Cool idea - free coffee pot for people who are waiting (although the pot was empty and had to tell them... never ended up getting it) I did however get bottomless coffee which rated great and they left a big pot that kept its heat on our table . The menu was easy to navigate even tho it had a lot of options. They categorize it very well. I went for a healthier fare and got 3 egg whites with grilled chicken and fruit (no up-charge for fruit either) and a slice of whole wheat toast. The waitress and staff were all pleasant. We decided to try something different this week other than our usual First Watch. The menu looked pretty good and had a lot of variety for breakfast and lunch items. We only had to wait about 10 minutes which was great. I ordered the Buccaneer Feast with Crunchy Cakes, two eggs over medium, bacon and grits. The Crunchy Cakes were delicious. They had blueberries and granola and was a perfect balance of sweet and crunchy. I removed one star because the eggs came out undercooked and were barely even cooked over easy. For a basic breakfast staple, I was disappointed. My wife had the side of Avocado Toast, she enjoyed it but was disappointed that it was only one slice of toast. The service from our waiter was amazing! He checked with us multiple times and always appeared to care about how our experience was. The kitchen on the other hand was super slow. It took us almost 45 minutes to get our food from when we sat down and we're there a total of an hour and 15 minutes. Way longer than I expect for brunch. One of the few breakfast spots in the area with skillets. In Chicago, they are always on thr menu. Unfortunately, here not at all. I always pick my skillet toppings. I have to be careful though. They quickly add up since toppings are different prices. That is quite a hassle. There are often seasonal options on the menu as well as many types of Benedict's, pancakes. French toast, omelttes, etc. The one thing here is the service is shotty. Perhaps the servers are given too many tables or perhaps because since there are often big groups, they prefer the big groups. With that, it is not a favorite breakfast place whatsoever. They do give you a breakfast entree on your birthday as well as crepes so just keep that in mind in case you would like that. Just sign up for their rewards. read more

I've been eating at Brunchies for many years, and really enjoy this place. You'll find Brunchies tucked into a strip mall along Dale Mabry in Carrollwood, directly across the street from GrillSmith, and right near YouFit and Abby's Nutritionals. They're open 7 days a week from 7am - 2pm. On my most-recent visit the folks at Brunchies were celebrating 10 years in business, and they were throwing a big party for their customers with all sorts of specials. The dining room was decorated with colorful balloons, and the servers were welcoming all of their patrons as if we were long-lost family members. I've always found the staff to be super-friendly and extremely helpful. They'll gladly walk newcomers through the menu, and explain all of the customization options. It's no wonder that you see so many familiar faces eating in here week after week. The menu is voluminous with all sorts of egg dishes, omelettes, Benedicts (called Benny's), skillet scrambles, and lots of pancakes, waffles, French toast, berry crepes, organic granola, and fresh fruit dishes. If you want to get a little crazy you can order the Chunky Monkey pancakes with bananas, pecans, and chocolate chips, or the guava-stuffed French toast, or the white chocolate waffle to get your day started. If you prefer something heartier then you'll find breakfast burritos, duck bacon, chorizo & eggs, steak & eggs, and shrimp & grits on the menu. If you're a late riser then you'll find a wide assortment of lunch salads, homemade soups, burgers and deli sandwiches on the lunch menu. Brunchies is a go to for a classic brunch with the fam. I got the juevos bruncheros with chorizo and it was bomb. My boyfriend got their french toast and he really liked it (he had nothing else to add lmfao). The pricing here is pretty standard. They also serve Ginger Beard Coffee so I got the single cold brew and it was delicious and came served in a cute little glass. I wouldn't necessarily pick Brunchies over any other similar brunch place in the area but I would definitely recommend trying it at least once! read more

This is my go to brunch spot whenever I'm in Tampa. They usually have good specials, as well as a solid (and large!) regular menu. Both breakfast and lunch items are served all day. I've tried the bagel & lox, spinach/pepper/goat cheese omelette, eggs benny, a chorizo skillet special, and one or two other things that I can't recall at the time. Everything is good, to good plus. My favorite dish was the chorizo skillet special. Service is usually pretty good. It's a busy, fast paced breakfast spot so sometimes you slip through the cracks but most of the time it's fine. I ordered​ the breakfast that had (2)eggs, two strips of duck bacon, sliced tomatoes. Blueberry crunch pancakes with syrup. Duck bacon sort of initially​ tasted like turkey bacon. A little thicker and had a smoky flavor to it. It was a nice replacement to the usual what is offered. The pancakes had blueberries and a granola sprinkle for the crunch. All of this was way too much food for me. Probably​ way too​ many carbs but, the week has been a little more stressful than normal. I really enjoyed the Duck bacon. Went to Brunchies when my "first" brunch place was too crowded... I went in with good intentions...really. All I wanted was a fruit place and a whole grain bagel. A simple enough order, or so I thought. The plate of fruit came out with no rhyme or reason and to seemed like they just chopped up fruit and threw it on a plate. The strawberries still had stems, the melon still had skin and it looked like the orange slices had been "pre-squeezed" (Which is great because they have fresh squeezed OJ... I just don't want the remnants left on my plate.) The bagel was good... The only other thing that my wife likes that they don't offer are hash browns instead of homefries... and sausage patties instead of links... I know I should not complain about things things that they don't offer, but instead of offering Duck Bacon (which they do), offer more staples. read more
