More than a lot of other breakfasts in Tampa in my opinion. But, the execution of the food is not always great. It doesn't mean it tastes bad. I just don't think detail to them is as important. For example, I guess they are known for the benedicts. That is what our server said. If so, they should be awesome so I picked the special Crab Benedict. It was alright, but the bread was soggy. The eggs were just kinda tossed on the bread. My hubby loves their skillets. You can create your own skillets and omelets, but toppings you choose have different prices, & you don't know how much they cost. It does not say. Just an FYI, the back room is quieter. The main room is LOUD!!!! You can sit at the bar, & not wait if you want. The server Jorge, who is new is pretty helpful and nice. He made a mistake & rang up an omelet instead of skillet. Oops, it happened. He got it taken care of ASAP. I noticed the male hostess was yelling about his coworker in the front. I heard it too. Totally, not professional. So Yep! Been going there for 10 years but I will never go back again. Food is decent. I simply asked for thinner sliced onions for my bagel and lox and they refused to slice them for me.Was told they're pre-sliced and short order cooks are to stupid to know how to slice an onion by hand. Brunchies is one of my go to breakfast joints. The coffee is good, you get super friendly service, and there's tons of scrumptious breakfast choices on the menu. Some other reasons this is a fave of mine: 1) Brunchies always features a specialty pancake. In the Fall they have pink pumpkin pancakes that can be topped with praline syrup. Yummm! 2) I don't eat pig bacon and I love, love, love the duck bacon! The turducken Benny has got to be one of my favorite benedicts on the menu. 3) The bagels are flown in from the Bronx. Let me start by saying that my breakfast selection and dining experience earned four stars. It's what happened at the end that tarnished the entire experience, and I'm being generous in giving two stars. Waitress Kristina was very friendly and accommodating, and gave enough time to review the menu selection in making a decision. I decided to try the Guava Crepes with Strawberries and topped with whipped cream. Meantime enjoying a self-poured cup of half regular/half decaf coffee from a pot left at the table. The crepes were served and looked as good as I imagined. Tasted delicious and I highly recommend them if you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth. As I mentioned, the dining experience earned four stars. As the bill was being reviewed, the crepes were billed $3 more. I checked the menu again, and it was not the same as what was on the bill. I pointed this out to Kristina, waitress, who said the menu price was wrong. (One thing about me: don't do THAT!) I said, "No, it's the price on the menu." To which she said she would check with the manager. The bill was adjusted, which was fine. Here's the kicker: the charge against the card is $600! So, now THIS has to be corrected AND in the meantime is effecting making any needed purchases on the card. We've been here 3 or 4 tomes now. It's a little drive from Riverview, but worth it. Best hard-scrambled eggs & grits in Tampa. I'm relocating to this area and was in town for the day solo. I'm glad to have found this place thanks to other yelp reviews and delicious looking photos. I was greeted and seated as soon as I walked in and they were following social distancing guidelines by skipping tables. They seemed to have a lot of regulars that were speaking with the owners or manager and they made sure to stop by mine to thank me for coming in. The staff was friendly and efficient. I did a take out order today and ordered my favorite - Eggs Bruncheros. 2 crispy corn taco shells with cheese. 2 eggs on top and beans and rice!! It is wonderful. So I have lived in the area a while and can't believe I haven't tried this breakfast spot before! We came here because we wanted to try something new. We came in on a Saturday morning around 9, and were seated immediately. I love the vibrant colors of the inside and the counter chairs are so short it made me laugh. The menu is very diverse and they offer alcoholic beverages for breakfast. They had mimosas, sangria, bloody Mary's to name a few. In addition, they offer bottomless coffee and nitro cold brew from blind tiger. They boast about healthy options and they do have a healthy option section. I will give it to them the front ladies taking peoples names are nice and very pleasant but once we sat not one of the waiters/Waitresses came up or attended to us. Waited for more than 30 minutes seeing people that came after us being served and greeted while we just sat there and not one coming and saying hey have you been attended to yet? I ordered the Kyles Meat-Lovers Omelette. Minus the turkey. Sounds simple right? Well my omelette was way way way over cooked. The cheese was brown because it was way over cooked. No stringiness to the cheese at all. The meat was over cooked as well. I was not a fan of the season less potatoes either. Bad choice for me. My son had the Juan's Burrito. I ordered a prickly pear mimosa and she accidentally brought me a regular one, but fixed it right away. Ordering a cup of coffee gets you a carafe of it which is nice. food was served pretty quickly for the rush hour of brunch time. I went with the shrimp and grits and they were phenomenal. Was looking for a place that had eggs benedict, and there is a certain expectation that I had when the first item on the menu is eggs benedict. Ordered the Super Benny which was 3 english muffins total with homestyle potatoes. The food came out quickly, and the eggs were cooked over easy. The hollandaise sauce was spot on. Service was very good. My coffee was refilled before I could ask, and they were constantly checking in on me. Overall, the food was delicious and the service was great. EVEN DUCK BACON. I ordered the recommended pancakes and vegetable omelette. I thought it was pretty cool you can sub pancakes for any bread item for $1.99. You get one pancake and it's ginormous. I made mine chocolate chip for another $0.99. The vegetable omelette was hearty. While it lacked in flavor it made up for it in size and thick pieces of vegetables like mushrooms and broccoli. I added salt, pepper, and plenty of hot sauce and it was to my liking. In addition to the bread item it is also served with breakfast potatoes. Steal! Hot and fresh but not as crispy as I like them. The pancake was good but not my favorite. Good density and size but a little too browned. Had a charred flavor to it with most bites. Added a little extra butter and maple syrup and I was happy!
