We have come to Buca for years. On its own, the restaurant has done it's job in keeping us coming back year after year. However, today may have outshined every other visit. We had the pleasure of being served and taken care of by Bradley. He was outstanding. We never had to ask for anything... a refill, a napkin, etc. He stayed on top of keeping us informed with the status of our food and made sure we had everything we needed and then some. My husband and I went to the restaurant on Saturday and received EXCELLENT service from Timothy. He was very nice and attentive. He listened to me talk about Moulin Rouge and advanced crafting. When the restaurant started to get crowded he managed to attend to a large group, including me. I appreciate the fact he always made a point to make sure my husband and I had everything we needed. Just ok. It is corporate food, so I'm not surprised. Lasagna a bit dry and portions not even near generous. Honestly think Lomeli's is much better. I think their prices are higher than what they should be just because its family style. I was charged $28 for a bowl of pasta that my wife and I finished which wasn't that big compared to other italian restaurants. Not the best value for your money in my opinion. Food was good but if it wasn't for the $20 off coupon I wouldn't have gone. $50 for a sale and pasta is a little much for my liking. Yikes looked like a fun place to eat but i did not actually get to try the food. It was a full hour before the restaurant closed not ten minutes. There was no one at the host stand so we waited there until someone finally came by. She walked us through a filthy restaurant of dirty tables that needed to be bussed. The servers finished singing happy birthday then got to work bussing LOUDLY COMPLAINING and gossiping. No one wants to listen to that when dining out. Of course there is only one other table in there so i hear the servers complaining about having another table. Sorry i figured a full hour before would be enough time. That behavior in front of guests is disgusting why would i want to sit through dining here after i had to listen to you complain about having to serve me. So we walked out no thanks ill spend my money anywhere else. read more

This place does not live up to the wait. It's decent, but just in mass quantity production, and family style dining isn't my thing. I'd rather have my own order, but the bread is really good and I filled up on that a lot before the meal even arrives. Be aware the wait time is usually pretty long. read more

Went here to grab a good bye dinner and went I arrived early to my reservation early, they were still able to seat me as soon as I got there. The food is filling and there is plenty to take home. Our waiter, Cibely was extremely sweet and helpful and our food got here in less than 20 mins. Would definitely continue coming back here! read more

My family and I have been coming here for decades. We have pictures of me when I was just a little baby sitting at the Pope's table. Today, more than 10 years later, we've experienced some of the best service we've had of all these years. Scheduled pick up last night for 5:45 PM. Usually (but not always) the food is excellent. This time was no exception, i.e. excellent. Usually (but not always), the service - dine-in. pick-up, or delivery - is erratic. This time it was unacceptably bad. Arrived a few minutes after 5:45. Told food will be ready in 10 minutes. No problem - took it smilingly. 15 minutes later, told it will be right out. A while later, told it's coming. Another while later, told it's coming in 5-7 minutes. It did. 45 minutes late in total. The worst part was the misinformation provided repeatedly by the staff. I requested compensation, minimum 50% off the price, not really expecting same. Instead, I received a "free" chocolate cake, courtesy of "the Manager". Worn down, tired, and hungry, I simply took my order and left. Buca di Beppo owes me $164 for this deplorable experience. Gabby and the staff were awesome. A fun night at the kitchen table made our birthday celebration a life long memory. We visited 2/28 and ordered lasagna and fettuccini supremo. As I was eating, I found a hair in my food. I waived down the waitress, she apoligized, asked to give her a moment and came back. She asked us if we wanted it remade and we said yes. Not once did a manager approach us to apologize amd we got our fetuccini back so late that we were no longer hungry. read more

Boy oh boy! what happened to this place. I remember coming here years ago for family functions and we had an absolutely wonderful time, although it was a bit pricey at least the proportions were generous. I recently ordered a small salad to go and paid close to $30 for it. The lettuce was wilted and brown around the edges. The ingredients (besides the lettuce) we're very scarce and you could tell the salad was poorly made, which surprises me it was right at the beginning of the shift for dinner. Either it was leftover salad from lunch or they were totally serving hear your products. The worst part about my experiences that I emailed corporate, not asking for anything but just letting them know of my experience and they didn't even have the courtesy to respond. We've been to this place numerous times before & this is the first time we experienced bad service. We made online reservations and got seated after 10 minutes of waiting. Waited 30 minutes for our server to come before I asked one of the ladies at the front for help. The server came over after another 10 minutes. We got our drinks, then the pasta came out, before the bread, salad & appetizer! Yikes!! We also had to wait for the pizza, we were told it's still in the oven. We were done eating when the server came to apologize that our pizza was given to someone else. They had to make a new one for us. A another lady came to apologize and said they'll comp our dessert. My DIL asked for more hot water & was told the kitchen was already closed even though the people behind our table came in right before closing time & just placed their order. This is seriously a bad way to treat people!! It's a shame the employees there can't get things right. I'm only giving 2 stars because the food was good, otherwise, this would be ZERO stars. read more

I had been to Buca years before in AZ and always had a great experience. My first visit to the Redondo Beach location yielded a mediocre but pleasant enough experience. The food was awesome but the service less than I would expect. HOWEVER, upon receiving my survey online taken from the website on the receipt, I got an email that same night from the manager asking me to please return and be their VIP guest. She wanted to set things right and make sure I knew what she sets the standard of service to be. The only stipulation was that alcohol could not be comped. Everything else that night, for as many people as I cared to bring back, would be complimentary. i made a reservation, returned and was treated like a king. I have never had better service than Janice provided. She was attentive and sweet. The food was exceptional and the experience amazing. And all because I filled out an online survey that said my service was less than amazing. The managerial staff doesn't get any better than this! I would wholeheartedly recommend the Redondo Beach Buca and will be returning many times myself. read more

I usually don't do reviews, but I had dinner last night with my family and I have to say not only did I have a great server, funny and on top of his game,made the kids feel great and welcome , the portion were almost to much and my Gorgonzola salad was out of this world. After we were done a manager came by to make sure everything was to our liking , which is nice because you feel appreciated. I last came here about 5 years ago. My first experience was at the parking lot with building management controling the parking lot. Its all valet I ask the attendant for self parking and he ask me to go park at chase bank. I was looking forward to the garlic mash potatoes with large meat balls but they took it off the menu so i ordered lasagna and the waiter came back after taking the order to let me know that they ran out. The red pasta sauce with pasta and meat balls was warm. This place has gone down hill from my last visit. With the inflated prices I think I will take my business somewhere else in the future. read more

I thought I was the only one who noticed the strong sewer order directly adjacent to the kitchen...it smells so ugly....I couldn't enjoy the food because the smell of the sewer was still in my mind. When I finally ate the food, I had food poisoning for close to two days. I didn't want to write a review initially, however, the sewer smell has been present the last 3 times I have been there ordering to go. So nasty. read more

We sat down at 7:30 pm for dinner celebrating a graduation ... ordered our food with our drink order ... drinks came 15 minutes later ... food didn't arrive until an hour later. Complained to manager ... she said sorry, this is our busiest time ... not enough servers ... lots of empty tables ... guess what ... food was cold. It is basically our first time eating out as a family since the pandemic started. We had just came from the beach and looking for somewhere to eat with an outside patio. We happened to drive by Buca di Beppo and there was space for us to eat. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome. Our server Cibely was very attentive and gave us everything we needed.
