Went to try Brunchies on lutz on a Saturday morning. It was packed, the wait was not so bad. The place was huge. Service was not bad not the greatest but not attentive I should say... Ordered Fresh Strawberry Waffle (saw the picture somewhere in fb of google reviews, tons of strawberries) order came and I'm like where are the rest of the strawberries?! Didn't complain.when I cut my waffle in half it wasn't crunchy or toasty at all it was soggy and just not appetizing at all! Brunchies is a busy spot on a Sunday but it was rightfully so. Waited about 25 minutes for a group of three but the weather was nice and the awning shaded us from the sun so the wait wasn't bad. Ordered the watermelon mimosa to start. It was alright but the taste was very light. I ordered the ultimate brunch sandwich and got sidewinder fries on the side. First of all, the fries were fantastic!!! They are thicker cut fries but they aren't crazy long so the fry was crisp but the fry isn't too heavy. The ultimate brunch sandwich was very good. It had a good spicy bite and it was very meaty. The only thing I wished was different was the how crispy the bread had been. It was slightly on the soggy side but it still held shape so it wasn't bad but a crispier bread would have added a great contrast with the smooth meaty filling of the sandwich. read more

This morning 9/26 It was suggested to me at the Dodge dealership to check out their breakfast while I was waiting on my vehicle and I can honestly say I wasn't to happy with the food, I order the Buccaneers Feast...Which included a choice of maple french toast( and another item I forgot what it was) your choice of bacon, sausage, grits and eggs. I chose Maple French Toast and I didn't like it at all the consistency of it reminded me of Flan and it was somewhat cold....so then I started on my grits they were okay, the bacon was chewy and the eggs were fine but then again you cant go wrong with eggs Lol. My son were in the area and based on their reviews online, decided to have Brunch. They have a huge menu of pancakes, waffles, eggs etc. My son had a Cuban Sandwich which he really enjoyed. It came with hash browns. I'm Vegetarian so ordered a side of avocado multigrain toast which was topped with tomatoes, onions and Cilantro. Very good just needed some garlic. This is a very nice place' I like the service. They told us it would be a 20min wait and it was barely 10min and I could see why when I sat down. The waitress was very attentive and helped navigate the menu because there are a lot of options. I would say this place is cheap but it cost almost $50 for both meals and I thought that was a bit pricy. The food was good but not $50 good. But either way I had a good time, I'm not from this area so I enjoyed stopping by. The food was really good and I would try it again. I'm not quite sure if we will be back here! Maybe it will be quite a while. Looking around it looked like many of the servers were from the Carrollwood location. I would think that be great for service & servers who are familiar with the menu. That was not the case. My husband ordered a skillet but got an omelet. The order took so long to come out, so I was like great it will take forever for his order. His order was also incorrect and he had ordered a sunny side egg, and got scrambled eggs, but he dealt with it because we had already waited for his correct order. The potatoes were also terribly salty. I ordered shrimp and grits which were not great. I also ordered duck bacon because I have heard how good it was. It was overcooked. The food and service didn't match the overpriced check we received. I really thought after waiting forever for this place to open and the lack of breakfast places that this could be our go to breakfast place, but nope I'll steer clear! Maybe I'll try again in the future, but not near future. read more

Thought we would give this place a shot. Ordered 2 Mexican breakfast items that had us desiring more. Both dishes were severely under seasoned and their Bloody Mary was lacking a punch. They have a home made hot sauce which is sweeter than spicy and should not be considered hot sauce. If their clientele are older retirees who can't handle paprika, than its I'd bang on to their desired audience! Just another breakfast spot that doesn't come up to par here in North Tampa! I had the guava stuffed french toast and it did not disappoint! I only ordered the half and split it with a friend but that was perfect. There was just enough guava in the middle of the two french toast and there were strawberries and whipped cream on top. The pancakes were very good as well.
