We were craving pizza so we went to Buca. It was about 9:00 they're opened until 11:00. When we entered (from the street entrance which takes you thru the kitchen) there was lots of staff. We requested a table - the big dining room was empty and about 4 tables in the bar had patrons. They had us sit to prepare a table and we waited and waited and waited and waited..... and we waited until we left. We walked thru the kitchen to exit and there was staff.. hanging out - eating and socializing. I called after leaving asking to speak to a manager... and if it's true that Gabbie really is the manager - there's your first major problem. Her only concern was did we have a reservation? No we did not. What was my name? Why did that matter? It's not as tho there was a wait. The place was mostly empty. Gabbie and I couldn't get past that point. I even told her that I'll be using her name in my yelp review and she without concern or care said... okay Here's the benefit! We found Orlando's on Torrance Blvd/Prospect Ave. Now that was awesome! The atmosphere, the staff, the food, the cocktails and the music. It was a $137.00 well spent and not wasted with Miss Gabbie and staff. Wowza! I was absolutely in heaven and blown away at this awesome restaurant! The inside of the restaurant is chalk full of art and funny pictures on the walls, this colorful place is full of friendly workers as well, if you're lucky you could even get a table in the kitchen and literally be inches away from seeing your food get made! The food is delicious and the service is relatively fast depending on how busy it is! Food is served in large portions so bring your appetite and som friends and family! Highly recommend! So I have tried buca Togo once since my last disaster and it was ok. Last Thursday 12/17 I tried to order their special but change the pasta. They let me do this before on my last order but this time is was just a NO!! Not let me check with my manager Just no go away we don't need your money. Not let me check with my manager (unless the girl was the manager then your really out of luck lol). What a joke what could a different pasta really cost and don't you just charge me for it. I got food to go last Saturday from Buca di Beppo. Tried the meat lasagna and the cheese garlic bread. I applaud the restaurant for having large family portions that lasted several days. The cheese garlic bread had great flavors and lasted a few days. The lasagna was even larger and the family size portion lasted four days. While the lasagne was good, it needed many more Italian spices to be considered great. Needs garlic and fresh tomatoes. It should taste homemade rather then a bland corporate sauce. They can do much better. Great Italian restaurant ambiance inside the restaurant and bar. I Can recommend the place but add many spices to your meal so it is much more tasty. So i went for the first time.. my girl ordered one of those mule drinks in the tin cup but instead she got the bucca bella which is in a big margarita cup.. so they are both on the same page two different names two different ingredients appear on the page, one has titos tequila the other has amsterdam vodka. well we kindly tell our waiter about the mistake his name was mathew i think some soft looking whitboy. Just came back here after refusing to come to this location for 2 years. If i want Buca I go to the one in Orange County. Whoever manages that one doesn't have their head up their rear it appears. Why is it so hard to find servers that will actually do their damn jobs? I have never been to another restaurant this bad. The servers will not show up for extended periods of time. What is the issue? Are you trying to be cheap and have a minimal staff? Or are your servers this lazy and management is part of the problem. It has to be one or the other. In any case, Buca's are great for family dinners or large parties. I would recommend just driving to the OC location. It's a further drive but you don't have to deal with the horrible way this location is run. At least get 62oz cups or something if you're servers are not coming back for 20 minutes. read more

Buca, not the most authentic Italian food in the world, but it's good. When you walk in you get to see a little bit of Italy as the restaurant is full of pics from all parts of Italy, different pics of people doing funny stuff and a variety of pics also of famous people. It's a great place to be with family for a great time. Buca's plates are family size. One plate can feed a family of 4, so always order the small. It's a family friendly restaurant and very noisy, so if u plan to go out to a quiet restaurant for a private date night, this isn't the spot for you. Service is always good and the food is delicious. Prices have definitely gone up in this place, so definitely be ready to spend. I enjoy this place and have for many years. I give this place 4 stars for food, quality, quantity and presentation. This specific Buca is a really good place to go when you want to hang out with a lot of people at once, no matter how full the restaurant might be, you can always talk to the people at your table comfortably. Empressed! I recently returned from Charlotte, North Carolina for my birthday vacation with my fiance, and while there I visited the one Buca di Beppo location in the whole city of Charlotte. I've been to Charlotte several times, and my first time there four years ago, I drove past Buca and I said I wanted to stop there one day to try the food. Well I just got around to getting there on my recent visit, and the food was absolutely great, so after I returned back to California, I looked up Buca di Beppo to see if by chance there was a location here, and what do you know, several popped up! I placed a delivery order this evening from the Redondo Bch location, and I was so anxious to experience the taste of the food again, but after opening the bag, i immediately noticed the wrong food was delivered! I instantly called Buca, and was politely apologized to and was told the wrong order was picked up, and I would get a call back soon after they see if the delivery company could re-deliver my correct order. About 15 minutes later I received a call saying my order will be remade, and delivered again. I got a call to let me know the delivery person was outside my place, and when I got outside, the delivery person apologized again, and said she was a manger at the location, and I was very impressed by this. Mistakes happen, and I am thankful Buca di Beppo corrected the mistake in a timely, professional manner. And let me add, the food was delicious once again! I hope to visit the Redondo Bch location soon. Thank you once again to the manager who took the time on a busy saturday evening to deliver my order. Definitely 5 stars! read more

