Happily discovered it was open on Easter after calling a handful of places. The clientele, mostly senior citizens or large families, boded well for great diner fare. Our server Suzy was charming, cheerful, and very efficient. The baked goods, a biscuit and blueberry score, that accompanied our meals were also delicious. However, our dishes, corned beef hash and steak and eggs, were rather disappointing in portion and taste. My steak, though medium rare, was still tough and tasted strongly of not being thoroughly defrosted before being cooked. This in my opinion is the best all-around restaurant in Roseville or any surrounding area's. Fantastic service and staff, great food at a reasonable price. It has become our go to restaurant for breakfast and lunch (we're getting older and don't leave the house for dinner anymore! lol) I can understand now why so many eating establishments are struggling when compared to Brookfields. Other restaurants in the area are way understaffed with unfriendly workers and poor service. We were recently in the area and were looking for a Family Friendly restaurant for Breakfast. We settled on this mainly because it was nearby, and we had eaten at another location and had a great experience. We had a small party but it was not busy at that particular time. We had a start with small Fresh squeezed Orange juice. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We had a couple of omelets and Pancakes. A half of our party of 6 ordered various omelets, the rest had a chorizo scramble, two-egg breakfast and myself the Santa Fe Benedict served on cornbread topped with house-made chorizo. My wife and I have been to several Brookfield restaurants; however, this location was our best experience. Straight from the gate, we were greeted and seated. Our waitress immediately provided us with water and lemon wedges on the side. The menu option is vast, with many different dishes to choose from. Once we ordered, our food arrived and was piping hot. We love the syrup at Brooksfields, which is one of the main reasons we dine for breakfast. Also, you can substitute your preference for meat with your sausage; we choose turkey sausage. The ingredients used at Brookfield are always on point. The ambiance is relaxing and family-friendly. We always enjoy dining at Brookfield and often eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This was my first time trying Brookfields. I did not leave disappointed. The staff was super friendly and my waitress so sweet. Since it was my first time I asked her for her recommendation she said The Ruben was her favorite so I went with that and let me tell you it was absolutely delicious. So much flavor and the French fries were so good and perfect crispy. I used the season salt that was on the table and it gave the fries extra flavor. I also ordered a mimosa and it was perfectly made. The ambiance was so cute and cozy. I will definitely be back. read more

I've been to this location a few times since it's in my area. I've had a burger before which, was tasty. But almost always I get the captain's platter. It has fish, fries, and shrimp. It's so good and never gets old. My dad got me started with eating this dish and it's his favorite on their menu too. Their service is always great too. I've yet to try their breakfast which, is surprising. Btw the captains platter comes in 2 different portions a lunch one and then a dinner. I believe the difference is how many shrimp you get? Bear in mind this is a review for a typical diner type restaurant. Food doesn't have to be perfect or five star at a diner, it is what it is. As far as diners go, this is a go to for us, as it isn't terribly expensive, and the restaurant accommodates a large group fairly quickly. I have never had a bad meal at this diner, from Cobb salad to burgers, to breakfasts to sweets, everything is decently good. Unfortunately, four sisters which was our favorite breakfast spots closed in Roseville, so this is a great alternative if you are wanting to do country breakfast or pancakes, burgers, etc. I think they are a bit nicer Than your typical diner, and the wait staff is always very friendly and professional. Located right off the freeway, very central if you are in Sacramento clear up to Auburn, definitely worth a visit if you have a bigger group and don't mind a more casual, basic dining experience. read more

Our waitress was very kind and super attentive to all the multiple tables she was attending so I'm thankful for the good experience. However the food didn't look or taste appetizing at all to me. I ordered the biscuits with gravy that comes with 2 eggs and sausage patties. I did NOT imagine them all coming on top of each other, I really assumed they'd be separate, so I think as soon as I saw my plate I was turned off. The gravy was pretty decent, but the sausage patties had a little bit of a weird kind of hard texture, the eggs were a bit on the runnier side. Four words: Cinnamon roll French toast. It is my go to breakfast when I come to Brookfields. It is two delicious pieces of French toast served with eggs & sausage/bacon. I love it! To be honest, this is the only thing that I have ordered the three times that I have come here. I guess I am a creature of habit, but I know a good thing when I taste it. I have been patronizing Brookfields for over 25 years since my parents, who used to live in Roseville introduced Brookfields to me. Always a pleasant experience. Whenever, I travel from the Bay Area to Tahoe one Reno, I always stop at Brookfield's. I was there with a friend on July 9th. Vinny was our waiter. He was friendly and professional. Came by to refill our iced teas. The food was excellent. We both had the Sam's Melt. It was very tasty. I have also tried the omelette and the dinners. All very nice. Visited this restaurant for the first time on a holiday Monday at 11:00. Place was very busy but wife and I were seated quickly at a comfortable booth. Food was overall very good! My basic hamburger was cooked just right and was juicy, with a fresh brioche-like bun. Wife liked her spinach and mushroom omelette. Only con was the breakfast potatoes needed another minute or two on the grill, they were too firm; they were also somewhat under seasoned. Service was good; the food took a while to arrive but it was busy and the servers were all hustling. We'll be back for sure! Can't wait to try some of the other items on the menu! read more
