delicious drizzled over a soft cheese. My family and I have always been loyal customers, we always tip generously, and we have never given this establishment a reason to treat us with anything but respect. Today, that streak ended. We came in with a party of 9. Our usual, normal spot was completely open and ready, but the host looked visibly bothered that we wanted to sit there. Instead of seating us, they made all 9 of us stand right next to literally 10 wide-open seats for over 5 minutes. To make matters worse, the staff kept giving us looks that made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome. In over a decade, we have never been made to feel like a burden here until today. It wasn't cool, and it completely ruined what is usually a great family tradition. It hurts to say this after 10 years of loyalty, but if you have a big party, don't go here. They clearly cannot handle it, or simply do not want the business.
