We had to try this place because my cousin's nickname is Bubba. We got there around 6:30., which was perfect timing because right after we ordered there was a huge line. The staff is nice. The place itself is cute with funny signs everywhere. I got the Bubba Burger and added Cheese and Bacon. I asked for no onions. My wife and I split an order of fries. I'm glad I asked for no onions because my wife said they are raw and very strong. She said it would've been better if they were grilled. My burger was so good! And it was the perfect size. I called in a order after a long beach day and these burgers really hit the spot! We got there, paid, and didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes to get our food. They have their own private parking lot so it's not hard to get a stall. I got a regular burger and fries, and my friend got the onion rings and all three items were super delicious. Went here twice during our stay on the east side of Kauai. First time we went for dinner and had no wait at all. Second time we waited about 45 min in line, which had no breeze. This place haunts my dreams. The burgers here are ah-may-zing. It brings tears to my eyes to think about the juicy fresh yumminess of the Bubba Burger. The meat comes from right there on the island. The other Night they closed early and said they ran out of buns? Is that possible at a burger joint? When we came back after 3 years, it didn't seem much better than in & out burger. Starving after tooling around the island all day and during a quick stop in Poipu, we decided to give Bubba's a try. Now this is a burger joint! The Teri burger with cheese had excellent flavor and was not an insurmountable burger you need to be an anaconda to unlock your jaws to wrap your mouth around. Chili cheese fries are exactly what you want them to taste like, and the fries by themselves are soooooo good! The milkshake also a staple from a time gone by and they definitely take pride in them. **OFFICIAL BURGER REVIEW** Ladies and gentlemen, I now have a new #2 on my "All Time Best Burger Joint" list!! First off ... it is located on the island of Kaua'i, which helps it score high right off the top ... but the burgers and fries are incredible on their own! The buns are soft and lightly toasted, holding a seasoned, flavored, juicy, perfectly cooked, beef patty (or 2 or 3!) The edge of the meat is lightly charcoaled, adding a touch of crunch to the first bite. The cheese is ample and completely melted. All of the fixins' are available, including jumbo sized pickles. The french fries are thin, but not super thin, and crunchy, with great homemade tater sauce. Once you receive your food you can step outside to the deck overlooking Main Street with the ocean on the other side, and enjoy this 5 star meal. Incredible food, awesome atmosphere, and a great laid back, old school decor. If you ever find yourself on this island, you MUST check out my #2 burger joint of all time ...