The staff here is extremely rude, I came here with a very large group for my graduation party (40 people). Some of my guest asked for butter for their bread because they prefer it over the oil. While I was on my way to the restroom I walked past 4 servers who were mocking my guest about asking for butter. I will never return to this chain of restaurants and I'll be sure to tell my family to no longer bring their clients here for business dinners. Bucca is a place I come with my family pretty often. I never know why we return since we never experienced​ GREAT service before. Yesterday we had to go find our server ourselves. It was my sisters birthday and we wanted to let the server know, but we couldn't even find him anywhere. We asked other servers to find him for us. The food itself is​ okay. I have tasted better. Their portion is weird in the sense that the Small lasagna feeds about two people, but a large is way too big. Food was delicious, all of the staff were super friendly. There was some confusion when we reserved our table through open table reservation. I'm sure I reserved the Popes room but there was no confirmation and we had to sit at another table. Other than that we had excellent service. I was at this place Saturday August 20th The place was crowded, but the thing that caught my attention the most was how loud it is..Not to the extent of not being able of having a conversations, but you could hear the waiters making so much noise with the plates and all. The tour to the kitchen was awesome, except that the bathroom its somewhere so next to it. Our waiter was Kelly, very attentive and helpful, i give her a 10! Didnt wait for our food for very long, it was hot and eatable, the only thing is the TIRAMISU was high in RUM!! (I guess since i am not an alcohol person) We did return it, and the manager gave the OKAY for us to change it for some other dessert.. But above all, i give this place a 5 stars!! This weekend I had a chance to have a lunch at this restaurant. Last time I eat there was probably 15 years ago. My work used to host our Christmas parties there. It was a friendly place with god food. This time I tried to order dishes that I used to order then. No success. Spinach tortellini - gone. I asked for tiramisu for desert - not available today. Service was just OK. Waiters seemed to be tired and not very responsive. I forgot to mention, when we arrived parking was half empty but parking attendant would not less us park by the restaurant unless we used valet or pay him. I guess I'll be coming back not sooner 2032. My advice, you want a good Italian restaurant - go to Scardinos in Torrance or Eatalian in Gardena. read more

I love buca but my last experience was terrible. The waitress (white girl) was so unenthusiastic about helping us out. My boyfriend and I ordered the shrimp fra diavolo and she comes back with another type of pasta. When I told her this wasnt what we ordered she got very defensive and said "YOU ORDERED THIS PASTA YOU EVEN POINTED TO THE PICTURE" my boyfriend did not I am 100% sure because he struggled pronouncing "shrimp fra diavolo" and it made me laugh. There is something drastically wrong with the management of this place. For the second time I tried to call in a take out order and the phone just keeps ringing. Nobody answers. So I go to the restaurant and the phone is ringing constantly at the take out and it's ignored. The take out server had to ring you up then walk your ticket to the kitchen then check on your order and walk back and pick it up. Totally absurd. All the while the phone is ringing. If you want to go to a place to have fun with a lot of people in a festive restaurant with very interesting decorations and enjoyed the music very much (may have to do with being owned by Planet Hollywood) then go here but if you want to have good food at a reasonable price do NOT come here. I joined their e club (good idea if you want to patronize them regularly) and they sent me a coupon for a free entree with NO minimum purchase (they give you three choices, all pretty much meatless) my choice was spaghetti marinara. With a friend who had a Buca gift card we got a glass of 6 oz. glass of house red wine that was $10, a small order of calamari was $16, the entree we chose was $17, it was not great, luckily they had salt and pepper you could freshly grind and par. cheese on the table. Maybe some of the other meat entrees would've been better but they are high in price. The staff is nice, the manager came by to see how we were doing (it was not too busy), they even have a photographer who takes your photo which they make into a free postcard, you can purchase extra copies or ones in a frame (they do NOT pressure you to buy as one other reviewer said I found out because I asked) but while I was eating I mentioned to my date, that the Olive Garden has a special now, where for $12.99 has a special where not only can you have unlimited breadsticks, soup and salad with the entree you eat there but you can have another one to take home. Although they give you free refills of the bread here, the first order is served in big chunks, you can tell it is fresh out of the oven, but the free refill seemed like it was just perfectly sliced store bought french bread. If you want to try it out, they send flyers to residences nearby with coupon, they were in the Entertainment book and if you sign up online they give you special deals, one that I mentioned it above, otherwise it is GREATLY overpriced and as I said based on the spaghetti, the food is not that good. NOTE about parking, the valet parking is mandated by the City of Redondo Beach NOT the restaurant, it is funny how so many people want to avoid the $2 fee in this a shopping center lot. There are signs all over the place, stating no parking for Buca De Beppo customers so obviously many are trying to avoid the valet parking however if you are willing to walk a little you can park near the Smart and Final market with no warning signs. read more
