I have visited both this branch and Anaheim branch numerous times with my families whenever we have family events and they never fail us. Their unique photos on the walls and fun artifacts around the restaurant will keep you occupied while waiting for your meal to arrive. We had to add two more people a day before and when I called, they were very nice about it and had no problem making the adjustment. When part of my party arrived, they seated us right away. And, our server, Crystal was a delight. Her bright energy and funny jokes were making everybody smile. She was very fast filling the beverages, checking and bringing out the food and cleaning the table. We ordered our usuals such as chopped antipasto, mozzarella caprese, frutti di mare, linguine & clams and sausage & mushroom pizza, which are amazing every time that I would order again in a heart beat. Out of ordinary, we ordered mild and spicy sausages and even they were delicious. I haven't been to a Bucca in years, maybe 3/4. Anyways I remember always being so enamored with their fettuccine Alfredo. I got a gift card for Xmas and was excited to go back after such a long time. Ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and garlic bread. It was enough to feed my family of 3. After taking 1 bite we were disgusted with the sauce. It tasted like it was a cheap store bought sauce. No flavor whatsoever. The chicken seemed like to was boiled and not grilled. I get nauseous even thinking about it honestly. My family all looked at each other with disgust. We mentioned the lack of flavor to our waiter and they apologized but didn't offer to have it remade or to order something different. We ended up just eating the garlic bread to fill ourselves up. We were in and out in about 35 minutes. Completely disappointed in the food. The waiter was courteous but busy with 6-7 big party tables, so I understand their lack of time maybe offering something else. All in all we will not being going back to a Bucca anytime soon or possibly ever. read more

Two weeks ago I took a family member there for a birthday dinner. it was ridiculous to get a server. They sat us in a tiny booth and didn't take our drink order at all as it was 100 degrees outside and then saying they didn't have a bigger table, which I then I walked around myself and found one. We finally got another server who was nice but the service was the worst. I Had to walk around and asked the host to get me a glass of water after waiting and waiting for a server. We all ate our dinner and we never got our plate of meatballs. So what does she do? she brings us the meatballs when we are all done eating spaghetti with NO meatballs and we are ready to go. She didn't cancel or comp the order. The manager was right there and was fine with it. Worst service ever at a restaurant. read more

A 2 hour wait at Lucille's turned into walking into Buca di Beppo, and from the hostess to the manager accommodating a walk in party of 8 felt like it was just an ordinary Saturday afternoon. From being told it would be impossible to get seated within 2 hours to, No problem, we got you! This review is likely not going to add additional value or point out anything not previously mentioned (by others), however I wanted to share my experience and perspective on the take out (pickups). It aims to identify good, the okay, and (obviously) service staffs. This is an average review (of dozen orders) placed on-line and serval call-in orders. In general, the wait time estimated for orders to be ready is on target. Unfortunately, several times scheduled time orders placed too early is "lost". For example, we placed an online order at 3pm for 5:30 pickup. A couple incidents, the kitchen had to looked for the order and prepared the order while we waited. This defects the purpose of pre-order/pre-schedule. I do have to give kudos to the cooks for reading notes! Every reasonable requests (e.g., extra sauce or breads) were followed. The food is good but the price point is high. This is probably to cover the cost of being a brick and mortar business. Frankly, I would wait or look for coupons prior to venturing into Bucca. The GOOD (1) Spicy Chicken Rigatoni - Not spicy but seasoned wonderfully. (2) Chicken Parmigiana - The chicken is lightly battered and topped with chopped cherry tomatoes. (3) Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken - The pesto sauce is divine. The AVERAGE (should skip) (1) Salmon Sorrento - Not worth $42 for 3 small servings. (2) Green Beans - Way overpriced for side order of lemon stir-fried green beans. (3) Baked Rigatoni or Cheese Manicotti- Too much cheese and not very flavorful. The packaging is always great. The only downside are the to-go drinks -- the lids are flimsy. Needless to say, by the time we got home. Those drinks content spilled inside the cupholders so make sure you have wipes to clean up. read more

I attended a birthday celebration here for my niece. There were 16 in our party. We were seated in the Pope area. The atmosphere is very unique. I'm always curious where the art comes from. Our server was very sweet, fun and attentive. I wish I remembered her name. Although she was great, there were a couple of items that weren't available due to supply issues she said. It wasn't really busy which was also nice cause we have been here when it's busier. That is why we opted for a Thursday dinner vs weekend. My fiance and I shared the baked ziti. For those not familiar with the food portions, they are family style and each entree can feed up to 3 people. The baked ziti was THE BEST I have ever had. We couldn't stop talking about it for a few days. The dessert platter is worry it too to share with a large group. It came with a chocolate cake, cheesecake and a strawberry type cake. Everyone loved them all. Especially the strawberry one. There was also a photographer that came around and took pictures for you to purchase. Very fun evening! read more

Snuck away for a quick little date with the Mr. We went around 8pm and asked if we can sit at the bar as we were just grabbing a drink and appetizer. At first they mentioned they had just closed the bar but Amanda the bartender was quick to say it's ok and that she'd gladly take care of us. We got to talking and found her to be a hard worker with great experiences. We order our drinks (I got the red sangria mg favorite, & my husband got a mule) and appetizer & she was still willing to put in an order for a salad.
