I went to Bruce's today thinking I would have to buy a new tire. Honda Morgan Hill advised I do so. I made an appointment with Bob Lance over the internet. He advised me to see Matthew at Bruce's. Not only did they repair my tire, but did not charge me. Honda gave me a quote of $175 which I could not afford. They insisted I needed a new tire. This shop was so courteous and helpful. Brought my car here today at 8:05 am. I've been going here for oil change for several years and this is the first time I wasn't impressed with the service. My car was the first one they took in and while i was waiting I was asked if I wanted an oil and cabin filter replaced. I said yes. Wasn't expecting my bill would go as high as $237 with a $15 coupon but whatever. My main issue was how long it took to get my car back. I got my keys at 9:50 am. Nearly 2 hrs?? My car was the first one there, there was a time was nobody was even doing anything to my car or near my car for at least 5 min( this was past 9am) so I asked ray how much longer I have to wait? I think he said they're almost done or 10 min. This lady drove my car to the parking lot and ray was still on the phone and talking about when are they gonna have lunch.. that's like the 2nd time he's discussing a personal matter in front of a customer instead of checking with my car because my keys are already in the front. Then it's up to the customer to pay a fix labor time. Not coming back here after today. read more

After having AAA change a flat tire, I asked if they had a recommendation of a tire store. One of the recommendations with Bruce's. I called to see if they had time and the Carlos said absolutely! The staff there was really nice, they had a little side waiting room that I could close the door and use to make phone calls while I was there, again I can't say enough about the staff. I work at an Auto Repair Shop, but didn't feel like driving up to the shop for a tire repair. I was anticipating some run around and some hype/scare tactic. None of that happened. Brought my wife's car in because the RR Tire Sensor was on, and it clearly had a leak, but I didn't see the puncture when I looked, maybe because the Wheel Well clearance was too cramped to see clearly. Anyway, no appointment or call ahead, I just dropped the vehicle off a little before 11:00am, got a call shortly after Noon that it was ready. Didn't try and upsell me or anything. My breaks were making a horrible noise. I am fairly new to Gilory and needed my car for work the next day so I called a number of service stations in town trying to figure out who could do this work in a cost effective and timely manner, only Eric from Bruce's would give me any idea of what costs might be. Other places were vague, at best, and wanted to charge me $20 just to give me an estimate. Bruce's inspects breaks for free, their hourly rates are also more reasonable than others and they have been in business for years. Glad I went to Bruce's, Eric just called and told me the breaks were worn to the metal but because this just happened there was not enough damage to require costly repairs and I only needed a standard break job. Eric also let me know they would be able to have my breaks fixed within a few hours. I am glad Eric helped me decide to go to Bruce's because I am pretty sure other service stations might have told me I needed a major break job so they could make more money. Eric assured me then proved that Bruce's is in it for the long term. read more

Man what can I say except LIFE SAVERS AND HEREOS! My food truck broke down in Morgan hill and I have a few major events this week and needed a shop to get the job done the same day ina few hours. Mind you food trucks are beyond difficult and not easy to deal with for shops...luckily I called mostly all the shops near Morgan hill and no one could get it done until after the weekend and had some crazy prices...we'll I stumbled upon Bruce's tires and don't let that "Tire" fool you because these guys proven ina matter of minutes their more then that. Got my vehicle towed and was told it can be done today latest tomrorow. Upon arriving these guys here let me tell you showed love and we're genuinely some of the nicest people I've ever met, so willing to help and happy compared to so many experiences other places. They pushed to get my truck done ina matter of a few hours and once the truck arrived they had one gentleman get in it and instantly I could tell these guys know what their doing which was a huge relief. The manager and staff were just icing on the cake with how lively and cool going. I wish I had a shop in San Jose with these guys because I would be going to them as well sending them everyone I know. Im even debating to be making trips up here for my truck again if needed and personal vehicles. Much love to you guys at brucies and respect. I tend to only leave reviews when I've had a really bad experience but this was total opposite!! These gentlemen Tire deserved to be acknowledged for all the hard work they do. This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a shop which now means they have themselves another loyal customer. As soon as I walked in there I could feel the vibe of the place and let me just say... It was a cozy feeling. Sergio at the front desk made me feel so comfortable that I felt like I've known him for years. The way he talked to all his customers you would think they were family. Offered us all a cold water being how it was a scorcher Outside. He also made sure I had a ride to and from when it came time to pick up my car. That has never been offered to me before by other shops so I was pretty surprised. Sergio went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of and I greatly appreciated it. When it came time to pick up my car I paid exactly what he quoted me a Nothing More. I have had such terrible experiences with previous shops where the price had changed by a great deal and I was also being sold parts and work that needed to be done to my car which I found out later that my car either didn't need it or the work was actually never done. Sergio was straight across the board and he also took the time to explain to me why my car was making a weird noise and exactly what work was done to my car to fix it. I asked Matthew at Bruce's tire to do a vehicle inspection on a car I was buying. The short of my review is that they are good with tires and alignment. It would have been better to take it to a shop specializing in the specific make. Bruce's tire did not initially report a failed TPMS and they reported AC was fine when it was low on Freon. There was no check of oil or brake conditions. They did or said they did a balance and alignment. There are no balance or alignment issues. I feel I was overcharged for an incomplete inspection read more

This is simple. The people who run Bruce's Tires in Gilroy are down-to-earth and the company provides fair pricing, too. I brought in a just-bought used Mercedes, which can be expensive to effect a good four-wheel alignment, as I informed by one the MBZ dealerships north of Gilroy but instead of doing that, I was told that the car needed only a proper re-alignment. After two months of driving the car, I can tell you that Bruce's Tires was right. I will be back. read more

The second time I needed Bruce's help, I was disappointed. I tore up a $180 tire due to neglecting the tire pressure, my bad. I called Bruce's, and asked about getting the same tire since the other three were still pretty young. They told me that the tires I had were discontinued, and suggested some others. I was driving at the time, so I did not have time to do more than listen to the options, but none of them approached the wear rating of the three tires I already had. Then, I called San Martin tire who had no difficulty locating the exact tire, having it in their shop the next day, and on my car the day after that. read more

I took my truck in for an alignment and was told to do my alignment they would need to punch out the camber hole, which would have been fine if they told me this before they aligned it. So I was then told I had to pay the full price and if I came back and paid them $75 to do the knockouts they would realign it for me for free. But if I did the knock outs (which is a 10 minute job) I would have to pay another $129 for the alignment. They had me under a barrel so I paid the $75 just to get it done and get my truck back. Now here we are a few months later. I use this truck mainly for going to the dump and running around town. I feel a had thump when I hit the brakes so I take it into my garage a lift it up on the lift to find the camber bolts nuts on the drivers side have come loose and were about to fall off. For those of you who don't know what the bolts do, they hold the front wheels to the frame and if it comes off while driving it would be catastrophic. Just imagine driving 75mph down the freeway and all the sudden your front wheel comes off. You and the drivers around you could be severely injured or God forbid killed. For this reason I must implore you DO NOT do business with this shop. Life is too short to take chances on a mechanic that doesn't use torque wrench. read more

The manager Kevin was a great guy and very knowledgeable about alignment. He was willing to work with me on special specific alignment requirements for my car. He was willing to go over the shop and explained to his crew what I wanted. I got a special deal from Kevin on for $45 for all four wheel alignments special. That's hard to beat! They have a nice waiting room with TV and free water bottle for customers. read more
