And the spicy sausage... listen, it's good on the first day, but it becomes a full superhero the next day. I don't know what happens overnight, but the leftovers go crazy. Even the soda water is fantastic crisp, cold, and somehow tastes filtered by the gods. Speaking of filtered, the regular water? Also filtered. This place really said, "Hydration matters." We had never been to Buca di Beppo until a few weeks ago. Costco has/had a great deal on gift cards for this restaurant forever. We had availed ourselves to 2 cards and we finally used them. Portions are gigantic, as you can imagine. One employee was serving the entire section and making cocktails as well. Food arrived relatively quickly. Quatro al Forno was unique. I had never had the shells before. The sausage was delicious inside. Fettuccine was as expected. Chicken portion was generous. Bread was a little chewy. Aside from this all food items were very good. Leftovers were good for 2 more meals. Great value on the price point at this place. read more

She checked in often, made sure everything came out right, and was especially great with our son, which we really appreciated. She made our whole family feel welcome and taken care of. Last week I had a 65 birthday celebration at my home. I ordered the primo pasta bar for 20 people. It had 2 pastas, 3 sauces, 3 proteins, bread and salad. I was having 30 guests and was nervous about running out, but I actually had left overs for days. The food was great, easy to set up and reasonably priced. To start off, the service was great. The waiter was attentive and informed us well of how the restaurant worked. He was kind and funny at times. The environment of the restaurant was also nicely decorated and had a home vibe to it. Every section was different and the music was relaxing. However, they lose two stars based on the quality of the food and price. Our bill came out to be 157 which was a surprise as in other restaurants we spend less then that with the same amount of food. I do not believe the price was right for how the food tasted. The food was bland and the soda tasted more like water then Pepsi. Overall, I think they could do better with the food. However, if you are looking for a nice place to share decent food with your family members or friends, this would be a nice place to go too. read more

Anyone that has a Bucca nearby knows that they are cemented in their reputation for being the "family style" Italian restaurant. Popular amongst large gathering such as high school dance, reunions, etc. I have not been to Bucca in about 15 years however, I was gifted a gift card for $50 so what better reason to give it a return? To note, I also opted to order to go for this order. Firstly, $50 sounded like a good chunk of change until I looked at the menu and realized it actually wasn't going to cover much given the family style format of Bucca. All pastas are offered in 2 sizes (small feeding 3 and large feeding 5) and from what I could see they are all priced at either $40 or $55 Now I played it safe and just opted for their known menu item, spaghetti and meatballs, with their "famous oversized meatballs" Overall, it wasn't bad but, wasn't anything special. Also, it came with 3 meatballs (and yes they were sizable but for $55 and for it to be able to feed 5 people, can't we throw in 2 more?) Also, it came with a side of bread but, only enough to serve about 2 people. I also requested crushed red peppers and Parmesan and they were pretty skimpy with both (again, enough to cover about 2 servings) Lastly, the dish lacked sauce. Some plates of spaghetti that I dished out were a bit dry. Overall, decent. I think the Olive Garden is a better value with their unlimited soup or salad and amazing breadsticks. read more

Vet checked on us at all the right times, offered great recommendations, and handled everything with ease--even when the place got busy. You can tell they take pride in giving customers a great experience. Our drinks stayed full, our food came out perfect, and Vet made sure we never needed to ask for anything twice. It's rare to find a server who's both friendly and on top of everything, but Vet absolutely nailed it. If you're coming here, ask for Vet--they'll make your visit that much better. Saddens me to even give this place such a low rating. Went last night to have dinner and my party was pleased with the service but the food wasn't that great. It's been at least 7-8 years since we'd last come here and we were excited to get the staples like fettuccini and lasagna etc. when we open up the menu we were hit with a price shock but if the food is still amazing it's all worth it right!. Well, the food was unfortunately high school cafeteria quality at Manhattan NY prices. The fettuccini was super basic in flavor and the sauce was too thick and just tasted off. We also got the chicken lemone which to be honest could have been cooked longer and for about 10oz of thin cut chicken breast it was a whopping $40 which was insane to me but it wasn't that good and it was the same amount of chicken you'd get in two Popeyes chicken sandwiches but fillet to appear fancy. The Lemone Chicken is most likely the one thing that didn't taste that bad but I think got us sick and this is where my weekend begins with giving a decent place a bad review. I've been in and out of the restroom all night into the morning and it was either the chicken lemone or the warm to the touch fettuccini. Oh yes and I saw a manger assisting the wait staff with bringing food to a table and she was clearly chewing on food. I'm sure it's common for staff and managers to take their breaks and get pulled to help someone out but don't chew on food while you're literally bringing people their food. It honestly just appears you snatched something off someone's plate which I know they didn't but it just appears so. Again, the server was 10/10 but the food was far from what it should be for the price. Our bill for those two items with two sodas was an insane $98. Will I return? I'll most likely give this place another chance in the distant future and personally stay away from anything with white or butter based sauces. I really think Buca di Beppo holds a place in most people's heart and delivers what you'd expect from a large corporate operated Italian restaurant that brings large groups together. My experience of course may not or ever be what you experience but I hope the company reads these reviews and makes improvements. *For a better rating they have to be consistent with the quality and bring out food hot not warm. read more

I used to love Buca, as my family always came here for the pizza. I couldn't believe the sticker shock from the prices on the menu now. No matter, I'll order the pizza we always come for. The server came out with one can of tomatoes to hold the platter the pizza comes on. I figured she forgot one. There's always two because the platter is a long rectangle. When she came out with the pizza, I finally understood why. The pizza is just about the same price as the past, but half the size. Couldn't even feed the family with this $27 pizza and would have had to order a second. I just refuse to pay $54 for a pizza to feed 3. The pizza you have now barely feeds two. We left hungry. The pizza was the thing that brought me in. Sadly, I will not be going back to Buca again. read more
